Simon and Martina That sounds awesome! If this is gonna happen I'll definitely get it asap. I'm in college right now and I have to say watching your videos make my day every time! Your positive attitude helps me go through hard times as well!
Simon: "This is my best dream. You shut it, you." Martina: "How long have you been in overseas? YOUR ENGLISH SO SUCK!" I love this conversation so much it is the very reason I watch this video over and over again. 😂😂😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤
I've seen this video so much since the day it was put up, and I don't care. I could watch all of Simon and Martina's videos back-to-back, regardless of if I've never seen them or if I've seen them a million times :P. I love your videos, Simon and Martina!!
Had one of the worst days with my anxiety, then saw this and felt better enough to giggle a little. Thanks Simon and Martina...you guys really make a difference. Keep being awesome :)
TO RI KIIIIIII! I miss Japan so much. I have gotten pretty emotional watching your videos. I was an eikaiwa teacher for a year and now I'm just sitting in Indiana crying over videos of torikizoku.
Hi Martina! I want to say thank you, and to let you know that your being open about your struggle with EDS is helping me. I'm not sure what I have, but I've been dealing with some joint issues for the past few years, but they have gotten way worse in the past 6 moths. My joints don't dislocate all the way, but they come out part of the way sometimes, or I'll feel bones turn in directions they shouldn't, and on days like today, all of my major joints are taking turns aching. Today I didn't participate in something because my shoulders were hurting badly. Later I attempted (badly) to play badminton for about 30 seconds, and someone called me out for "lying" about my shoulders as an excuse. I think I would have been a lot more upset if I hadn't heard your stories about dealing with a hidden illness. Not sure if you'll see my comment (I hope you do!) but I want you to know how thankful I am, as a fellow daily-joint-pain-sufferer. :D
Huy Hua I am not 100% sure if it's the same because I have never actually tried them, but UA-camr Maangchi makes spicy cucumbers on her channel 😊 Go check it out maybe???
Torikizoku is literally my favorite izakaya in Japan. They're one of the few places that offers an all you can eat/drink (if you're in a large enough group) just be careful with it because they require you to have certain food items before you order your own, and they can be...a bit intimidating. That being said, it's always a fun atmosphere~ (And if you want noisy places outside, just come to Kansai~ I mean *ahem* what?)
Love your videos; been watching for around 4 years now and still can't wait to see each new video you guys make! I know this one is older but had to watch it for the hundredth time.
I stumbled on this video while watching the newest video "A Day in My Life: Tokyo, Japan" and I had to yell for my boyfriend from the bedroom, because I was so excited to see you two at a place that we had gone to in Tokyo. I don't know how I missed this video in my Japan planning UA-cam binge watching, but seeing this video gave us a moment of "Omg We've been there! Awwww I miss Japan! How cool!" We went to the one on the 6th floor across from the Don Quiote over on Godzilla street (I think) in Shinjuku. It was loud, smoky, lively and had giant mugs of beer! I would totally recommend any one visiting Japan should try this place.
I actually missed this sort of content from Simon and Martina. It must've taken so long to edit it all together. I know they have a lot of antis, but I'm actually glad to see they're enjoying life and living their dream in Japan and doing what they love.
THIS MAKES ME SOOOO HUNGRY!! Thanks for uploading this Simon and Martina! I'm going to Japan in December this year and will definitely check this place out!!!! Love you both!
So you guys have been a huge influence in my decision to surprise my mum and grandmother with a trip to japan when i go to taiwan later this summer! Thank you for making food vlogging AMAZING
have to say, I've been watching all your videos for awhile. I can tell you guys are genuinely happy to be together and it's like you're having an adventure of a lifetime. It's inspiring because I hope that one day I can travel the world with someone special the way you guys do too :)
They do trust Japanese food, or they wouldn't have gone to the restaurant. They just moved from Korea, and Japanese kimchi is bound to taste different than the kimchi they're accustomed to. I don't think they have anything against Japanese kimchi. :)
+no more updates for a while lol so you would trust american japanese food? You would trust british chinese food? Would i trust japanese italian food? Get over yourself
Oh my! This brought back so many memories! I ate there so much when I studied abroad, then when I moved to Japan with my husband it was one of the first places I took him to. Love it!
hello Simon and Martina ... I love you two alot.. without further do I have a question.. as a Muslim we have a specific "rules" when it comes to eating.. for example we don't eat pork and we eat beef and chicken if it's slaughtered (I don't know if it's the right word) never mind my question is: are there any halal food stores in Tokyo?
I think that halal food would be hard, but not impossible to come by. It's probably easier than some places just because japanese food focuses so much on fish rather than pork or beef
I'm VERY late in replying but there is a Muslim channel called HALAL MEDIA JAPAN. They post videos of places to eat in Japan, as well as other helpful tips.
Can you make a video trying vegan food in Japan? I know there's a lot more vegan restaurants and options in Japan compared to Korea but it would be cool :)
Moana I already watch her, and Sharmander is also Vegan. But it would be fun to also see what the cost of vegan foods there is, like for example, fruit? Fruit in Korea seemed to be expensive, but are there farmers markets that sells fruit, roots, grains, and veggies at a decent price? That's what the majority of vegans live off of.
Thank you for describing some of the vegetarian foods! I'm so jealous of that mochi and cheese and seaweed thing Simon had. It looks like something I could eat all day every day!
+Simon and Martina Oh God I loved FF7 as well! FFX was my first owned FF game, so I love that one a lot. The blitzball was fun, and finding all the special aeons was great too! I'm so happy you responded to me, thank you for being so awesome and making all of us who watch feel like we are all best friends. I'm a newly formed Nasty (blasting through your videos in the past 2 months), but I will be loyal to the end! ^.^
+Simon and Martina omg I totally agree. final fantasy x was great. some guy told me the other day that final fantasy viiii (um.. 9) was better and I almost punched him. Don't dis the ffx
Watching your adventures is cathartic. It almost makes me miss the year I lived in South Korea... almost ( I was away from my wife on military duty at Taegu AB)
There's this constant clicking in the background for parts of this which had me so confused looking for which electronic in my room was making it hahaha
Well in Simon's defense. "It pounds my heart" is the equivalent to "doki doki" which means the pounding sound the heart makes because you really like something.
Not sure if you guys know or not, but Onion Salad is also very popular in Japan as well! really simple, get some sweet onions, cover in bonito flakes, add soy sauce and done!
Muqeet Saeed theres a application called somthing like ( japan muslim association) ...you can downlaod it & it will guide you to all halal restaurants in japan 😁
omg it's so weird seeing my fav youtubers eating at my workplace lmaooooo but i gotta admit they have great food right there! anyway it's now 298yen each (excl. tax)
You make my life better, like seriously. I'm going through a lot of hardships right now but watching you just keeps me motivated to overcome my problems to be able to travel and experience life like you two do! Lots of love for the two of you
Martina looks so happy with her life now tho. I think it was Simon's idea to move back to Canada and stop the videos and Martina went ahead with it, then realized she is a content creator and loves Japan. So she moved back and is back to creating awesome content. Simon... I feel is having a mid life crisis. The guy looks like life has drained out of him and he own channel is just...weird.

I really love these videos of you going to local cheap places! Also, I love how into your experiences you both are, it's adorable and really inspiring!
I'm hoping we can get back to them once we're more comfortable with understanding Japan. We're still pretty new here, and don't really feel comfortable talking about it as a whole, you know?
I'm around my family bored to death and saw that u guys posted a video and screamed a little. U guys saved me from boredom but my family now thinks I'm mentally challenged. Greetings from Canada:)
She said "this is the kind of thing you'd want to order as soon as you get in" meaning as soon as you are seated because the dish takes a while to cook
He had parvo because of an irresponsible breeder, we made sure to get a refund and that they are reported to the RSPCA as they had hardly any interest and other people had problems with the same pups. RIP Django the Schnoodle :(
By the way, Martina randomly chiming in with "If you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" followed by the wedding music is my new favorite show. ;-)

Why don't you guys write a travel book for Korea and Japan? I really love you guys and I really want to see your adventure!
We've been thinking about it for a long time. Hopefully we can get something together soon, one day.
Simon and Martina That sounds awesome! If this is gonna happen I'll definitely get it asap. I'm in college right now and I have to say watching your videos make my day every time! Your positive attitude helps me go through hard times as well!
Simon: "This is my best dream. You shut it, you."

I love this conversation so much it is the very reason I watch this video over and over again. 😂😂😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤
Ahaha ha when you make fun of Simon "if you love it so much, Why don't you marry it?" And it backfires. Love you two.
Someone made Indonesian subtitles, but I can't see who made them. Thank you, whoever you are!
$30 per person for all that food and drinks is a great deal ... definitely will look this chain up when I get to Japan!
+James Shannon I'm glad! I hope you have a great time there :D
Is that in CAD or USD?
@@athalia3661 It was 6000 yen, so around 60 usd.
The English subtitles at 4:22
OMG finally a break from typing!
Thank you for the laugh, subtitler :)
I've seen this video so much since the day it was put up, and I don't care. I could watch all of Simon and Martina's videos back-to-back, regardless of if I've never seen them or if I've seen them a million times :P. I love your videos, Simon and Martina!!

TO RI KIIIIIII! I miss Japan so much. I have gotten pretty emotional watching your videos. I was an eikaiwa teacher for a year and now I'm just sitting in Indiana crying over videos of torikizoku.

Can you make a video trying vegan food in Japan? I know there's a lot more vegan restaurants and options in Japan compared to Korea but it would be cool :)
agree! would be fun to see
Go watch Vegans in Japan for that. Taylor R is the only one I know, I'm sure you can find some places from her.
Why not ask the vegans to do that kind of vlogs? S&M are not vegan. Stop pushing them into going vegan. Geez.
You don't have to be vegan to try vegan food. it's just a suggestion. they have a wide audience who follow various diets.
Thank you for describing some of the vegetarian foods! I'm so jealous of that mochi and cheese and seaweed thing Simon had. It looks like something I could eat all day every day!
Really stayed up late for this. No regrets!!!!!!!!
+Hazel Steffi and now go to sleep. Good night!
+Simon and Martina OH MY GOSH YOU REPLIED!! NOW I CAN GO TO SLEEP IN PEACE LOL LOTS OF LOVE SIMON AND MARTINA AND SPUDGY AND MEEMERS 💜💜💜

oooooeeyyy goooeyyy egg... gotta get me to japan.
I love how happy food makes you guys. I feel like there aren't as many places like this in America because they are mostly just chain restaurants.
+Leah1098 this is a chain restaurant as well :)
lol how many times did simon say this is his most favorite dish on the menu
I love your restaurant videos! And these are places I could go to. Thank you!
There's this constant clicking in the background for parts of this which had me so confused looking for which electronic in my room was making it hahaha
Aaaand now I can't unhear it. Thanks, fam :')
it's the background son
I just did the same thing!
I love the little shine marks on Simon's star and moon shirt at around 7min! It's so cool looking! Nice video, you guys. ^_^
MARTINA! Have you seen the ice skating performance by Evgenia of Russia? She danced to Sailor Moon music in a Sailor Moon costume! ^o^
You guys are so funny... Keep on enjoying Japan and stimulating our taste buds.
Please do something about halal and/or vegetarian
Muqeet Saeed theres a application called somthing like ( japan muslim association) ...you can downlaod it & it will guide you to all halal restaurants in japan 😁

+Simon and Martina das the life 😂
You make my life better, like seriously. I'm going through a lot of hardships right now but watching you just keeps me motivated to overcome my problems to be able to travel and experience life like you two do! Lots of love for the two of you

my new goal in life : go to Korea and Japan and eat my weight in amazing food !!
I'm going to Japan this Saturday. Definitely checking this place out :D
Breaks my heart to know they divorced
Martina looks so happy with her life now tho. I think it was Simon's idea to move back to Canada and stop the videos and Martina went ahead with it, then realized she is a content creator and loves Japan. So she moved back and is back to creating awesome content.
Simon... I feel is having a mid life crisis. The guy looks like life has drained out of him and he own channel is just...weird.
It is not fun to be a student living alone and watching your videos!! Sooooo hungry and drooling!! This looks amazing!! I hope I can go to Japan one day and just eat until I explode! :D
Its 1.30am in australia.... and i think i'm hungry now.... please send help. Haha

Here, have some bacon
Thanks for always showing us delicious food. I want to eat it all. I love you guys :)
I wish they'd tried the Japanese kimchi and told us how it was. Who knows, they might have liked it.
We didn't have it at this restaurant but we had it at a few others and while it tastes okay, it is too sweet for our "Korean" taste! ;P
+Simon and Martina
Ha! That's funny. Thanks for letting us know. 🤗
You guys be putting out videos like it's Christmas damn
60$ wowwwww....i came to Japanese restaurant in US yeasterday and i paid 58$ for only 1 dish sushi and 1 bow beef rice :'(
dear lord.... simon and martina... lm watching this in the middle of the night... have mercy...
on another note, totally love it that fapfap is back!!!!
why is it so cheap
280yen per plate isnt really that cheap though
Oh per plate i thought for the whole meal lok
+Ang Weilun their whole meal was around $60
We have many Japanese style Izakaya in NYC now, and it definitely costs more than double if you eat & drink as much as they did at Torikizoku.
Is quite cheap tho, maybe not so much for the yakitori, but for the other meals and drinks it's quite cheap. Izakayas with cheap drinks usually charge more for food.
I really love these videos of you going to local cheap places! Also, I love how into your experiences you both are, it's adorable and really inspiring!
When are you guys going to take us on a Pokémon GO adventure with you?! xD
It's not in Japan yet, I don't think.
+SakuyaLuigi it came out in Japan and Australia on July 5th.
nop didn't, it was delayed TT
+SakuyaLuigi it is Japanese they had it first
IN Ö it was delayed because of problems
Just binge watching you guys and a new video just came out!! love you guys lots💕💕
not hating, but the egg is a little overcooked for an onsen egg. the yolk is supposed to be runny.
That's not an onsen egg though. Just a soft boiled one. Check out ajitsuke tamago.
you are right. still, that egg in the video is still overcooked for an ajitsuke tamago.
Oh come on, don't criticize over such a little thing /)_=;
I've asked before but how is Simon's skin so amazing. Need that skin care routine!
Why don't I live in japan
+Clíodhna you should come it's great!

These two are legit the only youtubers I am actually envious of. AHHHHHHHH!
You guys should do TLDRs! I've alway loved watching them, so I eagerly await the next one :) Btw this video makes me sooo hungry ;-;

Simon did you finally find a good gym? You look like you've lost weight.
+Shealio1 no, haven't found one, but I started building one for my backyard!

You guys crack me up !!! The way you put your video together is sooooo amazing and fun !!! Keep up the good work !!! 💚👍💝
7:42 I was confused for a moment when Martina said "this is kind of thing you'd order as soon as you get it" hahahaha
She said "this is the kind of thing you'd want to order as soon as you get in" meaning as soon as you are seated because the dish takes a while to cook
My baby puppy just had to be put down he was only 9 weeks old, you guys make me feel better when I watch your video, thankyou.
What.. Why?! :(
He had parvo because of an irresponsible breeder, we made sure to get a refund and that they are reported to the RSPCA as they had hardly any interest and other people had problems with the same pups. RIP Django the Schnoodle :(
I've missed these 💕💕
Oh my gaawd I'm salivating. I'll have to add this to the "must-do-when-finally-in-japan-some-beautiful-day"-list.
It's 4:31am in the UK and I'm so hungry after watching this. Why do I do it 😂😂😂
By the way, Martina randomly chiming in with "If you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" followed by the wedding music is my new favorite show. ;-)
