Yes i did mine EXACTLY how she showed it. The WHOLE thing. Couldn't believe it. Lol. But now i see what it is with the second one. Braid it 3-4x then grab. 3-4 times then grab.
Every time I tell a black person in conversation that I can’t cornrow I feel a hint of black shame. So during this fine black history month I have decided to do my people proud and learn🤣🧍🏾♀️
Not you just showed me how to cornrow and it worked!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭 ma’am???! Do you know how much a money you’re about to save me???! And hair growth I’m about to have???!! Thank you soooo much sister!!!
Yall got me excited because I went natural recently and I was literally looking for hairstyles I can do without braiding but I’m about to do this ! I’m excited because of yall comments lol
To think that i just watched this video in 2023 i have actually been having issues with cornrows now i see my mistake, i tried again last night keeping in mind the don’t you mention and i was able to make my cornrows tight and strong on first trial.Thank you so much you make it look seamless❤
You have taught me in less than 9 minutes how to braid and what I was doing wrong! This is the BEST tutorial for actual beginners who tried but keep failing seriously
@@EButta71 they came out really well, I'd rate them an 8/10 I practiced two more times especially with getting neat parts and as per now my cornrows look like they've been done by a pro 😌
This was indeed the best cornrow tutorial that I didn't know I needed. Hands down. You showed the exact steps I needed including how to start the braid and the fact that it was so clear And easy to follow I think I'm way more confident trying this out my next wash day lol I might even try it on my BF hair 😂😂😂😂 thank you so much for this!! Keep up the great work 🎉❤
Best tutorial I've seen in quite a while. Quickly giving the instructions without saying a word, also having the sensibility to also provide easy listening music and providing the perfect camera angle!! Great Job👏🏾💕💕👏🏾
I came back to say thank you so much!!! I have braided my foundation for my wig for the first time yall im sitting here crying a bad stylist ain’t getting ish from me now 😅😂😂😂😂
As a man and having shoulder length hair I’ve mastered how to two strand flat twist like crazy but ONLY because I just could never get down pat braiding, but now that I’m on my journey of not smoking weed I have all the time and space to finally learn and get RAW AT IT!!!😭 thank you Queen
You're very skilled to be able to show us how to do it badly and how to do it well. The "don't" side is EXACTLY how I've been doing it. It is so helpful to see what I've been doing wrong and why/how. And then to see how to do it right. Thank you!!!
This was brilliant and straightforward. I've been plaiting hair since I was about 9 or 10 years old (yes, that includes plaiting my dolls' hair 😂🤣) but I never really put too much thought into the process. I just did. It's good to learn techniques. Thank you for sharing! I actually do the first style when I'm in a rush and just want to slap my wig on and get out of the house. But you are right, it doesn't last long. However, I've also been avoiding the second method because my scalp breaks out into very painful bumps when I do my cornrows properly, like that. I think it's due to the tension (though I don't even make them that tight). I also noticed that even if I do two big plaits, I still get bumps if it's done more like style 2. I'm trying to find a happy middle ground where it's not too tight but also not too loose, but I'm yet to perfect that 😅
Thank you so much! It makes so much more sense now, all the conrow videos i kept seeing only mention how to position your hands and feed, but i already knew how to do that based on feeling how my mom braided my hair. But i always wondered why my hair turned out, loose, flat and fuzzy, and this made so much sense!
Wow, I undid my hair after 6 months today, and surprisingly, it somewhat thrived for being knotted that long. Also, it's ironic that this video was on my page. I am not good at cornrows. Thanks for teaching me. I will practice.
Wow I was doing every darn MISTAKE....No wonder I could never get those Cornrows....I'm an expert NOW....Thanks 4 ur detailed tutorial & showing us the Correct Way!!!!
I’ve been struggling with braiding my hair since having my second daughter.. like I forgot how. My braids were the Don’t for so long I almost gave up. Thank you! I just did the best braids I’ve ever done!!
My girl just diagnosed and gave a treatment plan for the issue I had with doing these myself. I was doing ALL the wrong things and wondering why my hair looked a mess!! Thank you do much for sharing these!!
Thank you soooooo much❤️ your video help me perfect my cornrows because I knew I was doing something wrong just didn’t know what, you described it so well and after doing your method my braids came out much neater and tighter
This is soooo helpful. I’ve been doing my own wig braids lately and they have always been like the don’ts braid. Looking forward to trying the new technique tomorrow! 🙌🏾
Great video. Really helpful. It's amazing that it has taken so long for me to see all the mistakes, I've been making. My cornrows always look terrible, so I end up, covering it with headwraps. I will save this video and give your helpful tips a try. 👍🏾
I have been called out because my cornrows definitely looked like the what not to do side. I’m so happy that I came across this video. Now I need to learn how to do clean and even parts then you won’t be able to tell me anything lol
I was the first cornrow , absolutely terrible and it sucked cause I never figured out why they were so bad! Thanks for the simple explanation and straight to the point with a bit of humour too ❤️
I have never been on this channel before and I came across this to learn how to corn roll again. I forgot from my childhood once I became a grown woman thank you. This really helped me to get back to something I have forgotten about.
The first one is how I used to do my cornrows but I downloaded this video just yesterday and with my first trial I was able to do the second one tight and strong, I also parted my hair into to and was amble to do that too. Thank you so much👏👏❤️❤️
I have NEVER been able to French braid! I’ve done some version of a French braid, but it’s always super loose (which I didn’t mind because I was crocheting hair anyway), but my styles never last too long. And it takes FOREVER to braid ( 3ish hrs for like 8-10 braids) I’m getting through these sooooooo quickly now 😭I appreciate you more than you know!!!!!!!!!
Very helpful video. I'm trying to learn and my cornrows keep looking like the don't.😩 I didn't know to start like you showed. Now I have better info to keep in mind. Best tutorial I've seen yet. ❤
Awesome job demonstrating the correct technique without talking and being distracting! But could you show how to end the braid tightly? At the end it seems you flip over hand instead of underhand to finish the tail of the braid and can braid faster and tighter to the end!
I just saw this video today, 12/28/23 and I agree with many of the comments. It is top notch. I had to teach myself how to cornrow my own hair. I could never get the beginning of the cornrow in the front of my air to be tight enough and it always seemed to actually start a lot further back than I wanted it too, like the first cornrow you did. I've watched other videos of people cornrowing their hair but nothing like this video. I am so greatful for this knowledge and I thank you for sharing it with us. You just never know what a person needs and how you can be a blessing in their life. Thank you again
Vert helpful and detailed 👌
The 1st one is how I used to do mine🤣 anh yep they don't last at all

my boyfriend asked me for cornrows and i was so scared but they came out so clean i can't thank you enough saved my whole relationship lmao 😭😭💗
