I bought a different “branded” ceramic blade and every time I put it on my oster fast feeds after a min or so while on everything pops off idk if it’s bc it’s not the andis or I did it incorrectly
For some reason whenever I put on the ceramic blade, the blade is to long and it’s longer than the metal one causing it to cut skin, can someone please help? I’ve tried adjusting the lever and trying to push the metal blade as far as you can.
I zero gapped my fast feeds with the course cutter and it works good only problem is when I open the lever all the way it makes a loud noise any tips to fix that ??
Guillermo Pena I was looking for this comment right here... I bought that same andis ceramic blade and put it on my Topaz aka fast feed and when I open the blade all the way up it hits the side of the lever and completely stops moving... took that out right away... I found the oster ceramic blade on amazon gonna see how that goes
@@mike2323909 was it from the Oster 1A detachable blade? I just ordered a paid fast feeds from Amazon, with the andis coarse ceramic blade along with the double magnetic guards. It seems like there are mixed reviews on the andis ceramic blade…pulling hair…not moving with the adjustment open etc etc. I’m tempted to just cut my hair with the fast feed as is and see how it does before I swap the cutting blade out.
So I bought the ceramic blade and when I put on the guard and turn on the clippers the hit on the side of the guard. Note I have the andis single magnet guard. If I buy the the double magnetic guards will this problem go away?
I’m not sure why it would be hitting the sides. Try and make sure your blade are centered. It sounds like you have the blade to far to one side so I don’t think changing the guard will help
Nevermind, I found and fixed the problem: it is not the ceramic blade that is the problem, but rather its your steel outer blade that needs to be centered with the ceramic blade. Move the outer blade around until it does not hit the guards anymore. Hope this helps.
The Amazon link for the Andis Ceramic Coarse Cutter seems to be price gouging - $52.99 vs. Atlanta Beauty and Barber Supply shows Andis brand at $10.25. I've seen others at perhaps cheaper - in addition to seeing non-Andis at less with some cautionary reviews. I have an Oster (not the 76 or Fast Feed- was a big box residential set - been using 30+ years?) that seems to have just died on me so I just ordered a fast feed. I have very fine blonde & gray "sparseish" hair - I've used a combination of 2, 3, 4 plus the angled combs, then the straight for my neckline for years. As the hair has gotten thinner it's sometimes taken more to cut it and more prone to snaging. I'll admit I didn't oil it regularly. It looks like the ceramic sharper cut notes say it doesn't snag like the stock blade can in my type hair? I also see a medium for less than 0A - with the coarse for 0A and larger. Is that just for very close cutting? I'm trying to understand the differences and what might be best for me.
Just hit up chewy.com bro it's for pets but they sell allot of product barbers can also use..I also just got a fast feed..chewy has the andis ceramic blade for like 9 bucks with shipping it came out to like 16 bucks..🤝

I don't understand why you took the Graybar off when you just put it right back on was that even necessary or should you have just left that thing alone
Alex Torres I’m not sure why they would stop cutting when closed. Does the blade stop moving or do they just pull and snag hair? Is the blade fully set in right?
yeah same thing happened to me, so i held it at a closed position then unscrewed the lever pulled the metal tab for the lever slightly back but enough so that the screw can go backthen rescrewed it back on making sure the lever lined up...follow the guide on youtube channel the barber stable...if that doesn't work youll have to sand a bit off...but luckily i didnt have to sand anything

Ricardo Campos is what supposed to move? It should be just like before just a different cutting blade. The cutting blade should move side to side as normal and the still blade should move forward and back when adjusting the lever

the bar piece puts pressure on the blade to make these cut better.Lost my bar and they wouldnt hardly cut when i realized what the bar was for i cut 2 hard yellow earplugs rolled and stuffed them where the bar used to be now they cut way better then with the bar in because i have more pressure on the blade
Use a OA ceramic Blade and some time u got to file the edges down when u take of the blade there’s 2 curves on each side file those down it will give it more room
Dude, why did you take off that gray bar at the beginning of the video when it needs to be in the clipper before the ceramic blade can be installed? It doesn't make any sense.
I also ran into the problem of the ceramic blade (Andis coarse) not moving when the screws of the fixed blade are tightened fully or the lever is pulled back for longer gap. The problem is that the ceramic blade has a thicker „hump“ in the middle than the stock blade and the metal slide carriage where the fixed blade is screwed in doesn‘t have the perfect alignment, meaning there‘s too much pressure on the ceramic blade and it gets blocked. I helped myself by cutting a strip of paper (100g weight from my printer), put two holes in and installed the fixed blade on the carriage with the paper strip below. Problem solved.
if you want to lose the vibrating noise that it makes when it's open that little bar a peace that metal piece that it sits on pull that away from the clipper clipper is just a little bit it's going to make it tighter to the bigger blade and move twice as fast, ceramic is much lighter then metal there for really bringing these clippers alive
This guy didn’t adjust them properly First u gotta make sure the ceramic blade sits center and straight which is hard but get it very close to straight Put on the guard blade and screw it in make sure it is straight from left to right and make sure when u turn it on the blade isn’t moving far from the edge of the guard blade Then make sure to pull the lever down and up to see if it stays the same Now when u pull the lever all the way open it makes that funny sound, this means u adjusted it wrong and gotta straighten it out more Put the clipper on under a light or something while it’s running so u can see what side of the blade is sticking far out
Complete 🗑 of a product. I tried so many times to align it properly and it looks perfect. Its on the spot and it still makes farting loud as a mfo when I turn it on. I'm returning this shit.
I just purchased the pet and human ceramic blade for my fast feeds. I kid you not they are the exact same. So I returned the one for the humans. The pet one is like 5 dollar's cheaper. Both from Amazon. This blade is king!
corgimas upgrading to ceramic has a few benefits. The blade is sharper and doesn't dull as fast, smoother cutting, the blade doesn't heat up so the blades stay cool and also adding the ceramic blade allows you to zero gap the clipper for a closer cut
What was the point of taking off the grey piece?
