Exactly, one of the worst things people can do is trying to go through with turns or trying to correct mistaken directions etc. Better off just continuing with wherever your accidentally going and find a safe place to pull over, figure out where you are and how to get back on route
One of the first things i learned - no sudden moves, no sudden decisions, if you miss your turn go round the block. But now there’s a level of arrogant disregard for anyone other than themselves.
There’s usually a roundabout not far ahead in a little of places anyway where you can turn around & come on back. Even on a motorway, you get off at the next exit, make a right, go over the overpass, get back on the motorway & head back to the previous, missed exit.
It's so easy. You just go past whatever turn you missed by mistake (or took by mistake), find a place to do a safe, legal U-turn, and then do better the second time. Everybody can go about their day. Nobody's car gets totalled cos someone had to swerve to miss you. Doesn't that sound better than tens of thousands in repair costs, or potentially a stay in hospital with a serious injury?

Things to keep in mind before visiting Australia for myself: Never assume people understand what the colours of lights mean. Always assume someone who pulls to the side of the road is going to immediately make a u-turn right into the front of your car. Always assume anyone will drive right out into the road without looking, never look before changing lanes. Not understand road markings because why would a two lane road be marked different from a one way obviously. No one understands roundabouts because who does, honestly. Anyone with a trailer is dangerous.

5:08, Unbelievable that those cars run in front of that ambulance, every emergency vehicle should have a camera that automatically takes pics of cars that cut them off, and sent to the police for prosecution or fines, be a different story, if those vehicles needed the emergency though.
04:50 I was the DC there, there was clear vision of the incoming ambulance down the hill on Victoria road, everyone just played follow the leader on the green arrow, absolutely no point in rushing that intersection as the red arrow goes away and can turn most times of the day there within a minute or so. Exactly. The dc car is the F' wit. Perfect example of an "entitled" attitude. Does it really hurt to take a minute of your PRECIOUS time to allow a truckie in so he/she can get in the correct lane they need?
The filter where you have to get left to get in the Parramatta lane in St Peters 😊to the M8/M4 is really poorly marked. The first time I did it, I missed and you end up driving to the M5 at Rockdale - there are no other exits. It's a 15km detour with extra tolls
13:30 The pov car had plently of time to see the trucks indicators, I know it was from 2 lanes over but there was a good pause between the second lane change
Yeah. DC's the "fuckin' idiot". I always sit back when I see truckies doing a lane change and their indicator stays on. Common sense, really. Hubby's a heavy haulage truckie and you kinda get to see from their POV the shit car drivers pull so I try not to pull the same moronic shit. One guy nearly decapitated himself while traffic was stopped so hubby could make a turn on the wrong side of the road at an intersection while hauling a concrete bridge beam and the guy decided to go through any way. I like my head on my neck...not in the back seat. DCer should've just sat back. Not that hard.
The gap between the DC and the car in front was never more than a few feet longer than the total length of the truck. The pause you speak of was all of about 1.5 seconds long. Truck driver should have just stayed in his lane and whoever was behind the DC car would have been able to see his intention to change lane clearly and could have let him in.
That's also a particularly bad area for it; end of the Hunter Expressway at Cameron Park eastbound (near Newcastle, NSW). The truck took the southbound exit from the Pacific Highway and was taking a right at the next intersection. Need to merge across three lanes moving at 80 km/h to do it. The southbound exit is also a sharp turn, bad enough in a car let alone a truck
Cracking way to start, can't help but giggle along with everyone. 1:10 felt like he was going a bit quick for the area? 2:00 good thing that kid didn't take off any quicker, that could have been bad. 2:28 this is why you avoid changing lanes at intersections of any type.. 3:30 why is it always the guilty ones who want to yell at people who weren't doing anything wrong? 6:40 well it's a good thing the problem literally came up and smacked us on the face, all that blurry footage is good for. 8:30 again, innocent pedestrians almost getting whacked by some impatient jerk 10:35 did... did they just skulk away from that? 20:13 DC merges over a solid line then proceeds to get mad at the kia who merged correctly. Suppose its karma the red car cut them off (not that it was the right thing to do)
Im getting road rage watching this video whilst sitting at home. This is one of the most infuriating videos I've seen in a while. The sheer audacity and arrogance of some of these drivers whilst blatantly being in the wrong really grinds my gears. 😅
15:33. If you accelerated into the goon you could have made it out to be an accident as you felt threatened and then panicked. Then he wouldn't have to scam a disabled permit because he would be crippled.
18:34 That Honda's reverse sure seemed deliberate (or stupid if they were trying to look around an object in the way of their view when turning), probably first time I've seen a cammer actually avoid it by backing up in time.
It's such a common panic reaction. We see it on dash cams all the time. Especially on freeways. I used to ride a motorcycle and my fear was the person who tried to turn left with the traffic but pulled in front of a car heading in the same direction but with right of way. That car is oncoming to me and instead of just braking or crashing into the car that did an illegal LH turn, swerves onto my side of the road and I have a head-on.

28:55 Do you know why people are arseholes? Because we let them be arseholes. Good work on taking the time to teach an arsehole not to be an arsehole......
You know, I'm into DnD and I know so many people who turn up late to games and if you've started without them they expect a full catch up on whats been happening and either way they really interrupt things. I've found that if you just once start dead on time, then don't catch them up but tell them they can work it out on their own and ignore their distractions.... they don't do it again. Some people are happy to make 5 others wait 20 minutes for them. It's only when they realise there will be consequences for their actions (in this case missing out on the fun) that they suddenly stop being a selfish prick. I use DnD as an example but it applies to so many areas in life. A lot of people can be selfish pricks. It's only when it has consequences to them do they suddenly start caring.
5:10 - blows the horn at someone for breaking the law... then the DC driver breaks the law ten seconds later. 6:10 - white CRaptiva ran the red. The left arrow for the DC turned green pretty much the same time as the collision. The light for the CRaptiva would have been red way before they entered.
Regardless of any blindspots the Tesla driver still failed to check for traffic that is approaching and give way to traffic already on the road, even well after the cammer left the blindspot pillar and is in plain sight, the Telsa driver still kept going and pulled out in front of the dashcam driver.
0:26 Our first ILS 1:06 The nong doesn't notice the biker AND also crosses a double centre line. 2:28 Novice driver changes lane at a dangerous point and without giving a long enough signal. A crash almost results. 6:38 SUV moves into path of white corolla. Corolla avoids SUV but hits another innocent car. IMO the corolla should have chosen to hit the SUV instead. The corolla driver will probably be held responsible for the damage. 12:37 Another ILS closing off every escape path. 17:23 The ute with trailer has made a mistake but fixes it in a reasonably safe way. 19:54 Excellent horn use from DC driver. Notice the pedestrian chooses to step out without looking for traffic. Why waste time looking? The horn wakes her up.
I fell and broke my neck. This was at five a.m. There was no traffic to impede the ambulance. I stopped breathing but got to the Emergency Room in time to suffer no harm. Just seconds stood between my _complete_ recovery and _death_ TRUE! The idiots impeding that ambulance (4:50) could be _actually_ killing someone. Give Way!!! (Brilliant medical care saved me utterly. I healed with no residual harm. Now, six years later, the only sign is the huge scar on the back of my neck where quick and accurate surgery saved my live and abilities.)
It's a two way street (one way in either direction). Cammer was trying to overtake IN the same lane that the SUV in front was turning from, this would mean that the cammer would be MOSTLY at fault if an accident occurred. Yes the SUV in front could have been more predictable and had better use of indicators, however if the cammer had followed the road rules (ie, NOT tailgating and trying to overtake) then the issue would never have occured. TLDR: While both are dumb, cammer did the most things wrong and would be more at fault in the event of a collision.
@@Finitefox Agreed it would be cammer's fault. He must stay behind the car until safe to overtake. The front car stayed within their lane (although awkwardly)
@@petesmitt If he was trying to overtake then why is he still in the single lane? There is only 1 single lane there, not 2 or 3 or 4, only 1 single lane!
@@kimsland999 so the car making a U turn being required to give way to all other vehicles doesn't count? Also he is still in the lane because if the car had stayed left as it looked like it was going to until half a second before they chucked the u turn, they didn't need much room to get past.
2:25. This shows why defensive driving is important. Totally the car pulling outs fault but just waiting to pass before changing lane can save a lot of grief.
Once, I was waiting at a T intersection waiting to turn left. Car coming from the right, indicated, started to turn even, then changed their mind and carried on straight. I almost went, glad I didn't. Since then, I just wait until it's clear, no excuses.
@@ifluro My brother had that happen to him too. The guy who went straight got a $50 fine for inappropriate use of indicator, and my brother got the cost of the damage! The rule at T intersections is: Give way to all cars. It doesn't say: Unless they have indicators on!

@bryandavisent5621 What's that got to do with there being zero registered scooters? Things to keep in mind before visiting Australia for myself:
Never assume people understand what the colours of lights mean.
Just another week with Days of our Lives saga watching the incompetence, laziness, impatience and stupidity on our roads Brought to you by DASH CAM VIDEOS.

The last one was awesome. Walked him back down the road 😂
5:08, Unbelievable that those cars run in front of that ambulance, every emergency vehicle should have a camera that automatically takes pics of cars that cut them off, and sent to the police for prosecution or fines, be a different story, if those vehicles needed the emergency though.
Honestly this happens to us multiple times a shift, every shift.
04:50 I was the DC there, there was clear vision of the incoming ambulance down the hill on Victoria road, everyone just played follow the leader on the green arrow, absolutely no point in rushing that intersection as the red arrow goes away and can turn most times of the day there within a minute or so. Even with sirens going the motorbike and Commodore were just plain nasty there.
@@eafj90 Yep, I've been cut off by two vehicles in the space of 3 lights. Everyone has to get in front of the ambulance.

13:33 Why would you pull up next to it when it's indicating?
Because that cammer lacks a brain and can’t give way to a truck because the think the world revolves around them
Yeah that DC car was an idiot. The car in front fair enough. But she had plenty of time to see and understand.
Exactly give way to the truck
Shit driving

Long one this week, wow and just loved the last video. The reverse of shame. Haha serves you right
13:30 The pov car had plently of time to see the trucks indicators, I know it was from 2 lanes over but there was a good pause between the second lane change
I'm glad I'm not the only one that picked this up.
You have to laugh at the horn and her frustration when it was her fault.
I guess the do not overtake turning vehicle sign means nothing nowadays.
10:25 That is some light pole! Did not even twitch stopping a speeding car instantly.
I'm just so amazed at the amount of driver's that just don't look, or even worse, don't care.

This whole video can be summed up thusly: watch where you're bloody going when you're driving... Don't get angry at others when *you* do something serious... "I cannot believe the audacity of this guy" and "nature is cool... and scary".
2:28 this is why it's required to wait until ALL lanes are clear before entering a road
3:30 they thought the other vehicle was turning left
20:13 DC merges over a solid line then proceeds to get mad at the kia who merged correctly.
Suppose its karma the red car cut them off (not that it was the right thing to do)
Im getting road rage watching this video whilst sitting at home. This is one of the most infuriating videos I've seen in a while. The sheer audacity and arrogance of some of these drivers whilst blatantly being in the wrong really grinds my gears. 😅

8:45. What a flog. Cutting a trucks safe stopping space is how the kids, or anyone in the back seat goes to heaven.
15:33. If you accelerated into the goon you could have made it out to be an accident as you felt threatened and then panicked. Then he wouldn't have to scam a disabled permit because he would be crippled.
yer perfect opportunity to try that bull bar out
18:34 That Honda's reverse sure seemed deliberate (or stupid if they were trying to look around an object in the way of their view when turning), probably first time I've seen a cammer actually avoid it by backing up in time.
6:40 thats exactly why you dont swerve to try avoid a crash, the corolla driver now has to pay for damages
And the person who caused it can (maybe) drive off unless they get the number plate
The 4WD might be found responsible. But I 100% agree about (not) swerving.
With first hand knowledge of the incident that's exactly what happened. The outlander or whatever it is bailed before police and towies showed up.@@maxmackinlay618

Famous words from Ray Shoesmith, Mr. In Between.
What law did they break ten seconds later?
@@DriftNick didn't give way to the bus.
Another episode of selfish people who value saving a few seconds at the expense of risking your life.
17:39 I'm sure the cammer speeding through a blindspot for that intersection had nothing to do with it
Regardless of any blindspots the Tesla driver still failed to check for traffic that is approaching and give way to traffic already on the road, even well after the cammer left the blindspot pillar and is in plain sight, the Telsa driver still kept going and pulled out in front of the dashcam driver.
So, the Tesla - facing a Give Way sign - pulls out into a blind spot is not the problem?
6:00 always thought those huge wrong way signs were a bit much, but I give some drivers too much credit
13:09 This one is early dementia on wheels.

0:26 Our first ILS
1:06 The nong doesn't notice the biker AND also crosses a double centre line.

2:40 this is a prime example on why you don’t tailgate, even though they wouldn’t be at fault.
Good chance you would still be at partial fault. Insurance will argue that you didn't leave sufficient distance and assign partial blame.
No stereotypes were broken in the making of these videos.
2:25. This shows why defensive driving is important. Totally the car pulling outs fault but just waiting to pass before changing lane can save a lot of grief.
Plenty of time and space to change lanes after the "intersection".
Really enjoyed the lightning this episode! Also "do they not know the rules‽" should be the tagline of this channel lol
Last one has a disability parking permit to go with their inability to understand which side of the road to drive on.
@2:47 so obvious a u-turn or right was gonna happen, awareness and expectation keeps you alive.
That is why I don’t like overtaking trucks, you can’t predict them.
