To anyone wondering, this is a NEW All-Passion, No Skill Rimworld colony. Did one a few years ago, but I was much worse at the game then. I am PERFECT now.
Comment if you enjoy this compiled format - it's tricky to still release whole series on UA-cam nowadays, so if I do more of these, I'm continuing to plan to do them as one big MEGA video each. Planning on doing it with new ones since everyone seemed to enjoy the old ones, and it was fun putting them all together :)
could we get the seed/starting location for this one? having a crater seems like a great place to test crazy ideas in a more defensible spot
@@josephs2581 I think there are mods for this feature. There is also a mod to search for features like this, I cannot remember the name of the mods for the life of me...

I like to think the time Blaze took to recruit Russo was less Blaze slowly breaking down his will to leave and more Russo teaching Blaze to speak in more than grunts like Tarzan.
Russo watching Blaze go from 'cn i eat ti's wee little bit' to understanding the inner workings of all the complex electronics and mishaps the world had to offer and then thus had to leave for the stars

And not only his dogs, he then applied it to his kids.. and for some reason psychologist didn't object and thought "yeah two kids is a good enough sample size" and made a whole psychology branch for it.
That was a pretty Pavlovian response to hearing that mistake

Oh, nice to see you are doing a bit of the longer videos again - currently in the process of visiting our old cannib-..friend orange in the ice colony series a few years back. I'll be back to watch this in a few weeks again xD

Orange is the true main character of RimWorld.
Good to see another Rimworld vid, but not just that, a return to one of the series you made that got me into it. Two big influences for me were the journey's of Rock Lee and Orange.

i just love watching a 2+ hour of someone playing rimworld it’s just so entertaining even if i usually fall asleep during mid video but i still watch the rest afterwards

fun fact about 33:00 - Consciousness is a stat which, if it drops the zero, causes the pawn to die, so: the act of smoking itself can kill in Rimworld :D
about losing fingers and toes well no armor in vanilla actually covers the hands or feet so those often get blown off due to their low hp and no protection.

Absolutely adore seeing the longer form 'series' content again. I understand new YT requires 2 hour videos instead of multiple 20 minute chunks, but I don't mind.
It is so satisfying to see the journey from beginning to end. While the story telling is usually high quality, the shorter videos often leave me with a desire for more.
The rimworld sea ice is one of my favorite series I ever watched with how well you were able to narrativize it, and this is a fantastic sequel to the OG passion man.
Yes always love more Rimworld content. I would love to see a redo of the 100 colonist challenge

I enjoy this! No overediting or memey sound effects, just AA and the game. These Rimworld challenges were always some of my favorite things on this channel.
You know, after getting stuck on an ice sheet, unearthing yourself from a meteor field, the cpu melting ant farm colony and more!...
It feels so weird that this managed to turn into one of the most "normal" bits of Rimworld I've seen in a long time! And those arent exaclty words you ever expect to hear about this game!

i play rimworld a lot but usually stop after a certain amount of time, then gaming gods like yourself play it and i go "huh.. forgot i owned that" and bring my addiction back to fruit. I love rimworld and love even more when a specific amphibian plays it so i will now play rimworld

Great vid! As someone who plays with over 300 mods installed and the anomaly expansion, though, I find it a bit boring that the game would keep sending AA the same psych supressor mechanoids event over and over again.
How did you get such an amazing map spawn? Looks like a circular cutout surrounded by mountain with one attack route! I feel there's more than a few mods you got there lol

10:49 - Here's a series idea for you, take it or leave it (I'd watch the heck out of it):
-3 colonists only, the whole way through the game.
-All 3 colonists are the same as the one you have in this playthrough, all passions and zero skills.
-Goal is to get off the planet/survive 100 days?
-If a colonists dies, it dies. No replacements.
I love these rimworld videos that you do, this one was really comfy to watch. When it comes to melee with your pawns you should have them grab a single log and they will do more damage compared to their unarmed damage.

watching AA bake a bunch of bugs as they frantically try to escape, I honestly don't know how to feel about it.
I might try a "0 skill, all passion single colonist, only slaves and guests alowed" run
The second you get another colonist, the game becomes a regular run, maybe to focus more on the single leader would provide an interesting narrative

I feel like "Great memory" would have been an amazing trait as well. Reducing the skill decay when you have so many skills to juggle would be seriously helpful.

Never understood why the powered armors don't cover the hands and feet. They're literally walking around barefoot in their walking-tank armor. Thought it would get patched one day, but clearly it must be part of the dev's vision if its stuck around this long

Regarding the roof thing at the start - so long as there's some sort of support around you can just go into the zoning tools and manually place a build-roof-area to cover stuff that isn't fully enclosed by walls. Just don't put it too far from said supports...

1:53:29 - Rimworld Armor doesn’t cover the feet or the hands… for some reason. when i realized that for myself, I immediately went to mod it out because it’s just kinda stupid. :/
If you really dislike royalty quest, you can disable empire quest in quest menu
