Thank you, Samantha, it was an interesting experiment! One thing we learned is that a Sutton slice removes easily when the clay is partially cured. And the double-sided result is very pretty!
Beautiful outcome. I love how you’re confident that you can make it work even though if didn’t go the way you wanted. It’s such an important lesson; it’s art, never give up. Thank you for the reminder. I needed that 💗🤗
These turn out very pretty. I was pretty sure you were going to have melted plastic dripping from your fingers each time you touched your work after the heat gun. Then I realized it was probably made out of silicone. None the less, I'm glad you didn't get hurt. The earrings are stunning. The technique seems very doable.😊❤
Gorgeous design and well put together video. I’m getting back into clay after years out of the loop. You mentioned to bake the clay for 1 hour. ***Which clay are you using, and what is the baking temperature? ***How do you keep the end of the piece from curling up when baking? I just bought some Cernit and it’s so hard and crumbly it’s not even workable.- and then a sticky mess when softener is added. Sculpey Primo is much easier to handle, but curled up slightly. Thank you so much.
Hi Samantha, your earrings are just gorgeous!! I am just starting using clay and I’ve been watching a lot of tutorials and learned a lot so far. I loved that rubber form that you used to make these earrings. Could you please tell me what is called and where can you get things like that?
Thank you. The exact texture stamp I used in this video isn't available anymore, but I sell a very similar texture here. jessamadesign.etsy.com/listing/1799668369

I primarily use Premo polymer clay and bake it at 130c If the clay is 1mm or less thick, it will bend or curl while baking. Sandwich your clay between two pieces of plain printing paper and apply a small ceramic tile on top while it's baking. If it's a textured or sculpted piece, bake the clay directly on a tile so that the back sticks during the baking process.
Absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous ❤🎉 thank you for sharing your creativity with us all ❤️❤️

Love this tutorial-thank you so much.
I appreciate not only the designs you do, but especially the tips and tricks to get the best outcome! My favorite polymer clay site!
I like it so much.! Asian art 🥰

I love your tutorials! Beautiful result! Very inspiring! ❤
Your work is absolutely beautiful.
Loved the technique with the gold clay underneath. Looking forward to trying this out!
Wow! A beautiful piece of art. You’re making it look easy. Curing with a heat gun is new info. Thanks for this great lesson.
Beautiful!

Toujours magnifique !! Merci !! ❤
Beautiful! I agree to stick with an experiment and with mistakes, they can surprise you as maybe better or just a different way to do things.

Very pretty!
Beautiful, thank you so much for sharing ❤
First visit here :) thank you for the tutorial!
So gorgeous work 👏🤗
Super job

Love you tutorials. I would love to see you trying out crackle paint instead of heat gun. Thank you.

Thanks, very pretty!
Very nice, if you want to shorten it, you can also use a crackle paint on top, then stain it with a stain and wipe it out…to show the crackle more.

Is it necessary to use the heat gun, can you get the same effect without it?
The top layer, yes. The crackled layer, no.
