Day 1: Benjamin woke this morning in a panicked state.; not unusual for him. He was a loser - no skills, no bonuses everything frightened him, overall just the worst of humanity. He lost his job at the factory a few weeks ago due to sleeping on the job (it was the one place he felt remotely comfortable) and was crashing at his friends house, drowning his sorrowful existence using anything he could get his hands on. He went to the kitchen, nearly naked, to get a pack of smokes. He shut the blinds and watched a cooking channel, which was somewhat weird for him. Really liking this series. You actually made me pick this game back up again :D I decided to make a somewhat negative character and start in westpoint. I did take a few positive traits to balance things out and I have gotten insanely lucky with car finds so far.
The heart beat during the whole video made me feel like I was having earphones way too deep in my ear... I've really felt my ears pulsing from the blood.
Hey man. I’ve been watching some of your stuff for a while now, and it’s great! I like your content. You seem like a guy who will take on challenges in this game. Well, I have two separate challenges for you! 1. Create a functional society of survivors with strong defenses. Then go rogue and wipe them out. 2. Id like to actually learn how to do trapping and foraging from your videos. Can you scratch out a survival in the cabin with the well using as little stuff from civilization as possible to make it? Thanks man! I love your videos! Keep it up!
Thanks Henning! Really appreciate he kindness and support! #1 is def in the cards for a future series, and #2 could potentially work! I believe there used to be a better set of tutorials from another creator, but I think he deleted them, so it might be time soon to create a comprehensive guide. Would that work?
@@ambiguousamphibian My man! Thanks for your reply, I apprectiate it so much when content creators interact with the fanbase. Your videos definitely make my day to day more relaxed! :) I'd love to see both a guide, with concrete steps and 'how to's' but also a longer play video in the half hour range where you just scratch it out with the optimal trapping setup for both your characters abilities and traits, but also show item management and optimalization of gear and kind of a 'spartan', 'society went to hell and we were not ready' kind of minimalist surviving. What do you think? Going full lumber jack, flanel shirt, beard, beanie and all? :)
Restless sleeper plus sleepyhead is probably one of the worst, but the two phobias together is also right up there with it. However, emaciated would be harder than obese because it involves having to find food to bring up your weight, which will be extra-hard when you have increased hunger. As obese you can lose weight by doing nothing, finding less food, and I think increased hunger makes it even easier to lose the weight (? maybe not).
Sound analysis! Definitely a fair assessment. I chose obese because it made fence hopping and escaping the initial town more difficult, though now that you mention it, emaciated could be really fun for a different kind of challenge

I don't even know if I like the video yet, but thumbs up purely for including a playlist link in description.
Haha, thanks! I'm glad you use the descriptions, and I hope you enjoyed the vid too!
@@ambiguousamphibian Yes very much so! tempted to try the game even.
After watching a plethora of later episodes I came back to watch the birth of worm man.
I love the highly experimental and atmospheric soundtrack this video had throughout. A fast and stressed heartbeat.
“All negative traits”
I find this as a personal attack
Really liking this series. You actually made me pick this game back up again :D I decided to make a somewhat negative character and start in westpoint. I did take a few positive traits to balance things out and I have gotten insanely lucky with car finds so far.
So playing as a character who doesn't even need to meet a single zombie, and i still very likely to die. This will go great!
Haha, indeed - That's definitely the right mental attitude to take on with extreme caution everywhere. Def worth a shot if you get a try!
The heart beat during the whole video made me feel like I was having earphones way too deep in my ear...
I've really felt my ears pulsing from the blood.
eiiii just like my stats in real life how interesting
i legit thought i was having a heart problems cause i had some sugar before watching this with earbuds in. rested a bit when he said it was the game
all thumbs hurts watchability more than anything else you took
Goes inside a house: Screeches uncontrolably
Goes outside: Fuckin dies
30:48 This guys name should be the crippler 😂 he’s to weak to kill the zombies without a weapon so he crippled them instead
Was i the only one feeling he described me EXACTLY when listing all the traits?? I don't even know what game this is, but god damn this guy is good.
I'd love to see both a guide, with concrete steps and 'how to's' but also a longer play video in the half hour range where you just scratch it out with the optimal trapping setup for both your characters abilities and traits, but also show item management and optimalization of gear and kind of a 'spartan', 'society went to hell and we were not ready' kind of minimalist surviving. What do you think? Going full lumber jack, flanel shirt, beard, beanie and all? :)
I kinda miss this kind of videos. this playthrough was epic and I just started rewatching it
Restless sleeper plus sleepyhead is probably one of the worst, but the two phobias together is also right up there with it.
"I'm not dextrous, I'm the opposite of dextrous"
So you're not Ambidextrous, you're Antidextrous!
I'll see myself out
This challenge is absolutely brilliant
Haha, thanks! Glad you enjoy it!
Watching through this great series again. Challenge reccomendation: sprinters+ a very cd day + all negative traits?
Great! Couldn't hear the heart beat in the background until you mentioned it, Thanks I guess! HA!
the fucking heartbeat- i pounded back an energy drink irl, and was freaked out i could HEAR my own damn heartbeat- thank god you mentioned it, i paused and calmed way down when i realized it was just the game
Character in game is like Mort from Family Guy "Oh God there's blood in my mucous!"
Haha! I had thought of Howie from the benchwarmers, but this def works too!
KillerGymSox that negative traits guy is someone you would get if you breed Mort and Chris from family guy with Steve Smith from American dad.
sneaking with pencils and knives instakill backstab would have been the real way to go here
Pacifist is a pretty good negative it dosent ruin you combat ability just the exp, good negative to take on a normal game
There are zombies! *Panik*
I'm inside! *Panik*
I'm outside! *Panik*
*Panik!* *Panik*
It's almost like you're playing as Eugene from TWD.
Haha, ah yes, I could def see this now that you say it
Im trying to listen to this at work but the constant heartbeat sound actually made me start panicking 😂😂 Thats realism right there
I'm interested to see how this character plays long-term, once you scavenge up most of the available alcohol and beta-blockers. Just never sleep again?
I appreciate you using me as a character to play through the game. This gives me a good idea how I will do in case of the apocalypse.
"emaciated and obese" lmao i wonder how that would look if it were possible.
Pot belly, skinny limbs
Well yes but actually no
skinny fat
hearing the rapid heart beat in game actually gives me anxiety irl lol
agent 47 really let himself go
As someone with an anxiety disorder you definitely can sleep while in a panic if your body is tired enough
ooh this seems interesting
This video was so amazing. This scratched an itch i didn't know I had! I love you.
When did this game start using 3D models? I haven't played it in a while, but I remember a lot of the graphics being pre-rendered sprites.
Hi FoxMan! The developers released an experimental version of this new animation build about a month ago. Hope you enjoy it!
Oh, no kidding? That's rad. Good to know!
All nee shit homie you came back in at the best time
Project Zomboid with constant heartbeating - the series.
