      Hi dude. Do you know why most USA ranges come with blue interior and silver insulation? Do they come from a single factory in Mexico?

    • @DesignerAppliances
      @DesignerAppliances  5 років тому +2

      Good question Yurieu - most ranges come with blue interior not because of where it is manufactured, but to copycat high end stoves like Wolf. They made blue interior color popular/unique (and are made 100% in the USA) but the color serves no other purpose than aesthetic. There are copycats that cover their oven interiors with cheap blue coating but it ends up chipping when you do a high-heat self clean. Bluestar ranges have black interior and are porcelain coated for endurance - made 100% in Pennsylvania USA. Thermador ranges are all black interior, also made in the USA. Miele ranges are all black but made in Germany. You also have some ovens that have specs on the interior, which are meant to cover the materials imperfections. So it's not a question of where it is being made but the quality of the materials used to build the range. As far as silver insulation, do you mean the fireproof lining? That is just standard across the board.

    Hi, Is there anyway that I can purchase some part for my blue star oven?

    People can also checkout Thor, Forno and Caloric ranges. Their cheaper than most, and offer same features of those twice and three times the price. Just because an appliance is expensive it doesn’t always guarantee quality and flawless operation.

    I would like to buy a blue star 30 inch range for my boat, the problem is the entry doors on my boat are only 22 inches wide. Can any of the blue star 30 inch ranges be disassembled to parts less then 22 inches?

      @DesignerAppliances  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Joel, unfortunately they can't be disassembled but have you considered a Bluestar rangetop or cooktop? They would be an easier fit and they offer similar cooking power.

    I have an older model blue star range. I would like to be able to remove the oven door for cleaning, I looked at a youtube video on the subject but my hinges are different from the video. Please make a video or a written download available for how to do this.

      Hi Gable Young - which model do you have? We will try to find the info you need. Otherwise, you can always call Bluestar service at 800-449-8691 for information regarding your specific model.

      @@DesignerAppliances The model number of my range is 0505136. I tried calling blue star but was told that they wouldn't give me information on removing the oven door due to liability. I found that strange due to the fact that most manufacturers have information available to their customers as to how to remove an oven door.

    Do not buy a Bluestar! It is not worth the money. It rusts, the oven igniter and range burners fail, the convection unit is loud, and all this after 8 years and $3200. Better look for another product.

      I have had many problems as well. Mine is an older model which was shipped to me factory dropped. It cost me a lot of money to get what was a brand new model up and running. Customer service was terrible. I don't know if they upped their game but many new purchasers seem happy. My stove had a door that was crooked, starters on the range that would randomly spark, and an oven that sent sparks onto the floor on top of a dented side panel. I couldn't believe it when their customer service guy (Pete Bloodgood) actually told me that arcing was nothing to worry about. It turned out that the oven was wired wrong.

      Gable Young too much money to gamble with on a day to day appliance. Yes, I have forgotten to mention the door, fortunately they have replaced it on their own cost as it happened within the warranty. The igniter went out again, only two years after I had replaced the original one. Next In line are the burners...

    Please do yourself a favor and don't buy BlueStar. I've had my stove for two years and have already had to replace three burners (one of them twice) and the oven ignition, twice. Did I mention separate gas leaks? Customer service is terrible, they refuse to replace my stove although I so clearly got a lemon. I even contacted the company president Eliza Sheffield who couldn't be bothered to respond. I will never buy again and never recommend to anyone. Avoid.

    Do not fall for this faulty product. Everything from structural support bars through burners, convection unit and door (that won’t open) gets compromised quickly. On top of it the service is useless.

      You have a newer bluestar with issues? I don't know what to do. I'm buying a new house and the kitchen is at the top of the budget for remodeling. I've read bad things about Viking, Thermador, Zline, and now, Bluestar. I definitely don't want an unreliable range. My basic GE stove has been solid for 11 years, was thinking of going with their pro line.

    So sorry I bought this range. Don't waste your money. The electronic igniters went within the first year. The igniter in the oven went pretty quickly after that. . The gas line that sat up against that igniter rusted and needed to be replaced. The stovetop burners are rusted and corroded with large gaping holes. The convection fan was off balance and could not be used. The paint is chipping off. The door is crooked. This was a huge purchase for me and there is no way i would ever recommend this piece of garbage to anybody. Keep looking. What a disaster
