But no...
the driver slammed the brake on, the single chain had let the A frame rise (trailer weight too far back which helped lever the coupling off the undersize tow ball)
and the coupling centre punched the boot closing line on the HG Holden ramming into the boot cavity and almost hit the back seat before it stopped.
@@AlexanderTheGrateful As the chain mounting points that I have seen are on either side of the hitch point your explanation means that one would have to cross over if they are connected to the same point.
Meaning more sway!
And in this case you could tell that they were crossed, how?
@AlexanderTheGrateful ,
Got me thinking.
How about length of hitched safety chain? I normally go short as looks reasonable ... and crossed, to be honest.

Evidently we need a fuwckit tax on utes.
No, we actually just need a fuwckit tax on fuwckits as it’s not just Ute drivers. Imagine the state of our roads if they did that and applied it back to road repairs with amount of those people on the roads!
These videos always make me relax and think of how some people are just stupid.

There is no collection as wild as this for the rest of the world combined, specially so regularly. It's awesome! Really says a lot about australian drivers.
I've always avoided driving in foreign countries that drive on the other side of the road, but maybe since I've survived driving here in Australia with all our f-wits maybe driving in Europe would be a piece of cake.
I just got back from Cambodia. Being a passenger in a car on the wrong side of the two-lane road, overtaking a car which was overtaking a motorbike, while being flashed by an oncoming truck also overtaking a motorbike, 5-10 minutes after walking out of the airport, was an experience. Tell you what though - I didn't see a single crash while I was there. Everyone seems way more aware of what's going on around them, and everything is give and take to help each other get where they're going. Fatality statistics aren't great though, it has to be said.

I don't know how someone could be centimeters from being potentially crushed between two trucks, didn't bother braking or using their horn and just laugh it off like it was funny 🙄
yeah wtf
Some people laugh as a panic response/defense mechanism
Loss of situational awareness, and lack of training generally cause these sort of problems. So many people no longer associate the horn as a tool for safety due to misuse, and some people actively avoid using it because of that which leads to situations like this.
the problem is, I don't think they know they were in great danger...
The ladder causing chaos, dude doesn't even know.
Totally clueless. Meanwhile, semi, almost takes out a couple of cars next to them. Possible that the ladder still got launched into a windscreen or radiator.
Haven't seen a ladder on the channel for awhile, they used to be quite common
It's extremely dangerous. How quickly that could have turned into a rolled over semi and a few people dead. All because some idiot can't tie a ladder on.
