I am at Land Rover getting some work done. I just all the services guys pic of the Grenadier , they are going gaga! I am going to buy this. I waited and was so disappointed in the new Defender. I was even looking at older Defenders until this came out.
Where can we go see one of these vehicles? I am in the USA and I understand that we will be waiting longer than most of the world for its availability. It looks like a great design, but I would like to see it in person.
It’s all good so far but can it have extra sits on the back like the old land rover as an accessory so it could be attached to load more people, especially to have remote areas in mind where I think it’s a necessity to carry people around!?
Looks great, but still some aspects could be dfiferent/improved. The shift lever is just awful and not at all matching the spirit and look of the rest of the interior, that´s my main criticism in the interior, i would prefer a manual gear!. Would you provide a 7 seat version?????? I am a defenderTD5 owner and a potential Ineos buyer, since the new defender doesn´t respect the spirit and atitude of the real Defenders. This new veicule -ineos grenadier is in a good position to be the real heir. Please, continue to improve it. For people like me, that lives in a remote area, an Atlantic Island, the after purchase service is extremely important, who would assist me after buying an Ineos????????
Well apart from the screen I guess the 1990's style dash is ok if you like that sort thing. To me the dash is quite important because its the thing you look at most in a vehicle and of course its thing you interact with. If your using it as purely a utility vehicle then its ok, as an everyday driver no thanks.
Reliability question is in my mind when start to see too many things operating by electric push button. Can this vehicle be fixed in local garage if something goes wrong along the rogue route in remote parts of the world. I am planning to drive from UK to Nepal in the beginning of 2027 but my choice would be Toyota Land cruiser.
It’s amazing like going back to the 70s excep most peeps are in ore of everything that comes from the land of smiles . Leave the past behind, let the defender have a dignified death ! :(
That BMW gear shifter not matching the interior and just destroys all its offroad rugged style. Ineos or BMW please make a car specific gear shifter for the Grenny. Thanks
@@beaviccoon470 in Portugal they used defenders in mining because they were better against rust than Toyotas. But other than that almost nobody bought them to work (some units in fire fighting and utility companies). And I love those cars, had a series III. But Toyota killed the market for them.
The idea with the switches on the roof of the car is insane and unsafe, and the touchpad is totally missed and outdated, and I wouldn't waste words on the BMW gear lever.
It has a plug in point just below the vents for the rear passengers. On this model in had a blanking plate but I have seen it. They have also promised it will have a decent amperage which is refreshing.
As an unashamed Defender clone it looks great. Sadly I can't get my head around Jim Ratcliffe's Brexit BS. How ironic that the company is making the car in Europe. How's that for backing Britain?
Sad to say that driving position is awful. No, leg room whatsoever. On a long journey I would go crazy if I can't move my thighs a bit. That center console is way too wide.
I’m 1,98 m tall and was really impressed with the amount of room I had in the drivers seat compared to other popular 4x4s. Follow us and make sure you don’t miss the test drive video which will be coming soon.
100% sure these would end up ferrying the Taliban Elite and their ruffian looking bodyguards toting AK's in Afghanistan in a few months after it's launched and in the hundreds. None will know how they ended up there and everyone would wonder. It would all work out well with the Ineo's people selling their wares showcasing the robust build of their cars. It sure is a amazing world..
Very nice car, i would say, nice tool, i am sure that this 4x4 will have a great succes. I admire Mr. Ratcliff who decides to create the new "Grenadier" wich 1000 x better than the old Defender wich was "has been"
Two things about the interior are awful !!! That BMW gear shifter has never been loved and looks and feels terrible, only looks worse in a Morgan sadly So either use the older knob BMW have designs and specs for or as BMW have dropped it in some of its newer vehicles Use that instead Looks bad especially next to the old school 4x4 selector grrrrr But, totally unforgivable, especially for a clean sheet design is the use of awkward and archaic 60:40 split rear seats, instead of the truly more useable and functional 40:20:40 How can a modern designer or Recaro No see this as otherwise the design looks great 🤬 It’s not put me off tho and thankfully I was one of the first with a deposit down, so I’ll have to wait and see Only thing I can’t decide on is to either finally spec or not, the rear side Gullwing Windows 🧐
I've some reservation about the interior. It is a cross between a car and helicopter cock-pit. It seems to be have too many button and switches for a car and not enough for a cock-pit. The exterior is undoubtedly a Tonka toy based model. No nonsense curves all boxy and practical. The real question is which market or punters is this car orientated. For School run, this is too ugly for yummy mommies. For harsh jungle environment there are equally capable cars which has reliability proof over the years like Land Cruiser. For a show off as Chelsea Tractor, there are more posh looking ones like Discovery and Range Rover not to mention Jaguar and Porsche. Would it prove to be better reliable than it's homage the defender? I'll keep fingers crossed and hope this would be a reliable car to drive before Government enforced E-vehicle plague.
Why would you design it so the driver’s knee touches the centre console?
Is there going to be a 7seat option?
Great details you confirmed in this video, especially removal roof windows and details in the luggage space! 😎
Everything about this car is on point. I'm ordering one.

Why BMW is a bad brand name !!??
It is more to the old G wagon to me than a defender, I wish it had a manual gearbox
I just wish it had a 3rd row seat. Will this come to the states?
You guys have new Bronco. We also want it in Europe.

This project is coming out incredibly well!
Ever considered a Normal Cab Long Bed model similar to Land Cruiser 79?
Practical for sticking a pair of machine guns through the rooftop when having to cross rebel territory.
Where in the UK will you be able to buy the grenadier especially in northern Ireland
We will publish more information, as it becomes available, on overland-europe.com
Love the German influence !!!
How can I order one from Canada?

I seem to remember a third row of seats will be an option.
Please overthink your cameramovment! It is like driving inside a ship with no windows. It was hard to watch!
Will we get it in South Africa, right hand drive?
Yes, a right hand drive model will be produced.

I like it a lot but nobody will work with this. 70 series and Hilux are used to work in real world
Ye but they will rust quite quickly in the north of Scotland if used to the extreme. Although the grenadier might do that as well so maybe your right.
