Rainbow stripes? Nothing makes my inner 80's kid squeee more than a grown up version of rainbows. 🥰 This is what I love about your tutorials. You take a basic tutorial and then you take it up a notch giving us a springboard of ideas and lovely inspiration. 🥰 Thank you so much for sharing. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
The way you make us connect with your work...is more than the clay and your brilliant ideas..your thoughts and the occassional singing...love you lots Donna
Dang, added more yellow like a BOSS. I had no Idea it was possible to color correct a rainbow Skinner blend like that! Also, it's great to see that someone else bedsides me also makes sound effects as part of length descriptions, lol! 6:45
I LOVE this cane, thank you. I find it amazing at how the transformation occurs... all by adding white to the skinner blend... takes it to 3 dimensional. It is all a pleasure to look at.
Thank you so much for going through the Skinner blend process from start to finish. I know many artists will just say, “see the link below for instructions on skinner blending”, but it was so nice to see the way you do it, and especially the addition of the extra yellow, which I had never seen before. That was extremely helpful! This is a beautiful cane, and I want very much to try doing this.
OMGosh! I love your videos. I just found you today and it's so relaxing to listen to you explain how you make your projects. I find your sense of humor to be delightful! Thank you for making this look so simple. I can't wait to try out some of your ideas. 😁
So much still to learn while stickking to the basics! Wrapping bead core in white, layering original color blend with its pastel mate for that incredible depth, oval vs round jumprings, etc. Wow! I am such a huge fan of yours, Donna ... so very grateful!😊 Happy Sunday!
Your videos-in addition to being beautiful-are such a wealth of information! All the color tweeking was awesome information with so many applications! I love these rainbow swirls! Thank you D!!!
Thanks , I didn't know that about jump rings!! I have never seen them, i live in the Italian countryside,i'll look out for them when I go into town. I will have a go at this tomorrow.❤ Thanks
Wow so so beautiful! Thank you for sharing this and all your other creative amazing work/ tutorials. Side note, has anyone told you that you sound like Meryl Streep😊? You have such a lovely voice, it's really relaxing to listen to during your tutorials.
I really like watching you work through the minor problems, like the yellow not yellowing well enough😂 That's a situation I would have just continued and been unhappy with the result or simply accepted flaw as being good enough. Never would have thought to just... Add more yellow
I absolutely love this tutorial. I have a little problem getting all the steps properly in a roll. So I took the plunge the other day. My skinner blend was looking perfect so I started rolling and forming the plug. Only problem the yellow seemed firmer that the blue and magenta making an hour glass form. All three colors are Fimo. Going to give it another try.
Okay, next time, soften the Yellow. I believe m Conditioning Bar works or you can use liquid which I find messssy. Anyway, softer yellow will help. Hugs, D
This is beautiful! I love rainbow! I found a channel called Clay Zoo who made what they called a Paradox cane. It's one of the coolest canes I've ever seen, but they don't speak during the tutorial. I'd love to see your take on it!
This was amazing to watch. So simple but absolutely beautiful. I just want to confirm this was Kato polymer clay. I noticed the turquoise was different to Sculpey.
Wow Donna, this is so beautiful ❤ I'm a UK newbie and am loving your videos. Thank you for sharing your expertise and sparking our creativity, can't wait to try this one 😊
First time ever trying a Skinner blend! Thanks for making it easy to follow- but I'm getting really wide sheets, not much length. I have an older Amaco pasta machine roller, but not sure how that would make a difference. All Sculpey Premo.
Hi! That will happen naturally. The clay spreads with every fold and roll through. If you don’t have enough to fold, then run the sheet thru a thinner setting to give you more length. To shorten the blend, make a plug. That’s in a number of tutes! Bye! 😊❤️
Love the variation on the layers! Did u know that a spiral represents creativity? I bet you did! Lol I have been looking all over for oval jump rings with no luck...if u don't mind could u share your source?
Hello! Dd not know that about the spiral but it makes sense! Okay, here's my amazon link for the oval jumprings. Now, important thing - the opening has to be on the side. They make them on the ends (which makes absolutely no sense at all, but they do). These are correct: 2400 pieces Stainless Steel Oval Jump Rings amzn.to/3SXtf8A Note, this is my Amazon link so they may toss me a few cents (I have no idea - I have yet to make a cent! LOL) Big hugs, D
So I guess I didn’t cut and stack correctly or reduced the wrong direction, not once but twice. 🤭I’ve been dealing with a respiratory infection so I’m blaming the meds. 🥴But hey I made lemonade out of lemons and have a beautiful starry night cane. ❤ I’m not giving up though. Thanks for sharing.
The most common issue is stretching the strip out. When you do it next time, make sure the blend is contained in the short width of the strip and not with one color at one end and the other color at the other end of the strip. Short skinner blend, okay?❤️
Hello Donna Kato, may I ask you something, where do you order the eyelet jump rings with the opening on the side? I hope you will let me know. Thank you very much in advance. Kind regards Conny from the Netherlands😉👍🍀🇳🇱🌹
where did you get the necklace cording and connector to finish the piece off...looks like a 1/4 turn connector but, I cannot be sure...maybe a magnet???
I believe that was a magnet. They make these wire chokers that are either secured with magnets or screw on. I'm sure you ca find them at PandaHall? I'm sure you an get the screw on type there. Cheers, D
Hi, new subscriber, love this, can you tell me what brand of pasta maker you are using as it seems like it’s easy to use and doesn’t leave lines? Thanks x
Oh my! Prayers going your way! 🙏 make sure to rest. Don't worry we will be here waiting for you. That can go to your heart really quick. It's cellulitis. Happy you went to hospital. 🙏🙏

I love that cane!! Great tip with the white wrap.
Very talented and creative!
I liked the extra yellow as it really made a difference. I think you make the fastest plugs on the internet. lol
It did, right, Deb? Yup, better blend, kid. Hugs, D
Donna, you’re a breath of fresh air. Please keep making tutorials
Thank you! Will do! 😊❤️
I absolutely love these. The color is delicious... and you're so fun! Thank you. 😍
really beautiful!
I really like that you could see the dark through the yellow of the darker stripes. It adds to the effect and makes the light stripes glow.
Yup, there you go! I hadn't really seen that. Big hugs, D
That’s fabulous! Hope you feel better soon…sounded congested. Agree about the oval jump rings!
I am always congested...boo. Big hugs, D

This was amazing to watch. So simple but absolutely beautiful. I just want to confirm this was Kato polymer clay. I noticed the turquoise was different to Sculpey.

Perhaps at the end f the video show the pice that will be made in the members groups. It might entice more to join. Just a thought.
Good idea !!! they dont know what they are missing 😊
Good idea, Denise! I will try. Hugs, D
Should you always use oval jump rings even for earrings?
I do. They are more secure. 👍
I absolutely love this. Thank you. Are you able to achieve this without a pasta machine? I'm new to clay and don't have one x
You know, I think you could but it would be very hard to do. The pasta machine makes it very simple. I wish I hd a better answer for you. Hugs!
Hi Donna, I've been making lots of these squiggles. How about making an Octipus pendant with eight legs in your wonderful colors and blends.
Oh, an octopus, I love them, they're so intelligent. Did you see My Octopus Teacher? It's wonderful. Hugs, D

Hi Tiffany;
I use an Atlas 150 - the short rollers. It's my old stand by, kid. Hugs, D
subscribed Just a quick question. How long did you bake it? My clay says 15 minutes per 1/4 inch. Is that what you did?
I tend to cure 30-40 minutes. The pieces are rather bulky! ❤️
Appears to have a light shining from inside.
It does, doesn’t it? And it’s so simple. I love that!❤️
U THE BEST
❤❤
You’ll want this for this month’s Live Stream, Chrystal! ❤️
2:55 that is royal blue, not turquoise, turquoise has green in it.
Probably correct. It is the color Turquoise in the Kato line!
