The satisfaction of knowing that you have a really good set up for yourself, followed by getting bitten by not noticing how tired you are That's the Project Zomboid experience
My base is of a school. Full of zombies, but I managed to make an upper floor classroom my safe space. I barricaded the only door out into the hallways with furniture. Lots of furniture. I then chose the 2 windows available as my entrances and exits via sheet rope. Luckily, the area i’d climb down into was surrounded by tall chain fencing. Plenty of outside room, possibly for as much farming and water collecting as I’ll need. The school would allow me to collect many many books, and allow my second character (my first got bit) to get a 3x multiplier of everything possible (besides mechanics). This is the exact video that brang me into project zomboid. Thank you amphibian, without you i would never know about such a good game. I own it for 2 years now, and i love it.
honestly, this is why I love the Road. In the movie, whatever the apocolypse actually is is kept vague, but in a flashback we see viggo mortensens character spring to action after watching it all unfold on the news. Whats the first thing he does to prepare for apocolupse? He fills the bathtub and as many buckets as he can with water, while there is still running water. What I mean is, doing something with the resources we have while we sstill have them. Using the internet while its still up and running is probably what we will all be doing.
Ngl my reaction wouldn't be much different. It'd be like this 1. Turn on computer and look up news to see if it's legit 2. Waste an hour contemplating how/why its happening 3. Msg/call my friends and family 4. Remember i absolutely suck at restocking groceries and panic for about 20 mins 5. Bunker down in my basement until the next day then plan out a supply run IF nobody stole my car
@@RollerOfEyes He's speaking of Darkest Dungeon, there is a quote very similar to what he said that plays a lot and it is known for the people that played a lot of DD.
This is actually such a great view into what is possible with the game. It makes me realize that I'm doing like 1% of the possible things....what an amazing in-depth game
I played this game when it was in beta. Had a huge amount of fun naming characters after authors. One session involved a particularly perilous escape from a horde that caused me to exclaim, "Walt Whitman is a zombie-killing machine!" I think I died less than ten minutes later. O Captain, my Captain, lies cold and dead.
Wow there is so much more depth to this game than I imagine, you do more inside one house than I can figure out when I run around the map confused af, I will definitely have dark souls level of hours on this game eventually
these days a living only inside the house means never going through a exit (door / open window, etc) moving up is allowed in staying in your house (not for staying inside but that does not matter in video games)
What I expected: A great zombiod playthrough with ingenious strategies, and thoughtful commentary What I got: A great zombiod playthrough with ingenious strategies, and thoughtful commentary Actually good philosophical questioning of life Abuse of the mechanics Bending those rules like a rubber hose And thats why I love this channel :')
Man! You are great! I've started playing Zomboid because your "from zero to hero" series. I used all the knowledge You gave me and now my record is 85 days and 750 killed zombies! What a great game it is!
Watching the tv before it goes out is great. If you end up missing shows and the tv then goes out, if the power hasn't, you can still go raid book shops and VHS stores. VHS stores have alot of the cooking/carpentry/fishing/etc on tape, so long as the power is back on you can make up for lost levels. Got to level 8 carpentry and cooking by the end of the 2nd week that way
Every morning I break down my house Every night I eliminate those who break in I do not sleep I only watch my television and perfect my defenses I hunger for the day that I am either eliminated by exhaustion or entombed forever within my own house
I wasn't expecting to find comfort and inspiration in the end of a project zomboid video. Life can be hard and Ambiguous actually has a valid point. Also, on the off chance you read this comment I hope you all are okay and have a wonderful day.
Not only did I learn a lot of new tips in this great game, but also learned that everyday is a chance to grow in my own world to grow and learn from each mistake that we all make. life is difficult and I am very happy that we do not have to deal with zombies. Keep up the great work man and I hope you all have a great week!!
Single house games are fun. I've done a few where I've tried to stay in my house for as long as possible. The Day 7 helicopter event is kind of a bitch, but if you can make it through that, you are good.
I keep coming back to this video to listen to the end monologue "keep stretching out our arms, and reaching farther than we did yesterday" eloquent and inspiring
This is how I would survive in a zombie apocalypse as the last survivor. If I woke up tomorrow morning and every single person in the world was a zombie and I was the only one left on unaffected, the first thing I would do because I know power is at least gonna last one maybe two months, I would go straight to my mom‘s house after suiting up first and then after getting rid of my mom and my stepdad I would move everything essential from my house to their house except several canned items like green beans and corn and other stuff like that just in case I needed to come back and I needed food, after doing that I would slowly start two clear out the house is on my mom‘s street and leave any food like bread and anything perishable, so no already sitting fruits and vegetables and other stuff, After clearing the street I would walking make my way down the next street and do that until every single house was cleared of zombies, I would then take my car down to the gas station and with my mom’s card I would fill up my car if necessary but if not then just clear out The gas station area and then move my way to the stores clearing those out and then going towards the hardware store and clearing that out and then getting all of the gas cans that I can fit in my trunk and in my car and go back up to the gas station And with my Moms card I would fill up all of the gas cans with gas and them take them back up to my mom’s house and then come back to that same hardware store and grab all of machetes and stuff like that, as well as all of the Little propane tanks as well as the big ones and put as much as I can in my car and then go next to the hardware store and after several minutes of learning how to use the thing I will fill up the propane tanks, I don’t need to fill up the little ones because they are already are filled, I will then grab all of the actual pellets that are used for hunting and grab any of the pellet guns because they are much quieter than an actual gun, I will then take everything back to my mom‘s house and probably take a few hours but I will sort everything and make sure if necessary I’ll be able to grab something quickly, so I don’t go insane obviously I will go down to the library on the way take out any zombies and then go to the library and get books on agriculture and farming and solar panels and the battery systems and everything, because I’m only 26 I’ll grab a shit ton of comic books and then some actual like series of books like wings of fire and those kind, Then after I’m done I will take all of that back up to my mom’s house and but before I leave be sure to take any books on Bow building and how to make arrows because I noticed animals were unaffected and yeah, if I have to I will eat dogs and cats but that will be a last resort, then over the months the power goes out obviously but I’ve prepared for this and I already have a solar panel set up and I have read how to set it up and what not so I’m good on power but even still I only use it when I have to, I have garden set ups lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and I even set up a chicken coop and yeah, every single night before I go to sleep for about 1 to 2 hours I write in my journal that I have been doing ever since the first night and by now many years later I have filled multiple composition notebooks with how many exploring the entire island that I live on and clearing out all of the zombies and now me and my 40s, I’m just gonna keep on living until I eventually either die from old age or I decide to leave, I taught myself how to draw and I can draw a really really nice sunsets and everything, The gas that I had in the beginning of course has now gone bad but a few of the books that I got from the library in the beginning taught me how to make fuel so that’s what I’m using and of course I learned how to fix my own car by reading books and what not but yeah, now that I am in my 70s I think it’s time that I leave, so I write my last journal entry and placed it on its stack of several dozen other filled notebooks And I pull out my freedom and pull The trigger. That’s how I would survive if I was the only person unaffected in a zombie apocalypse. I would love for people to comment and tell me how they would survive if they were the only one left or even if they weren’t the only one left and they were just one of the survivors, please do.

I'm just stuck rewatching all of your videos on Project Zomboid since you stopped making them.. Even when I myself begin to stream PZ, I catch myself accidentally reciting a line from one of your videos... When I tried the CDDA challenge, I basically just said everything you said in your CDDA series. But no matter, this will never get boring to me. You are a big inspiration to me :)

I don't know how you manage to naturally flow into a positive life-message in seemingly every zomboid video, but man is it captivating. Cheers!
That's a genuine life skill, and a very rare one at that.
This is the exact video that brang me into project zomboid. Thank you amphibian, without you i would never know about such a good game. I own it for 2 years now, and i love it.
Is time travel a thing cause I want in on this.
Honey, a zombie appocalypse is beginning, what do we do!?
Dad: quick! turn on Food Network and ill grab the upstairs curtains and a couple books!!!
honestly, this is why I love the Road.
It'd be like this
1. Turn on computer and look up news to see if it's legit
2. Waste an hour contemplating how/why its happening
3. Msg/call my friends and family
4. Remember i absolutely suck at restocking groceries and panic for about 20 mins
5. Bunker down in my basement until the next day then plan out a supply run IF nobody stole my car

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by beta? Game's still in early access and betas are available to play all the time.

There is actually a term for fighting enemies in the nude.

Got to level 8 carpentry and cooking by the end of the 2nd week that way
Finally, you’re back to Zomboid! I love your runs of this game.

Why haven’t I stopped snickering about this
This is how I would survive in a zombie apocalypse as the last survivor.
Didn’t read but +1 for the effort
