Build a variable speed powered turntable and mount the laser on a fixed adjustable arm. Set it up and let it revolve the part until those sections are cleaned, move it over and repeat. You could be doing something else while its cleaning... having a beer, etc. :D
So with the smoke rising, besides breathing and wearing the smoke not good for you, the smoke damages the lens. Shouldn’t you just have a fan to the side blowing the air across the work piece and smoke goes away from you and the gun?

I've seen guys walk out the shop like they walked out volcano from all the shards rust left on the from grinding. This looks clean and affective, over time it will definitely bring more then 8k and you maintained cleanliness. Time is money imagine all the time your save in prep and cleaning after!

if you want to reduce replacing the front glass, don't zap the work piece are 90° and reduce the chance of crud bouncing back at the unit.

Just did a little calculation. If you were to use it for say 8 hours every single day that would come out to around 34 years of use
