This story is so good and I love how Jin is basically a proto ninja, ninja didn't exist yet so you could say Jin is the first one. Also he uses ninja techniques like Bombs, poison, stealth tactics, even using fear as a wepon, even disguises as one of the armors let's you dress as a Mongol.
I think my favorite thing about Ghost of Tsushima is the fact they have a sequel built right into history itself and the 2 invasions being so close in time meaning it's extremely possible to play as Jin. Heck the second invasion was supposedly LARGER than the first so we could have a longer game too
What would be cool would be like what if for the story that legends guy is actually a the oni of time and then gets sent to modern day Japan and has to fight as like a moon knight type superhero
they better not change jin like they did nathan drake. I promise...I've had one movie that was about a video game I love be trash. it would had been better as a tv show because then you get more time with the characters like in the game.
@@introduction1266 good point, it would make better since to make it a show rather than a movie. Hell, there’s a show of The Last of Us game coming too
@@quintonturpin925 I personally think it would be better as a movie since the entire style of the game is based off of the old samurai *movies* directed by Akira Kurosawa. Another direction that would work is to make 3 movies, Because there are 3 acts in Ghost of Tsushima. Also it could be kinda cool if they made the movie in only black and white like Akira Kurosawa's movies, but they likely won't which is perfectly fine. This might be the only movie based on an actual game where the movie has Very high potential to be good, if not better than the game.
@@rt3playz359 Have you never heard of Halo 2, Mass Effect 2, KH2, Baldurs Gate 2, Crash Bandicoot 2-3, Spyro 2-3, Destroy all Humans 2, any GTA, Max Payne 2, Batman: Arkham City, Red Dead Redemption, KOTOR 2, Sly Cooper 2, Mario Bros 2-3, Ms PAC Man, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Portal 2, Street Fighter 2, Hitman 2, and so many more. Like you deadass just said the dumbest thing I’ve seen this whole year Video games aren’t movies, they tend to get better the more that are made (exceptions being COD and Battlefield, quantity > quality in that situation)
Sucker Punch did an amazing job with the game. But I do have two criticisms fir the game they need to work on for the sequel. Most of the missions were exactly the same. I hope they get more creative in the sequel. A lot of corners were cut in animations (though that may be due to the budget)
it sold 10 million copies...they are definitely getting a huge budget for the sequel and yeah I agree on the missions if you are talking about the tales of tsushima(non character ones).
Mongols did came back with fleet 3-5x larger than the first one as per history and that force conquered both Tsushima and Iki once again before heading to mainland. I would love to see a sequel on that and maybe the Shogun will reinstate Sakai Clan and be their War Banner bearer to end the Mongul occupation.
I've been thinking about ways to make the game feel more realistic. Just a simple idea like a katana/tachi maintenance, It works like this : if we didn't maintain the blade every now and then, the blade could get dull and drastically decreased the efficiency in sword combats, even could break in combat And here's when the bladesmith comes in for a sole purpose of fixing the broken katana(not for upgrade only) So the placement of the bladesmith will be the same across the island, but the place to regularly maintain the blade will also be scattered around like the tameshigiri/poetry/onsen kind of placement Kinda like how the samurai keeping their edge of a blade well maintain and ready in every dreadful situations.
A bit like your gun getting dirty in RDR2? That’s a cool idea. It would be fun if you had to do something with the touchpad or the controller like when you play the flute for the animals on Iki.
I clicked on a timline video hoping i could see the full timeline, the timeline breaks the bonds of what is shown in the game. I wanted to understand Shimura going against Yarikawa, the Sakai invasion on Iki, and much more.
I hope u guys can do a whole mafia timeline game i just started playing the remastered game but i would love to see the timeline of it please make it happen lol
what about legends mode i feel like that would fit into it somehow as it is on the same island as there are places in both that are the same and hav visible changes which could be used to determen the point in time of when that happened
But consider this: Shimura is the only clan in the game that pushes that idea of the samurai code. Every other clan in the clan like Yarikawa, Sakai clan, Adachi clan did not follow such a code. Many of them, like Yarikawa uses torture, Clan Sakai massacred Iki, and Adachi’s sister clan would use the mongol invasion as a cover to kill it’s master clan. Like in real life each samurai clan had a different code. Even then Shimura would bend his code just so that Jin would stay on the side of the shogun, wanting to punish Yuna in his place. Shimura even enlisted a criminal to contact the shogun.
@@samuraijackoff5354 The single most consistent rule in samurai bushido is to bring victory to your lord. In other words, being defeated because you refused to use sneaky tactics would be the height if dishonor, no matter what your clan. There was nothing dishonorable about fighting cleverly, just the opposite. This is a very modern notion that was started by adventure/romance stories within the last couple centuries. The same applies to chivalry.
Idk about botw but in windwaker its implied that the deku tree there is the baby deku sprout from ocarina of time. So its implied when a deku tree dies, it plants a sapling to become a new deku tree so the one in botw could be the sapling feom oot or a descendant
