Glad I saw this video. When I read “Kenmore Connect” on my washer & dryer (came with our house we recently purchased), I tried to connect them to the Kenmore Smart App(only one that exists for Kenmore) and it wouldn’t work. Turns out it is some 10 year old technology no longer available and not a SMART feature at all. Damn
Pay no attention to the person who said you committed a felony by recording this. You are perfectly within your rights to record your own conversations with anyone. You do not have to notify them. The law is pretty clear, as long as one of the two parties knows the conversation is being recorded (in this case you) you are ok.
You didn't let him know you were recording him? You did this over state lines. You just committed a felony. I suggest deleting this before the wrong people find out.

Unfortunately Kenmore has discontinued this service of troubleshooting over the phone. They now simply schedule a repair service.
