@@AlLunacyQing First tri tip on the books! Your tips were key - now looking for a cleaning video that follows the manufacturers instructions (I'm lazy like that) :)
@@glendmd666 Great to hear - that's awesome! Currently working on the 6 month review. Cleaning video may be later down the line. Cheers!
Great video Al!!!
Thanks Mike! I'm sure your Sunday cook turn out excellent! Will be waiting for the video!🤘
@@AlLunacyQing It wasn't too bad, everbody loved em, but I'm just not the biggest fan of baby back ribs lol
Great video Al! You're the main reason I decided to buy a woodwind pro 24.
Wow. Thanks! Well I'm sure you're enjoying it bud! It's a great smoker. What pellets are you running?
@@AlLunacyQing I ran a Thanksgiving turkey smoke using cherry pellets and cherry wood chunks
Spit that knowledge bruh lol cheers Al 🍻
Cheers buddy! 🍻
I have a Broil King propane smoker now and wanted to add on a pellet smoker. After many smoker reviews on all kinds I was getting more and more confused on witch one to go with. This video convinced me to order the Wood Wind Pro. Thanks for your tips!
Thanks Ted for commenting and letting me know! Hopefully someday with more comments like this I can get some kind of sponsorship! Cheers bud!
Nice video my man!
Appreciate it Luis! Enjoy your weekend!
Good tips.
Thanks Big Lou!
@@AlLunacyQing, just did my very first brisket ever. The bark at 225 was amazing. I did over cook it. It was a little dry. My fault. I should have pulled it at 195 not 203. It didn't poke soft in the flat at 195, but it did in the point. Lesson learned. Next time I'll pull it and let the time it rest in the cooler finish up the flat. But the flat did make for good stew.😊 nothing goes to waste. Thanks again for your videos. They help us newbies out.
@@62dobie Good to hear! That's excellent!
Looking forward to the biscuit test
Should be in a couple of weeks! Thanks!
I like it! If I didn't have a wife,...I would buy it tomorrow! Great tips!
Thanks buddy!
Happy day......Gipe
Do you prefer fat side up or down on your briskets in the woodwind pro?
Fat side down on the second rack with a water pan and fat trimmings directly under the brisket.
Furrrst, y'aaaalllll!!! haha! =)
That was fast! Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!
was wondering- how do you know when to refill the smoke box and whether to refill with larger wood chunks or smaller wood chips would give more smoke flavor? Also does cooking with the valve open give more smoke flavor, or closed? Thanks!
Closing the valve after it begins smoking will make your wood chunks last longer. Depending on what temp your running will determine how long your chunks will last but average 30-45 mins.
@@AlLunacyQing thanks! any thoughts on wood chunks vs chips?
@@KevinTguitar yes. Chips aren't going to last you too long. You're better off with chunks. Apple for chicken and pork, post oak for beef.
Are you sponsored by camp chef
No Mike. I'm too small of a channel. I even reached out to them and they just ignored my email. Lol! 😐🤷♂️ No biggie tho - I'm still having fun! Cheers!
