Now(because I can) I'm getting a Henry Golden Boy because the Henry Octagon Frontier was out of stock. I'm sure I'll have fun shooting it. Why limit yourself to just one, and the Golden Boy will go into the collection of the many(I wish I could say several) 22LR rifles I have. Bolt action, lever action and auto, they are all fun. The fact that I'm older now, and can have more that one sure plays a factor though.

If you're thinking a .22 Henry, can't go wrong with either the Classic or Golden Boy. They both function the exact same, it's really just a matter of personal preference of the gun's appearance. If you don't mind the way the Classic looks, go for it, it's cheaper. If you want the nice brass frame, the Golden Boy ain't that much more expensive. Both are great rifles.

@@austinjohnson6982 so I consider 325, 500, 525, 555 round boxes for say under $20 as bulk/cheap ammo. to hit on your other question of paying $10 for 50... or even $20 for 50, in most cases that is higher match grade ammunition that makes a profound and noticeable different when you are talking competition. so there is a reason for it, olympic champions for example do not shoot bulk/cheap junk. now, that said, if you are going to shoot cans in the back pasture, yup, just go cheap/bulk, for sure

it all just depends... some folks are fine with the plain jane, some folks want all the extras... same with cars, washing machines and anything else. i do think kept nice, a golden boy, even the plain ones, will hold value better than a classic BUT if you are wanting a fun little shooter... the odds of keeping it nice are probably low. so why not just stick with the classic and have fun.
@@CloverTac yea I get ya. So basically its a chrome finish and a bit more barrel and that's it I'm guessing. Either way my classic one is lots of fun to shoot. One day I may upgrade. Both guns are worth it for what you get in my opinion. If you told me the internals where higher quality as well as the exterior I would be tempted to trade in my classic so I could get a golden boy.
i haven't really noticed much different (other than looks) between my two. the trigger might be just a little better and the lever a little smoother (out of the box) on the Texas Edition but not by much... especially after you use the classic a bunch
Well we know who has all the money buying them high dollar Henry's. And buying high dollar plywood just to shoot it up. There's people going through hurricanes that would love to have that plywood 😆🤣😂 Awesome video clover 🍀👏 . I am wanting to get a Henry 22 frontiers with a 24" barrel.
so first off, in what freaking world would i actually shoot this Texas rifle if i paid for it? that was a stipulation of the T&E, which sorta sucks. second, you obviously have not been following my range woes with plywood over the last several months. it is all chewed up and can't afford to replace it, so i have cardboard stapled over the big huge holes. i wish it was as you claim but revenue and funds are total garbage right now, thankful for what little is coming in sure, but it sucks. that is why i started a baseball card channel, trying to do some things that might help keep the firearm stuff going.
Lol 😆🤣😂
The hood is removable for us that don’t want it on the front sight.
correct
Wow seems the original Henry is the winner and the GBT it’s beautiful but his performance not so good against the Original Henry you bought it for looks but not for Performance Great video
eh, they are pretty close to the same, the sights on the GB are a bit different and i have never been able to get used to that style.
I have a question... I am getting my first gun probably soon, maybe next month I know I am getting a Henry.. stuck on which one I should get.
The buttstock of the classic feels much better on your shoulder than the curved metal.
I only hit thumbs up for the accent.
whatever works i guess 🤣😂
I love .22's & lever action rifles = I had to get Goldenboy!
With that said it's a fun o'l time shooting. Time to do the penny test & Shoot penny's!!
yeah that is always fun, thanks for the comment
For some reason I can never find them afterwards.🤔
Henry 22 Golden boy first gun I got and first gun I shot a roo with
Iron sight
Love them
wow! that is pretty cool, most folks do not start out on something nearly as nice. thanks for sharing
Bling or no bling ...that is the question.
valid 🤣😂
I don't know why one would be better than the other. Sure the Golden Boy is prettier but I don't know why one would shoot better than the other.
octagonal barrel vs regular, minor differences is sights, comb height.... there are a few things. end of the day, it was a question used to make a video to showcase two rifles, not much more ❤
@@CloverTac well I have 2 golden boys 22lr. And 22 mag
.also have a regular Henry 22 lever action and a 22 pump Henry. As for as I'm concerned I don't really think there is a difference. But that is just me.
@@CloverTac have you ever used peep sights before.
i have skinner alaskan peeps on my Henry 30-30 actual videos on the channel documenting that. i do not do well at all with a semi buckhorn sight. as for the differences... well, you are right, people have opinions. i don't think i really made one here, just posed the question and let people sorta figure out what they think from there. i did send up letting go of my classic a few months back, definitely kept the Texas one, being a Texan, just cannot ever part with that one for sure. 🤣😂
@@CloverTac I understand. I'm going to try the peep sights just haven't got them yet. Thanks for the info.and your opinion.

Do you have the hat that your wearing for sale?
yeah but right now i only have them in the neon blue, not green. and, until i sell out, since i only make a couple bucks per cap, i don't have the funds for another order. you can keep tabs on them over at clovertac.com. just scroll down and there is a link to the store, everything in stock should show up. when i re order, i usually do black, neon green, neon blue, neo orange and neon pink.
Thanks I will by a few hats when they are ready I will like /ring your youtube channel. Thanks!
roger that. my revenue streams are picking up, they are HORRIBLE during the summer months... of course now I am saving for SHOT Show 2023 but, hopefully i can just break down and order some more in the next few weeks or so.
Amo….What ever is on sale…They all do the same thing….We’ll almost😜
now days... whatever you can find 🤣😂
@@CloverTac After watching your demineralization I purchased a Henry 22 classic, Thanks.
@@joetrombatore5704 don't blame me 🤣😂
Wow that was a waist off time
apparently you still had enough time to comment, so thank you, helps keep YT serving up this video. ❤
What ever is bulk and cheap
serious question or are you just being sarcastic?
@@CloverTac honest to God dead serious
@@austinjohnson6982 so I consider 325, 500, 525, 555 round boxes for say under $20 as bulk/cheap ammo. to hit on your other question of paying $10 for 50... or even $20 for 50, in most cases that is higher match grade ammunition that makes a profound and noticeable different when you are talking competition. so there is a reason for it, olympic champions for example do not shoot bulk/cheap junk. now, that said, if you are going to shoot cans in the back pasture, yup, just go cheap/bulk, for sure
In the beginning, he complaine about his noisy neighbor,
um that was not complaing, that was just letting people know 😂🤣 i don't even bother saying anything anymore, haven't in a while. if there is noise, bugs, whatever, oh well, not much i can do about it anyway. thing is my neighbors are all family. and oddly enough, seems they wait until i am on the range filming before they decide to brugh hog, dig holes with the backhoe, etc.
M39 better then both
marlin model 39?
@@CloverTac Yep
@@walksfletcher i like my old 39 alright, big marlin fan overall... only way to get a new 39 now day, to my knowledge is a $3K custom shop rifle... a bit pricey
@@CloverTac Buy a used one. Still better then any pot metal henry
@@walksfletcher i don't gotta buy one at all thankfully, but i am not gonna kick the henry's out o bed either, plenty of room in my stable for all of em LOL
I want my click back! These are not Henry vacuum cleaners! -Grumbles-
yet you waste time to comment 🤣😂
I have a question... I am getting my first gun probably soon, maybe next month I know I am getting a Henry.. stuck on which one I should get.
which ones are you looking at or interested in?
@@CloverTac hey sorry I just saw this I’m so sorry and I kept doing research. Thank you for answering. I kept doing the research and I like the octagon barrel the sights is what got me though, so I got the Henry goldenboy
