Great video! How does the Woodwind Pro compare to the Weber Searwood? Looking to buy one or the other, both look like they are great grills but with different features.
I have a WoodWind 24 that I’ve had since 2019 and my original SideKick sear box is worn out. Looking to replace it with the new Sear Box. But I’d like to inquire about how it handles grease drippings as it applies to grease fires.
The new sear box has a cast iron grate that is removable, and then under that is basically a "V" shaped layer of metal for grease collection(to protect propane burner), however it is welded together and not removeable, so it makes it harder to clean. I personally prefer the griddle over the sear box, same functionality and easier to clean.
Smokin Brothers frame is welded together, Camp Chef is a screw together frame. Smokin Brothers uses 12 gauge steel and is insulated on the lower half, Camp Chef is single walled, with the exception of the lid which is double walled. I would say SB is probably more efficient, but the other features of the Camp Chef like the smoke box and sidekick are certainly selling features.
It’s just too sad, that the Pro is not yet available in Germany/Europe!😢

Hard to say exactly as I haven't cooked on a Searwood, but I'd assume they're going to be somewhat similar.

Is the smoke box the same size on both or is the smoke box bigger on the bigger smoker?
Same Size
How does it stack up to the Smokin Brothers Premier grills?

Can we get a similar look at the Apex. Really searching for expert analysis as they are hard to find.
Yep! Workin on it!
They need to put two handles, one on either side of center so you can fill the smoke box without interference.
I’ve learned to just take the whole box out of the grill…but if you do that mid cook just remember it’s hot!!
No rotisserie?
They do not offer a rotisserie option yet for the Woodwind Pro.
No.
But they offer a pizza oven attachment 😅😅
