This brings back memories. I test drove a yellow one in 92 turbo, before purchasing an Acura Integra. I didn't qualify for the loan because it's nearly 10 grands more than the Integra LS.
I daily one of these. Quite possibly the best handling car ive ever driven. Its very nippy considering i have the 180hp 3sge, im planning on eventually v6 swapping it.

Amazing car and looks like a blast to drive. I have a built 2GR (3.5L v6) turbo with similar power and a Tilton 7.25in OT-II cerametallic racing clutch and it's easy to get off the line without stalling. Wonder why this one has issues?
That had a 3S-GE stock when it was original similar to my 1988 Toyota Celica GT which has a 3S-FE 2.0 inline 4 cylinder with 59K miles. And this insane MR2 id like to think of it as more of a Honda equivalent version of a S2000 and a Prelude combined
All Japanese cars of this type, with mid/rear engine and small size, were born to imitate the Fiat X1/9. (If I remember correctly Jeremy Clarkson said it in Top Gear or The Grand Tour) Even if, I'm Italian, I have to admit that they imitated her well. They're all beautiful. (Although as an Italian, I appreciate the X1/9 more) 🤣😊

this car had was NA with a 3SGE. which is not that special to be honest. a turbo K series is the perfect swap due to availability and power potential
