- This video will demonstrate how to create with and care for molds when using them with Polymer Clay. Molds are so versatile and allow makers to replicate the same pieces again and again. Not all silicones are created equally though, so I will take you through their key differences and how those differences change how you should work with the molds when using Polymer Clay.
The tools and supplies used in this video are as follows:
Polymer Clay
Liquid Clay
MyClayCo Moulds
Sculpey Mould
Cernit Mould
Ball Tools
Pigment Powder
Powder Brush
Earring Posts
All of the above can be found on our website www.myclayco.com.au

I have discovered a little tip that I have been using. Once my clay is in the mold, I will put it in the freezer to let it harden up a bit. Then the clay pops out easily.
Oh yes, that works a treat! Such a great tip, thanks for sharing ❤️
Thank you for sharing your tip :)
I'm novice but love your work AND tips. Thank you
You are very welcome! Have fun creating! 😊
I have a few moulds with repeated designs, so instead of demoulding them, I stick the mould with the clay still in them in the oven. They come out great. 😃🌻
So good when you can find those repeated design moulds. Baking them before popping them out certainly helps with making sure they keep their shape perfectly! 😊
Every time I watch one of your videos it makes me want to start making clay pieces!! Arghhhh you guys are going to cost me a fortune! 😂😂😂
Hehe whoopsie 🙈 it’s so fun and addictive! Haha ❤️
Thank you. This was an excellent tutorial. Very informative & helpful. I have a number of moulds but I used to get so frustrated with polymer clay. I was definitely using too much to try to get the details. Definitely a problem of the past! Thanks 😊
So glad you found it helpful! 😊 Enjoy creating with your moulds!
Great video - very professional and informative. New subscriber always looking for great tips and tricks. So many great tips thank you.

You're very welcome Liz! 🥰 Enjoy making with your moulds! 😊
@@myclayco Thank you! so much! Liz 💕
What an excellent video. You explain everything so clearly yet keep it lighthearted as well. Have you tried clay in holographic molds ? They work for resin but what would they do to clay ? I would try it for myself now I've seen your video, but I've torn my shoulder so no playing with clay for at least 6 weeks.
Oh no! What a long time to not be able to Clay! Hope you’re ok ❤️ You will have to get your fix watching videos and coming up with designs! 😅
I have seen these for resin but haven’t tried them. If I get my hands on one I will most definitely give it a go with clay! You have me very curious now ☺️
I found if you flip over your mold on a tile and your clay will stick to it and push out your flower or whatever you've molded.
Ohhhh what a great tip! That’s genius! 👏 Thank you for sharing ❤️
thank you :)
Our pleasure 🥰
Can you please do one thing for me? Get the voice coming through both speakers? I'm carer for my wife so I usually have the left earpiece out so I can hear her if she needs me, and it sounded like my headphones had died, cause you were only coming out of the left earphone :)
Thanks so much for the feedback - we have actually only just worked out what the issue is (after our last couple of videos 🙈) and now have the problem fixed. I’m so sorry, our next video should have the sound all sorted 😊
@@myclayco Thank you, that's awesome ☺
very useful, thank you, I´m sorry but it is hard to hear what you are saying
Thanks for letting us know, there is unfortunately an issue with the sound just going to the left or right speaker. Thankfully we’ve worked out why though so it won’t be an issue with our future videos! 😊
I notice that in the veins of some of the polyclay leaves there are tiny little blobs. Are they on purpose? IMO they aren't very attractive in a leaf vein.
That is just the way the mould is, lucky there are lots of leaf and flower moulds out there so you have plenty of options 😊
Volume very low. I cant hear yoo much.
Thanks so much for letting us know! We have worked out a couple of our videos are only playing the sound through one side of the speaker (which isn’t too much of an issue until the device you’re using only plays one side 😅). Thankfully we have just worked out the fix for future videos! Thank you for your feedback ❤️
I don't know what happened but the voice sound is hardly discernible. No sound at first, then music took over. 😢😢
I’m so sorry! It’s an issue with the sound playing solely in either the left or right speaker. We weren’t aware of it when we uploaded the video but we’ve worked out the problem so it’s fixed for future videos 😊
