The best burger hands down for price and the different toppings(including olives, which unbelievably is delicious on it) is Kee Pee's in Lima, Ohio, which fresh grinds it's beef every morning for use there. Absolutely delicious.
If you’re in Arizona and annoyed that the people who make best this and that lists don’t even venture out if the Phoenix area, try G’s Burgers in Cornville (NE of Camp Verde). They’ve been on other local lists and their burgers are GOOD.
The best burger I ever had was in Davenport Iowa, a place called Ross's they have a loose meat burger ( yes it's the inspiration for the loose meat sandwich on roseanne tv show) it's on a Kaiser roll topped with melted cheese and it's awesome
The restaurant closed literally BEFORE this video even came out. lol. But then again, this channel seems to get just about everything wrong that they talk about, so it isn't too surprising.
I don’t know which Jucy Lucy is the best since I’m not from Minnesota, but I’ve had one and i know that one of them has to be on the list. That’s a damn good burger, and totally associated with Minnesota unlike the garbage on this list
From MN. Anytime I see a top burger list involving sota, it's always the jucy lucy with 5-8 or Matt's. Sure, they're the icons, but it'd be nice if somewhere else would get mentioned. My votes would go to The Red Cow, Annie's parlor, and maybe Murray's (the steak place, but they make a good burger).
I’m from Maryland, and you should definitely check out Abbey Burger. All in all, it doesn’t seem super special, but you can completely customize your burger, and even have some of the meat of the day. I’ve had bison, elk, antelope and boar burgers.
Oklahoma here, Nic's is good but there are others that as good or better, Meers Store & Restaurant in Meers Oklahoma, Arnold's or Linda Mar in Tulsa, Tucker's Onion Burgers in Oklahoma City, Boompa's in Elgin, Bait Shop Burgers in Snyder, & Sid's Dinner (home of the original Onion Burger) in El Reno
Absolutely, but you’re just being spared annoyance by not being on this list. Literally, every state I’m familiar with they got wrong. And, seeing how many people are complaining from around the country, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got every single one wrong. Honestly, I think this is paid commercial content from restaurants that pay to be featured and not an honest list.
We had an A&W here it was great, everything was made fresh. Then corporate got involved and they didn't want stuff made fresh. The owner told them to shove it and they closed it down.
I watched this to see if David’s Burgers made the list for Arkansas. Was afraid it got beat by som fru-fru yuppy burger place. Was glad to see that David’s is still on top. Everything is fresh made there. Even the fries are hand cut from fresh potatoes.
You missed the mark in Maryland. The most iconic Maryland burger is found in sunshine Maryland at the gas station. Yes, the gas station! They have been making them for half a century and they take 30 minutes and they are worth the wait!
Most of these look like a real mess to deal with and check out the prices of these places, many over $10 just for a burger compared to $1.50 to make a basic burger at home. I've done more than my fair share of burger making to come up with what I think makes the best out there both on the grill and in the pan. I like to get daily ground, fresh beef from our local butcher and bakery buns from the grocery store that get either grilled or toasted. I've found that about a 1/3lb patty is just about right in the 5-6oz range, forget the multiple patties or the monster thick ones. I season with salt, freshly ground pepper and a little onion and garlic powder in good proportion that doesn't overpower the beef and I either grill on high heat or medium heat in a pan on the stove...4 minutes on the first side, 3 minutes on the second. You know when to flip when you see the blood show on the top of the patty and when you do, immediately add a single slice of REAL cheese, cheddar/swiss/provolone/brick/muenster/etc so that it melts in beautifully. This makes an excellent blank slate to build all manor of burgers from a bacon cheese burger to a mushroom and swiss to a "big mac" with home made sauce to my personal favorite, what my father has always called a "California Burger", with mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, thinly sliced onions and pickles. The best burgers are made at home, for much less than any restaurant and so good you won't want to have burgers out ever again. I'll often make hand cut oven fries, seasoned with Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, onion and garlic powder, paprika and tossed in olive oil then roasted on a parchment lined sheet pan for 30 minutes at 375 degrees then turned up to 425 degrees for 10 minutes then I turn the fries over and let them go for another 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Delicious, nicely seasoned, crispy fries for about 25 cents/serving. Try it all yourselves and make your home the best burger place in your state while having fun in the kitchen and/or on the grill while saving money. Incidentally, you can easily copy any of these restaurant's burgers at home if you wish, I won't tell ;)
Ever make it to Columbus Ohio. Try Thurman's Cafe'. Doesn't matter which you try. They are all good. Ask for off menu. Famous during the Arnold Classic. Massive burgers to satisfy any taste. also featured on Man vs. Food.
