    As a braider I respect it and I use to do yarn twists and braids on my own hair it took me forever I was using the Red Heart Super Saver Yarn I just ordered some Brazilian wool from Amazon in like a Dark Army green color and I can’t wait to see how different the Brazilian wool yarn is compared to the denser Acrylic Red Heart Super yarn

      @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461  5 років тому

      Paballo Mosidi Thank you. Sure, you can do it without burning the ends but you need to knot it tightly and trim the ends neatly

    • @grandmaraps
      @grandmaraps 5 років тому

      I do not knot mine. It'll makes the braids look unatural. I simply feather the braided ends and dip it in hot water. You can also feather the regular yarn with a metal brush for cats.

    • @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461
      @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461  5 років тому +1

      Grandma Raps Of course, it can be feathered but putting few knots to secure the ends won’t make it look unnatural.

    Wow. sorry if this has been asked but can this yarn be curled with heat or is it the usual water heat method?(dip in hot water with roller on). This is beautiful. I clicked because the braids look just like regular synth hair braids. Wow. I do wonder if the hair is itchy.

    • @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461
      @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461  4 роки тому +2

      It’s okay 😊 yes, it can be curled with hot water not heat. Also this yarn is lighter than normal synthetic hair and can be washed anytime so it’s not itchy. Thanks for watching

      Ok good good. I had watched several videos on this yarn and i am amazed. It really does look like synth hair wow. Never knew this. It seems like only foreign persons do this since the videos i have clicked all the women had African/island accents? I should be able to find it easily here in America just fine tho.

      The wool she's using is actually acrylic, but it's been softened up, it's just called wool. Hope that help.

    • @powerpuff4ever
      @powerpuff4ever 3 роки тому +1

      Like the person above said, this is an acrylic yarn that’s made in a way that presents a different texture. You don’t want to use real wool in your hair because it will try to bind to your hair

    Hi, thanks for sharing your technique. When you open the package of yarn, how long are the pieces and how do you measure it for the braids? And when you are done, can you dip it in hot water or do you burn the ends? Thank you!

    • @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461
      @olahairessenceandlifestyle9461  5 років тому +4

      Evett Tucker Hi Evett, I will make a video of how to measure and prepare the yarn for braids. Of course you can dip the hair in hot water but you need to burn the ends to secure the hair. You can’t just dip it in hot water as you would with synthetic braiding hair, you have to tie the ends then burn to secure it properly and go ahead to dip it in hot water if that is what you want, as you can see I didn’t dip mine in hot water and it came out beautiful 😊
