Ngl I started playing brew master to tackle higher layers of torgast solo & this guide has given me further insight to carry on doing torgast, I don't think I'd join lfg unless I knew 100% of what I'm doing in each instance
I’m guilty of the screen flash/brew smash. I come from FF14 where I played dragoon. So I decided monk was the class for me since there is so much evasion along with decent dps. But I just hate the wind spec. Thanks for the tips
How do brewmasters cause threat? Are there any abilities, active or passively, that cause threat besides provoke? What prevents another player from pulling aggro off you?
All of the monk's offensive abilities will cause threat, it is built into the specialization. Kegsmash, Breath of Fire, Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, Spinning Crane Kick, and any Talents you might take that cause damage. Provoke acts like a reset on threat to put you on the top if someone else has aggro.
No way! And it was only normal difficulty, with a fairly highly geared Monk tank. They don't really do enough damage to get through my azerite/self healing.
You haven’t mentioned or explained that expel harm ability stacks! Most iv seen it stack up to is 3 for a big heal! But I don’t know why or what causes it to stack up? Can someone explain?
Hey good call! Gift of the Ox is a passive ability that creates the healing spheres sometimes when you take damage. You can move through them for healing, or pull them in with expel harm.
@@Treran I understand that. But when a sphere spawns it doesn’t stack up on the expel harm spell! So what trigger’s the stack on the spell? When Iv done low level dungeon I didn’t get the stack! Iv only started noticing it stack around +5 plus mythic dungeons and up!
The spheres are the only thing that causes expel harm to stack. If you're max lvl and doing low lvl dungeons you're probably not being hit enough to actually proc one. So in a higher dungeon you'll be getting hit more often. Also there's currently an azerite trait "Boiling Brew" which causes breath of fire damage to sometimes proc healing spheres as well.
I forgot to mention Touch of Death, which is mostly a damage cooldown. But the damage done will reduce your stagger some.
Incredibly informative video. In under 6 minutes you have done more than most guides do in 30-45. Thanks so much man, take my sub.
Excellent guide, most people just go over talents when doing a guide, it is great to see one on how to play.
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
It's been supid hard finging a video that describes Monk tanking. Thanks, you're awesome!
Man this is exactly the quick video I needed to get started with brewmaster spec, I wish it had more views. Thank you
Glad you found some value in my video! I'm still super new to UA-cam, the algorithm and I are still getting to know each other lol. Thank you though.

Thanks for the video just switched to brewmaster for SL dropping my DK tank...
Have fun! Have you decided on a Covenant yet?
Maybe I’m just stupid, but how can you solo a dungeon?

Rextroy is soloing raid bosses when it's still current expansion hehe
Is brewmaster good in PvP
nice and concise
Thank you!

And it doesn’t happens all the time! I can’t find anywhere on the internet why it stacks up

@@Treran ahh ok! Iv only noticed the stack in the last day or two! I’ll have another game play tonight and looks closer at it! Thanks
Thanks
You're welcome!
I wish monks were more .... my ~aesthetic~.
Not so much drinking, smashing things, and lighting it on fire?
Gnome monks report in
Sadly you're the only one.
@@Treran Everyone will remember that
