I need to make my own yarn braids tutorial like tou and show how it's really done! Yarn braids are versatile, easy, light weight, and cheaper than using synthetic hair. It will not frey and damage your hair. My opinion....it grew my hair and I wore them for 6 months straight and it never locked or matted. It still looked good as if I just done them. Yarn is the way to go ladies!
Okay so I want my hair like Maxine from Living Single and I thought she just had synthetic hair they’re actually yarn braids. I like how full it makes the braids look.
@@venessatalbert9232 aww thank you. I am new to Alabama but I’ve been messaging stylist to see if they can do them. Someone should be able to do them out here.
My hair is in yarn twists. I thought I’d like them super skinny so I tried one strand per twist. When I wore them a little thicker I got complements every where I went. This style I think I got maybe 2 compliments and that’s only after I’d complemented them. Today I got an idea, I bought fabric softener so I’ll post on my channel to let y’all know if it works. In Kohl’s today, my twists looked like yarn 🧶! When they were fatter people thought they were real locs. Guess you gotta try stuff to know if it works 🙂.
it looks more natural/ like real locs the rougher it gets lol. My suggestion would be to keep no protective style in longer than 10 weeks. Re wrap pieces when your hair is exposed/not covered at the root when you feel is needed.
People actually grow out locs using the yarn, you can keep these in for years my friend now had dread locs in for 4 years starting off with yarn and retwisting the hair
Please do not do that! Yarn is made from acrylic and it will become extremely heavy. Squeezing water out of them is a bitch! Only use water on your hand and run your hand thru the braids dampening them to soften and straighten.
@@teamkeys3339 Yes they're light weight and grows my hair like crazy too. I was saying that when they're wet they are heavy and hard to dry from squeezing out water. I learned that the hard way. Nevertheless, I love them and will never wear synthetic hair again! Glad to see someone else likes them just like I do! Great minds think alike!😏

Going back you look like lauryn hill.
How many packs of yarn you use....
2 packs
how many braids did you have around your head?
I am not sure but I believe over 50 braids.
I got 2 try thiz
Love this! How did you get it into that bomb look?
I braided each braid to the bottom of my neck. That kept each braid the same length.
How much yarn did you use?
2-3 spools of yarn.
How long did this take you to finish?
It took me a week because I would work on a section for a day. I really took my time with it. Sorry for the delayed response.
Very nice! How long did this hair last you before getting rough?

How many bulks of yarn did you use?
About 2-3 bulks of yarn.
where can I find yarn
I usually get it at Jo-Ann Fabrics or Walmart. Try Amazon also if you cannot find it in the stores.
Dip them in hot water for a very flat look.

@@venessatalbert9232 Ive been wearing them for over 8 years and never had a problem. My hair grows like crazy. I guess everyone is different.
My braids are very light. Not heavy at all.

😍😍😍👍
how many yarns do i need for my whole hair?
I usually use about 2-3pks.
I thought u were gonna show how u dd it from scatch
Won't the yarn take your hair out?
No. If I braided it too tight on my edges it would come out, as if with any other braids, but other than that, the yarn did not take out any hair.
no thats a show n tell not a tutorial
How long did this take you?
Because I took my time it took me a couple of days. But if I don't take breaks it takes me about 12hrs
@@ruthpoucha Thank you.
