The surface is smooth so no need for sanding. The lines you see are the patterning from the pulse of the laser. A clean surface free of patterning can be had with additional passes.
Can we see the lazer clean a complete object from start to finish I was hoping they would have done the whole engine case. no one is showing how loud the machines are why extra fans are needed (cause if smoke or dirt gets on the lense it will break and need replaced) why you cannot clean glass with it I can see this being used to degrease (burn dirt off things before dryice perhaps like a primary secondary stage) looking forward to the next one

I noticed on the casing there appears to be small ridges left by the laser. Does that need to be sanded down for a smooth surface?
