I would have a serious look at it if it was going to be built in the uk but the press say that they have put the factory in Bridgend on hold while they look at building it on land that Mercedes own.
It can be made in in the UK and that leaves 194 countries that can import the vehicle. Or it can be made in Hambach France where Daimler has a 'turn key' ready to go factory. Ineos has also suspended development of a chassis factory in Portugal, I assume pending discussions about Hambach. So if the Grenadier is finally assembled in the UK or France, it doesn't make any difference to the global market where there is 194 countries as a potential importer. With the majority of components sourced from the European continent just imagine the cost savings on parts freight alone. It's simple economics and Ineos will make a business decision. You would have to think that an agreement will be reached for the Hambach site. Ineos needs a factory, Daimler has one they don't need.
Reduced electronics, post Pandemic modesty, a stealthy luxurious interior all designed and scrutinized under the most merciless of Teutonic sliderule it is most definitely a Range Rover Killer.
Apart from its absolutely stuffed with electronics, the bmw engine has a very advanced DME, the gearbox has its own ecu and it also likely will have the bmw I drive system.
All very well & good saying do we want to see more of it, yes of course but more of the engine in it would be nice as I've heard all sort's about this BMW unit and would like to know how they've come about aledgedly choosing that over all others.
Land Rover thrown away the real gem and brought some useless shit. Someone has picked it up and now going to sell it. Land Rover think like oh what have we done.
The only way to build a 4x4,.... outdated thinking outdated engineering. The ladder frame is not as tough as an exoskeleton or unibody. Look at APC carriers or tanks for that matter.

Ever considered a Normal Cab Long Bed model similar to Land Cruiser 79?
better than new defender......
Grenadier: a fish in French. The Ineos Fish.
So able to cross a deep river, best 4x4 today if produced, certainly
Legionnaire made in France 🤣🤣🤣
Where will it be built?. Wales Or France

The land rover lawyers are scrambling. There must be some way we can sue them!!!
Will it have lockers

Amazing vehicle, would absolutely buy one but these people are playing a game where the first person to say "Land rover defender" is a rotten egg...
Nothing new on this car mix between a UAZ and a Defender..........but 3 times the price I suspect......
I agree. Looks high quality but it will be expensive and nothing new on design. Like you said, defender and UAZ mix.
Shame that the design is slightly eastern european
Already out of date,........ dear oh dear
