With all my college savings, I decided to go to Japan last spring break with an itinerary that was heavily based off of Simon and Martina's videos. And I just want to say, truly, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU FOR EXISTING. Those 9 incredible days I spent in Japan was truly amazing and unforgettable. Back to the point, yes, we decided to go to this place, and Simon and Martina had no ounce of exaggeration during the entirety of this video. The entire experience in itself was surreal, and the chefs treated us like gods. My tea never went cold, my plate was wiped clean after every bite, and to top it off, it was a rainy night, and one of the apprentices ran after us and gave my friend and I umbrellas, which now hold an incredibly sentimental value in both mine and my friend's lives. We paid abut $260 for our meal, which was about 40 pieces. We could have gone further, but I literally was about to burst, although the patrons beside us kept going for a good amount of time after. Only downside, been back in the USA for almost 6 months, and eating sushi has never been the same, so I don't eat it as much anymore here. Sigh. TLDR: if you go to Japan, and are passionate about sushi, then this place is a MUST.
@@davidlopes27 It's a fixed price, called "Omakase" in Japanese, which just means the Chef picks what will be served to you for that day (based off the freshness of the available fish, it changes seasonally). Chef Oka serves over 40 pieces of sashimi and sushi which is an INSANE amount, but gosh, it is worth it. We just ate there again a few months ago :)
Lolol people commenting things like "THAT'S NOT HOW YOU EAT SUSHI YOU WEABOOS!! OMG QUIT SMELLING IT!!" Meanwhile the sushi chefs are absolutely ecstatic about their reactions and sad when they say they're full and have to leave. Some of yall have no chill.

Out of all your FAP FAP'S this one I was most envious of you guys for. I can truly tell how awesome it must have been from your reactions. I want to go to Japan for sushi now!! D': You guys should so do another sushi review. :) Fighting!!
yurikitsuki This was definitely our favourite food video ever. Not because of the quality of the video, but because it was literally the best meal I ever had in my entire life.
Why there's so many pricks in the comment section? I understand if you didn't like or find the video interesting, but I don't understand why people has to be so mean and judgemental. I don't know if they break any table rule, but let them be happy guys. At least they'r not being jerks like some of you.
I completely understand the looks on your faces while eating the sushi. I've been to a place that serves that style of sushi and it makes your eyes roll back and you want to cry. This places looks AMAZING and it's reminding me of my good experiences too! Also, side note but how come the comments on this video in particular are suddenly so nasty? What's wrong with people? Are Japan fans just that much snobbier? This coming from someone who knows more about Japan and knew nothing about Korea, I'm really ashamed. Fun fact, people from Osaka all smell their food before eating. I'm sure these people wouldn't be leaving nasty comments about an Osakan Japanese person doing that while eating Edo style sushi. So many mega rude comments below and it's really upsetting me but I hope you guys just ignore them cuz they're all nuts :(
Thank you for the fantastic comment! I'm surprised so many people don't agree that smelling your food enhances the taste (hence when you have a cold, food tastes like cardboard). The chef was actually super happy with our extreme happiness and he was absolutely lovely and patient trying to explain everything to us even though we didn't ask! I think the mega rude comments just come because this video suddenly got a lot of views. When it had just our normal audience views, no one was angry but as soon as something is popular online, people get angry. Hahaha just the way of the jealous internet! :D

I'm seeing a lot of comments about how Simon and Martina are rude for speaking loudly (kind of) in the restaurant, how stupid they are for saying this place has the best sushi, a bunch of racist comments, and comments on how they are eating the sushi wrong/their mannerisms are wrong. This is just a video of two foreign people's experience eating in a sushi restaurant. This should not be getting this much hate and awful comments. Honestly, the comments section is Simon and Martina's videos are full of hilarious, light, and nice comments from people that are part of a family-like community. But unfortunately once a video gets a lot of popularity, more than usual, a lot of people that are unfamiliar with Simon and Martina come in and make a bunch of awful comments. It's makes me really sad.
Hahaha, I know right? Don't let it stress you, it doesn't bother us! When people view our video from a search engine they have no idea how long we've lived in Asia or our backstory so they're just blurting out their first thought like verbal diarrhea. It's amazing how much anger is on the internet but over time you learn to just ignore it. It's just a SUSHI VIDEO! I hope people who genuinely enjoy food and adventures like this video because that's who we make these videos for. :D
Eat Your Kimchi thank you guys, it's awesome that you share your adventures with us. It takes guts to try new things and your videos give us a chance to do just that. I am grateful to you both.
To everyone saying that Martina smelling her food is rude, if you watch any video where they are eating, she always smells it. It's just what she does. I don't find it rude at all. Hell, if it smells good, I'm gonna smell it. I feel it adds to the experience, especially when eating new food. And to the people saying they are weeaboos and rude foreigners, I'm vice president of the Japanese club at my school and I don't even know how to eat sushi, nor do I know the apparent customs of eating in a Japanese sushi restaurant. I wasn't raised eating sushi and neither were Martina and Simon (cause, you know, I live in the southern US and they lived in Canada) so of course none of us would know how to properly eat sushi. If I went to a sushi place and had the chef there help me out like the chef in this video did, I would be grateful, not offended. Cause I'd rather have someone tell me how to eat it instead of possibly offending someone by eating it wrong. And to the people saying the camera is too close to Simon's face, she was on her iPhone. And the black "fly" on the screen? Martina herself said it is a burnt out pixel in one of her comments.
I always smell my food, haha. I can't believe people find that rude. I mean, it would be one thing if it was a common food, but eating sushi of this caliber is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Might as well savor it!
***** This is one of the freshest sushi places around the world. It different from cooked cuisine. Have you ever seen chefs sniff sashimi? Also, different cultures and countries have different mannerisms. Aside from the art of cuisine sniffing the food is rude and seems like she's questioning the quality of the food. As well as doubting the chefs validity moreso because the chef in front of her is probably more proffesional and has more knowledge about sushi. So for you to say that people who are saying that it's rude to sniff the food "haven't really eating an authentic masterpiece cuisine", that seems very ignorant of you. To state your opinion against somebody else's culture and mannerisms and say that you're right. Loooool
Perhaps it's not rude in western culture, but it can be taken as an offense that they are implying that the food isn't fresh, the same way you're taught to not rub chopsticks together when eating out.
Haven't watched this video for a long time, and wow, there are so many unexpected rude comment. 1, Some people just don't grow up in a culture where everyone tell them "do not smell your food". So what are you expecting? Everyone has to act the way that fits your logic and culture? If they are in your country where smelling food is really bad thing, that's another story. People who say Martina is rude by smelling food, didn't aware of being rude themselves. 2, About questioning Simon's sexual orientation. IMO sexual orientation is not an offensive topic, but it's really annoying! HE IS MARRIED!! 3, Lastly for those people really have nothing to hate about, just started to comment rudely. Some says the chef must be annoyed by them, where did you see that? I saw a passionate chef who was happy because someone appreciated his food. Some says they ate Sushi in a wrong way, c'mon, nobody is born knowing how to eat every food properly! Thank you for teaching me how to eat Sushi though XD. And Simon and Martina acted overreacted? You just don't understand foodie. Plus, it's an entertaining video, it's really common that people in an entertaining video act exaggerated. So just enjoy the video as much as you can
Agreed, its absurd how people nit pick over the dumbest things. I would react the same way, when you have really good sushi its really hard to describe how amazing it taste.
I agree, there was nothing offensive about their actions at all. The chef had even persuaded them to stay for one last dish. Also, I don't think Simon and Martina were eating it wrong, because they mentioned that the chef was explaining how to eat it.
When dinner cost you 500 to 600 US dollars, I don't think there is anything wrong with looking, touching, tasting and smelling to really savor and give yourself the full experience. Not everyone in their lifetime will be this lucky to have such an exquisite meal. So what I would like to tell the food snobs is just get over it. :0)
Seriously, what is up with these mean comments? I saw nothing wrong with this video. It was just a video of a lovely couple enjoying their sushi while on vacation. Some people seriously have the nerve to be so mean.. like really? Anyways, yay them for posting a video about sushi on my birthday
+Uyen Vu Haha yeah, that's normal whenever a video goes viral. Anytime your video is viewed by people who don't understand where you live or what you do they just pound away on the keyboard with weird comments without even thinking it through. But that's okay, we just wanted to share this epic meal. :)
Phuong Hoang Yo. I swear to god you have my middle name. Except mine is flipped.. so it would be "Hoang Phuong". and thank you for that wonderful comment :)
that chef seems to be really passionate about cooking, i read on blog that the restaurants only has seven seats. and when he cooks he's so concentrate and chill.
Oh my god I really want to go to Japan now! I get to go when I am a senior in high school... 3 years to go!!! I can't wait to experience the food and the amazing culture!!!
Hey! I'm such a huge fan of your channel and I can't stop watching it!!! I had one quick question, how much did all of this sushi cost? Was it affordable, or (since the quality and preparation was pretty spectacular) was it crazy expensive? Hope to travel the world like you guys one day, xoxo lots of love from Ottawa, Ontario!
Hey Martina! I hope you are doing well. I wish to share that after watching this vid over and over and over again for quite a few years, I have finally booked Sushisho Masa when I travel from HK to Japan next month! Perhaps because of covid it is easier to book now. I just wish to say I LOVE YOU! and you inspire me very much, not just about food and also your way of handling life. love you always!
+Eat Your Kimchi I've eaten at both Masa and Jiro, however there are actually better. Here is my list of top 5 :) 1. Sushi Saito 2. Sushi Yoshitake 3. Sukiyabashi Jiro (Ginza location, not ropponggi. I admire his pursuit of perfection in every fish) 4. Masa 5. Kanesaka Hope you get to try it sometime!
I've never had sushi before but I still have a long life ahead of me (I hope all of those birthday wishes worked mum and dad always say 'first wish for a long safe and healthy life') !!! ^^ Also would you happen to know if starfish is edible? I've always wanted to know... anyways your facial expressions were so funny that they would go great on a t.v ad!!
I've been a huge fan of your videos, and I keep re watching this because it looks so good... ;A; I'm sorry this comments section has been overrun with arguments about everything OTHER than the main point- which is the fact that you guys got to eat amazing food and everyone is jelly. The more popular a video is, the more haters it attracts I guess :/
We're twins!! Haha. I hate seeing all this negativity in the comments, but it is the internet after all. I swear I re-watch their videos like an addict.
at 3:00 there is constantly a fruit fly on the lense LOL , and for those who dont know 95% of wasabi THAT BURNS YOU is actually mostly just horse radish with food colouring. this here is real wasabi it takes 3 years to grow won the bottom of a sea bed under canopy light. is very expensive. the taste is suppose to be half that of "wasabi" real wasabi that is and compliments fish 100x more. the reason it didnt burn and complimented it so much is probably for this reason all thought ive never tried real wasabi :(
morgan bogaert Got all that from Chef Devon's video I bet. I saw the same video two links before this one. The two people in the video looks weird. The guy has very... undulated... lips
My wife and me were there last year in October. It is expensive yes but after that two hour and fifty minutes dinner I have to say it was worth every single yen. Thanks to Simon and Martina because we would never know this place without your video. Over one hour my wife and me were the only persons in the restaurant. So Masa and another 4 staff guys only served for us. It was not just a dinner it was a experience. If you ever have the chance to go there do!
The food looks absolutely amazing and I love how the chefs handled you, so professional and passionate towards the food. My mouth is filled with saliva now.
What in the... what?? i just re-watched this and i made the mistake of going down in the comments and what the heck is going on? This isn't very nasty-like? People are so rude and butthurt about everything. Why? I just.. I don't.. argh..
I know right? When I first watched this video, the comments were all about the love of sushi and how everyone wanted to try some. Now it's like all the trolls have gathered under one video and went to town on it :/
Mapz Hmar Zate I guess I'm unintentionally funny :D I'll take it as a compliment XD Thank you! And I'm happy you found it funny enough to laugh that much :)
Breeauna Trouo That's okay, I know I'm not funny to everyone. My humor is sometimes really dry and not very many people understand dry humor :) Mapz Hmar Zate Thanks for sticking up for me ^///^
it's the "bug" camera. It's just something stuck in the camera. I promise we will survive this, we will just have to stick together and overcome the urge of punching our monitors to rid of the spot.
Eat Your Kimchi How is this restaurant work? do you choose like what youre going to eat out of the menu, or we just eat whatever they just serve you with. I'm confused D:
And we just ate here again a month ago and filmed a mini video in honour :) It was even better now that we've learned so much more about Japan and sushi
You know what I find the funniest about the comments? The fact that they are white people with tattoos and dyed hair they are immediately labeled as an American hipster "Japanese wannabe" They are from Canada, living in South Korea and wanted to experience Japan and their food. It makes me sick to see how ignorant people are and how quick they are to assume.
Since everyone is confessing so can i, I watch this video almost every time i eat and im soo glad I’m not the only one 😅 Lots of love my beautiful humans 💕
+Simon and Martina Now that you live in Japan I would love to see you guys go back to this place. I've seen this video over and over and it's how I discovered your amazing channel and life!
Alexander Ulvnas Haha same here, i can get like 20 small sushi pieces for 7-10€ in germany, I never tought that meal would be 500$ for 2 persons O_O I tought it would be like 40-50€ per person.
Wow, i wanna go there NOW. I always close my eyes, tilt my head backwards, take deep breaths and so on when eating amazing food. i sometimes actually find it too difficult to handle how good the food is and start to simulate crying. Thanks Simon and Martina
That's so hard to answer. Saito was a very mystical experience. Watching him work is almost as amazing as tasting his food. The entire package is what's amazing. Masa, though, is super dear to our hearts. It's our first experience of amazing sushi, and it blew us away. I think of it as losing our virginity. It's something I'll always remember :D
Look guys, firstly if you did not like the video that is fine but it's seriously rude to be so hateful towards Simon and Martina. I understand smelling your food can be considered a little rude in Japan however she don't live in Japan and may have not known, she was;t doing it purposefully and Japanese people know that she may not know all the rules and not take any offence. In fact the chef did not seem one bit offended. Second I know Simon did show his appreciation for the food, that's obviously because he liked it. If you have a problem with his reaction then please click off the video because you can be doing other things in this video. Third just because they are white does not mean they can't eat sushi, that's like saying a Japanese person can't eat a burger. It doesn't matter what ethnicity the person is, they can eat whatever they want.
Watching this makes me cry. I have wanted to visit/live in Japan for as long as I can remember and I wish I was there. I could only imagine eating that sushi and crying because it's so good and my dreams are finally happening. You both are very lucky and blessed, despite all the EDS and whatnot. Keep going!
actually real wasabi isn't hot at all, wasabi (if you can even call it that) that you buy from a super market isn't even real wasabi its like a mixture of horse radish and other ingredients, in fact 95% of wasabi you buy from stores isn't real wasabi because it takes too long to manufacture, real wasabi needs 3 - 4 years to fully mature, real wasabi needs extremely specific conditions to grow, it needs to be in a river bed with trees over hanging it, that's why when you look up real wasabi and see how much it is, you under stand that $500 - $1000 dollars for wasabi isn't so much for how much work is needed to produce it ;) p.s your very lucky to be able to taste real wasabi ahahha, that's why it wasn't hot because real wasabi isn't, it supposed to taste like it was meant to be with the fish your tasting, its suppose to complement it not take away the taste of the fish through burning hotness.
Oh my god... I can't handle how good this looks. Sushi is my favorite food and I live in Ohio, so I've never had "real sushi" . I can't wait until when I can to go Japan at some point in my life and go to THIS EXACT RESTAURANT
+Alysscka It's because I think that is not the best sushi in Japan, I think the owner of that restaurant has a father that actually does top notch 3 star kind of things.
+Cloa P. Sounds like it was pretty amazing to them, like, died and gone to heaven amazing. I think the dislikes are because they didn't say what all the items were, also, because some people are just dicks and click dislike just to be jerks.
This girl needs to stop sniffing the food like a dog. Imagine if u prepare a meal and someone, and that someone starts putting their nose all up on your food. It really shows a sign of distrust. I'm not saying you can never smell your food, but if you do, do it somewhere away from the chef or the cook.
Anyone who's gone to a wine tasting knows smelling it is part of identifying and appreciating it. It's the same for fine foods in my opinion. Each fish is different just like each variety of wine is different so smelling it is necessary to understand and appreciate it.
Listen if the chef has such a focus on people smelling what he made, then I don't think it's the people eating it that have some major issues to work through.
I need to go to this restaurant! I'm a vegan here in Australia, but whenever I go to Japan I put that part of my lifestyle aside and go nuts on sushi. It.Is.Amazing.

Rockford Kennedy If I ever make it to Japan I want to go here. I worry about it ruining sushi. Was it 260 each or for 2
Tim Slomka it was for each!
How do they price it? Is it based on the amount you eat or is it a fixed price?
@@davidlopes27 It's a fixed price, called "Omakase" in Japanese, which just means the Chef picks what will be served to you for that day (based off the freshness of the available fish, it changes seasonally). You guys should do a remake of this video since your back in Japan. This was one of my favorites, I've watched it like 30 times
We actually found the best ranked sushi place in all of Japan. It's got a long reservation list, and we're gonna go!
+Simon and Martina which one? I wanna go!
+Simon and Martina And its still not Jiros??!?!?

Married to a man?
I love shusi and trying to make but it's too hard for me OOh MOG
anyone scrolling through comment section to check what people saying about the bug? lol
Exactly me
I keep trying to clean my screen dammit
+Jason Yeong yeah, i was like what the hell is that
RollerJR
same lol
Yup 😄
Seriously, what is up with these mean comments? I saw nothing wrong with this video. It was just a video of a lovely couple enjoying their sushi while on vacation. Some people seriously have the nerve to be so mean.. like really?
Anyways, yay them for posting a video about sushi on my birthday
+Uyen Vu Haha yeah, that's normal whenever a video goes viral. Anytime your video is viewed by people who don't understand where you live or what you do they just pound away on the keyboard with weird comments without even thinking it through. But that's okay, we just wanted to share this epic meal. :)
Eat Your Kimchi Omg.. You guys replied to me!
+Uyen Vu People like you are the reason I still have faith in humanity.
Phuong Hoang Yo. I swear to god you have my middle name. Except mine is flipped.. so it would be "Hoang Phuong". and thank you for that wonderful comment :)
that chef seems to be really passionate about cooking, i read on blog that the restaurants only has seven seats. and when he cooks he's so concentrate and chill.
you guys are litterally my life!! iv watched almost 6 hours of just eat your kimchi soo much love!

It's a shame that getting a lot of views attracts some nasty commenters.

Oh my god I really want to go to Japan now! I get to go when I am a senior in high school... 3 years to go!!! I can't wait to experience the food and the amazing culture!!!
It gets boring as hell when you live here for like 10 years.
English subs are now up, if you need em :D
Glad to know you guys check up on your past videos. :)
Derps&Happiness24 Yeah! We're trying to put up as many subs as we can!
Wow, keep up the hard work! :D
Hey! I'm such a huge fan of your channel and I can't stop watching it!!!
I had one quick question, how much did all of this sushi cost? Was it affordable, or (since the quality and preparation was pretty spectacular) was it crazy expensive?
Hope to travel the world like you guys one day,
xoxo lots of love from Ottawa, Ontario!
Zoe Naidoo I had a search around and someone paid $200pp
I visited Sushisho Masa in november 2018. I discovered it because of this video.

Hey Martina! I hope you are doing well. I wish to share that after watching this vid over and over and over again for quite a few years, I have finally booked Sushisho Masa when I travel from HK to Japan next month! Perhaps because of covid it is easier to book now. I just wish to say I LOVE YOU! and you inspire me very much, not just about food and also your way of handling life. love you always!
they divorced. she has her own channel now
The man making the sushi looks so happy serving people and makes the sushi with all the little details big i bet that's why the sushi tastes awesome
The professionalism of that restaurant is through the roof and i havent even been out of Canada
French subtitles now up!
+meaturama Was that necessary??
meaturama Well, it's kinda sorta REALLY rude to call someone a dickhead for no reason??¿¿
Ah.
+Eat Your Kimchi thanks guys ! My English is not really good, but I love your videos and I try to make every effort!
Again thank you , a French fan!
+Eat Your Kimchi
I've eaten at both Masa and Jiro, however there are actually better. Here is my list of top 5 :)
1. Sushi Saito
2. Sushi Yoshitake
3. Sukiyabashi Jiro (Ginza location, not ropponggi. I admire his pursuit of perfection in every fish)
4. Masa
5. Kanesaka
Hope you get to try it sometime!
Japanese subs are now up as well!
Starfish is edible, I found a picture and it almost looks like they deep fried it o-o You can find it in China (probably one of those street-foods)
Is it racist to not eat sushi?
billy jingles
No no, its perfectly fine :D
Thank-you for Japanese sub
I've been a huge fan of your videos, and I keep re watching this because it looks so good... ;A; I'm sorry this comments section has been overrun with arguments about everything OTHER than the main point- which is the fact that you guys got to eat amazing food and everyone is jelly.
The more popular a video is, the more haters it attracts I guess :/
Hey we have the same picture! :D And I agree with you, I'm such a big fan of their videos, I watch them so much it's like my drug or smth :P.
We're twins!! Haha. I hate seeing all this negativity in the comments, but it is the internet after all. I swear I re-watch their videos like an addict.
I do rly miss these days. Hope you the best , guys.
did anyone else thought that little black dot/fruit fly in their video was on your screen and tried to kill it? i sure did...
Lol, I love the love that glazes over Simon's eyes when he eats something he really likes.
at 3:00 there is constantly a fruit fly on the lense LOL , and for those who dont know 95% of wasabi THAT BURNS YOU is actually mostly just horse radish with food colouring. this here is real wasabi it takes 3 years to grow won the bottom of a sea bed under canopy light. is very expensive. the taste is suppose to be half that of "wasabi" real wasabi that is and compliments fish 100x more. the reason it didnt burn and complimented it so much is probably for this reason all thought ive never tried real wasabi :(
that's some real knowledge.
why do you get all the likes!?!??!! lol.
morgan bogaert Got all that from Chef Devon's video I bet.
Anyone else eat semi good food while watching ppl eat amazing food on UA-cam xD
why isn't your comment the top one ? here's a like
The food looks absolutely amazing and I love how the chefs handled you, so professional and passionate towards the food. My mouth is filled with saliva now.
What in the... what?? i just re-watched this and i made the mistake of going down in the comments and what the heck is going on? This isn't very nasty-like? People are so rude and butthurt about everything. Why? I just.. I don't.. argh..
These are just scumbag trolls that have nothing better to do. Its getting really annoying.
Heather Kaylie your not funny
Breeauna Trouo That's okay, I know I'm not funny to everyone. My humor is sometimes really dry and not very many people understand dry humor :)
Mapz Hmar Zate Thanks for sticking up for me ^///^
WTF IS THAT THING ON THE SCREEN!!! I WAS TRYING TO WIPE MY MONITOR THE WHOLE TIME!!!
SAME
it's the "bug" camera. It's just something stuck in the camera. I promise we will survive this, we will just have to stick together and overcome the urge of punching our monitors to rid of the spot.
+The Half Ginger I almost broke the touch screen display trying to smudge the life out of it 😨
Ikr
Hahahah same here. That was really annoying
Anyone else try to get that little bug off the screen through half the video lol
hilarious! I had to share the video to see if it was on my tv screen! LOL
+QuIkSiLvEr1345 it actually pissed me.
+QuIkSiLvEr1345 I DID I THOUGHT IT WAS ON MY COMPUTER SO WAS TRYING TO SCRAPE IT OF
+C00LDOG 12316 Lol me too x3
+QuIkSiLvEr1345 yeah I paid all my attention on it lol
I can't stop watching your video!! I'm eight weeks pregnant and this video has me craving sushi and I have such a long ways to go!
Congratulations! Sushi is a very good delicacy! Hopefully you can get to this restaurant sooner or later!
I can't believe all the haters in the comments! You seem like a lovely couple, and the meal looked fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
I work at a school and I have a week off this coming week and I plan to re watch a lot of EYK videos. No regrets
How much did this whole experience cost?
Looked so amazing!
I always come back to the video.....
+kirsten victoria so do I...this experience...was so great. The chef was so lovely and excited to serve great food. :)
+Eat Your Kimchi nic m8
+kirsten victoria same! Makes me crave sushi every time
+kirsten victoria Haha, me too! My fourth time already! :D
The farthest Simon can get in his sentence every time is, "Guys. This is the smoothest, creamiest-"
Don't forget he counted to butteriest at least once :D
Can't blame him. I'm just like that with food that is ah-mazing
This vid is a classic, one of my favorites ever... Sometimes, I feel I need to come back and watch it again.
Dutch subtitles now up as well!
also looks really scary but okay!
Eat Your Kimchi Im in love with the eyes of that girl... so pretty... (L)
Eat Your Kimchi Eat Your Kimchi is liefde Eat Your Kimchi is leven :p

Eat Your Kimchi dude you look like a parot!:D
Eat Your Kimchi I an Japanese but I've never eaten those kind of sushi.
so high quality :-O
Eat Your Kimchi How is this restaurant work? do you choose like what youre going to eat out of the menu, or we just eat whatever they just serve you with. I'm confused D:
Eat Your Kimchi Thank you! :D
how much did this meal cost? How does it compare in price to regular sushi?
This has been answered many times before, it never hurts to take a look at the top comments...
The meal cost them $250/person.
Theodora $250 in what currency?
Mei Lin Chen can't you see the dollar sign......................
Noctis erin Is it Canadian? US?
Prady Rao You're giving our Canadian Dollar too much credit. 250 USD would be about 300 CAD today.
Smelling food is another way of enjoying it.
so unfair, my mouth is watering so much
Literally broke one of my monitors cus of that bug.
+Raym Blackshire thats makes us two hahaha
I thought a bug got inside my screen...
Literally?
calm down eren its a bug not a titan...
Eren Jaeger I like your profile picture! C:
I wonder how many people poked the screen at 0:27
🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻
+That Guy Again annoying...................................
+That Guy Again I did xD
+That Guy Again I did lol, i thought it was a fking Mosquito
+That Guy Again Oh my god I did!
Watching this in 2020 XD They've come a long way :)
And we just ate here again a month ago and filmed a mini video in honour :) It was even better now that we've learned so much more about Japan and sushi
You guys are awesome! Keep doing what you do!
sugapop45 Thank you!
You know what I find the funniest about the comments? The fact that they are white people with tattoos and dyed hair they are immediately labeled as an American hipster "Japanese wannabe"
They are from Canada, living in South Korea and wanted to experience Japan and their food. It makes me sick to see how ignorant people are and how quick they are to assume.
I know :(
LOL simon! "this is the smoothest, creamiest, butteriest..."
日本に来てくれて、こうやって美味しいものを食べてくれて満足してくれるのは日本人としてうれしい
This is so satisfying to watch
Such delicious looking art! Look how intense they are when they're making it!!
speaking of delicious looking art.. lol :) just an observation!
Who else is stoned wishing you could be the one sitting here eating that....
Randy Lahey Omg!!! This!!!
Simon, your face is exactly my face when I ate CHU-TORO and OHO-TORO at very first time. They are king of Sushi ! Yay !
MY MOUTH IS WATERING
Sitting here crying and eating my can of tuna
Just wondering, how much did this whole... sampler cost you? It seems like it would be extremely expensive
I read a blog and it said it costs around 20.000 to 40.000 yen per person
Novia Kristiani ... that's like a quarter in usd.
1 dollar is around 100 yen, so 20.000 yen is roughly 200 dollars Ethan Novacane
sorry, you didn't use commas lol
Since everyone is confessing so can i, I watch this video almost every time i eat and im soo glad I’m not the only one 😅 Lots of love my beautiful humans 💕
Spanish subtitles now up, too!
are there any food places you think you will just have to eat from while you are in Japan?
+Simon and Martina Now that you live in Japan I would love to see you guys go back to this place. I've seen this video over and over and it's how I discovered your amazing channel and life!
+Simon and Martina hi what is the title of instrumental music played when you guys eat the fatty tuna sushi?
INDONESIA subtitles please
Was that bug on your lens hungry to? Just wondering. It looks like a bug on your lens.
How much was this meal?
It was $500 for the two of us, but we stayed there for over 2 hours. It was truly awesome!
Eat Your Kimchi What the heck.. Isn't that.. Too much?
Chan Dara not for the best sushi in the country. really nice restaurants are more of an experience, like going to a play or w/e, so $500 is normal.
***** Eating yourself full on Sushi where I'm from is about 10 bucks, given its not the same quality at all.
Alexander Ulvnas Haha same here, i can get like 20 small sushi pieces for 7-10€ in germany, I never tought that meal would be 500$ for 2 persons O_O I tought it would be like 40-50€ per person.
So many flavours and so many people chose to be salty.
Wow, i wanna go there NOW.
I always close my eyes, tilt my head backwards, take deep breaths and so on when eating amazing food.
i sometimes actually find it too difficult to handle how good the food is and start to simulate crying.
Thanks Simon and Martina
Qtn: since this is very old video do you still think this is the best sushi place since almost all your video is the best. can you rank them up?
That's so hard to answer. Saito was a very mystical experience. Watching him work is almost as amazing as tasting his food. The entire package is what's amazing. Masa, though, is super dear to our hearts. It's our first experience of amazing sushi, and it blew us away. I think of it as losing our virginity. It's something I'll always remember :D
I came back to this video just to see this question lol. Thanks foxhuntercustom :D
This video is responsible for multiple finger prints on my screen.
Keep going!
This was the first video that i watched on their channel omg the feels 😭😂
actually real wasabi isn't hot at all, wasabi (if you can even call it that) that you buy from a super market isn't even real wasabi its like a mixture of horse radish and other ingredients, in fact 95% of wasabi you buy from stores isn't real wasabi because it takes too long to manufacture, real wasabi needs 3 - 4 years to fully mature, real wasabi needs extremely specific conditions to grow, it needs to be in a river bed with trees over hanging it, that's why when you look up real wasabi and see how much it is, you under stand that $500 - $1000 dollars for wasabi isn't so much for how much work is needed to produce it ;) p.s your very lucky to be able to taste real wasabi ahahha, that's why it wasn't hot because real wasabi isn't, it supposed to taste like it was meant to be with the fish your tasting, its suppose to complement it not take away the taste of the fish through burning hotness.
Wow I never knew that! Very interesting
Wow! thanks for explaining all that :) wish I get the chance one day to experience it for myself!
The more you know~
am i the only one who noticed the fly on the screen????
1:03
you're not the only one
he said her camera died and they were using the "bug camera" probably named because of the bug in it
man!! i thoungt it was a spot on my screen and tried to rub it off like couple of times until i realised it was in their camara..lmfao
thapa02 I just did the same thing! haha
i kept wiping my screen because of that
Oh my god... I can't handle how good this looks. Sushi is my favorite food and I live in Ohio, so I've never had "real sushi" . I can't wait until when I can to go Japan at some point in my life and go to THIS EXACT RESTAURANT
You're right, if you had the best sushi, others will probs be shit. I mean look at those works of art damn.
I was watching knives just a moment ago and here I am at the sushi section.
Were in that part of youtube again.
same i was looking at a spyderco knife from the late boy scout!
lol every time the music came on with simon's reaction i laughed
ProdSpecz uhm okay..i never said he was annoying. I just thought his reaction was funny. Chill bro.
Aya Shin Hello, I know where you live...muahahaha
Ryan Shin dude i genuinely was scared for like 2 seconds lol
Gude Moon
Oh my god, I've been watching this over and over again for days. Me and my friend just made a reservation in July. I'm so excited!
Why so many dislikes? What the hell?
+Alysscka It's because I think that is not the best sushi in Japan, I think the owner of that restaurant has a father that actually does top notch 3 star kind of things.
+Cloa P. Sounds like it was pretty amazing to them, like, died and gone to heaven amazing. I think the dislikes are because they didn't say what all the items were, also, because some people are just dicks and click dislike just to be jerks.
+Alysscka because smelling the food before you eat is very unpolite against the cook in japan.
BboyMikazz According to whom?
+HanyouxFromxHell lolol
what the fuck was that little thing on the screen?
je co A burnt out pixel on the iPhone :(
the food looks good tho!
i tried to scratch it off my screen lol....its so annoying
i think its called SUSHI. it like uncooked fish or something O.O
Ateeq Khan haha,me too XD
tho the sushi looks so good to distract me from it
This is literally food porn. 3am in the morning, i opened my fridge. its empty!! ;_;
My heart is also empty
I've loved sushi since I was 3 and it would be a huge addition to my bucket list to eat at this place. What is it name
It looks really good, I love sushi...
i am just sitting here drooling
i dont even like sushi, but dam u guys make me wana try some again...food that makes u cry of joy?? i need that in my life xD
I like the informercial-style head-nods that we get at times. No comments, just the nod that says "I approve of this."
THERE IS A WEIRD BLACK DOT ON YPUR CAMERA SCREEN THAT IS ANNOYING THE SHIT OUT OF ME
+Arthur Yan I'm sorry! It was a dead pixel! Our new camera has that fixed!
+Simon and Martina i love how u talk back to hate comments
+Arthur Yan GOD DAMN IT WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TELL ME THIS? I CAN´T UNSEE THAT NOW
+Arthur Yan i saw that too...was going to comment...but then i saw ur comment...
***** even simon/martina know it's there..so maybe the issue is wid u :D
Smelling your food actually adds to the experience. It prepares the palate for what's to come. I thought that was just common food knowledge.
they are just two annyoing people trying to be cool way too hard..vulgar they are!
i cringed everytime she nosed it.... thats a disrespect to the chef...whats ur problem?
how much did that cost?
says 20000 to 30000 yen ($200-300)
Sponge bob why do you want to know you and your friends are fish besides sandy.
Their blog says they ate around 500$ worth of sushi, if you still care 5 months later :P
I need to go to this restaurant!
I'm a vegan here in Australia, but whenever I go to Japan I put that part of my lifestyle aside and go nuts on sushi. It.Is.Amazing.
