Sansa is usually an unappreciated character. She was a young girl trying to stay live in the 'Lion's Den'.

I didn't even notice when she became my favorite character until it had already happened. I realized I was just waiting for the next scene where she gets say or do something awesome. Before that happened, I said things like, "I want to be Arya, but I know I'm really Sansa." Now I'm not so bummed about that. I love the different types of power displayed in GoT.

So is Arya but she has never behaved like an entitled spoilt brat. Yeah, I get it, Sansa was groomed to be a "lady" whilst Arya was allowed to be a bit of a tom boy. I have read the Sansa chapters many times and I still find few redeeming qualities even though she arguably has a worse time in the books.

I'm glad you noticed and appreciated how Sansa saved Ser Dontos ❤
I love how she just couldn't help but object, and then manages to think on her feet, not just once, but twice! ("It would be bad luck to kill a man on your nameday" and "He'd make a much better fool than a knight").
Thank you for your words on mental health ❤

    Jake, awesome reaction and outro.
I am so glad to have found your channel.❤
See you are really getting to know the names of the characters and noticing the new places on the map.
Nooticing tthe detail like Melisandre necklace Red Glow..I can't recall maybe 1 or 2 other reactors that notice that detail off rip.
Obviously "King" Stannis Maester didn't agree with the buring of the 7 Statues/Idols of The Gods and basically the incoming New Religious Culture.
Noticing "Ros" is now The Madame of Littlefinger Bothel another awesome catch.
Yep Joffrey is a Monster and we all see this because the actor is doing such an awesome job.
The actoring, dialogne, soundtrack and cinematography have always been why I keep rewarching.
You are doing an awesome job Sweet Summer Child.❤ Be safe😊

This episode is well constructed, it is a blow to Littlefinger and Cersei's egos, showing where the power really lies. In the end, Cersei's lesson served herself.

Ahhh the Baratheon themed music at the end of the eppy..
Robb and the actor who portrays him, Richard Madden, is perfection in every syllable of his delivery..

So the comet is... interesting. There are a ton of theories about it, both in-world and in the Fandom. The basics, with no spoilers, are, the red comet has appeared before, kinda like Halley's Comet, but without the predictable schedule. It showed up some years ago, in Rhaegar's time, and supposedly was the harbinger of the Long Night thousands of years ago. Beyond that, you'll have to investigate on your own once you know the story.
And thanks again for the wonderful message at the end. We need emotional openness and honesty as individuals and as a society, as much as we can get. "Be the change you want to see in the world," and all that. Take care, and I'll see you on the next one.

    Here we go!
    - Who sent the comet? - You got a taste of that in-universe: everyone interprets it in different ways and for different reasons. As of right now? We don't know. It just appeared.
    - Someone k*** this guy. (Craster) - That's an interesting way of treating someone who has welcomed you into their home. However despicable they might be.
    - Doesn't seem too bad, they're just burning some effigies. - Imagine someone burning statues of Jesus to signify their apostasy. Imagine the effect of seeing that on others who still follow the religion. It's... pretty major.
    - Robert's bastards: now that the parentage of Joffrey and the other royal children is "out there", there are some who might argue that Robert's bastards have a better claim to the throne than Cersei's children. So... what's the best way to nip that in the bud?
    - Littlefinger and Cersei: yes, she was referencing his crush on Catelyn Stark.
This was a very "introductory" episode, setting up a lot for the season. Looking forward to your thoughts on Stannis and the rest.
Happy to answer any other questions, spoiler-free!

In the Cersei and Little Finger ‘power’ demonstration, I was waiting for Cersei to order the soldiers to hop on one foot and make monkey sounds 😂
Sansa, the little dove, is in ‘school’ now
    Renley is in Storm’s End
Great reaction as usual…can’t wait to watch more with you 🤩

  • @alancarter41

Excellent reaction. Interesting episode in many ways. The fact there are now Five self proclaimed kings means forging alliances will be difficult and gives the other house tremendous power in choosing sides. If Stanis had 100,000 men, that is far more than the others vying for the Iron Throne. It appears Robb had around 20,000, Lannister has less than 60,000 after their defeats. No mention of how many Renly or Mance Rayder have. Rayder would have to travel far to the south to be effective, but obviously there are ways around the wall as shown by Osha. And the potential sixth player, Daenerys, had 40,000 but now they are splintered between several Khals. So who will make the right political and military moves. interesting times.

Tywin didn’t give Tyrion the position because he trusts him. It’s because he’s a Lannister so it’s status and because Joffrey will torment him. He doesn’t like Tyrion but he has to claim him and keep the family name status

    • @alancarter41
      @alancarter41 Місяць тому

I feel that is not entirely correct. Tywin is all about family and protecting the heritage and future. He saw what a mess Joffrey was making and that Cersei could not control him. As he bluntly stated, he was to "bring that boy king to heel and his mother too." He knows only a Lannister could do that, and Tyrion is the only one available. I do agree he does not like him and feels he is a drunken skirt chaser.

@@alancarter41 he doesn’t like him because he’s a little person and killed his wife

    • @alancarter41
      @alancarter41 Місяць тому

@@sarahkrig6375 I think it is more than that. Tywin expects his children to advance the family. Go back and listen to his speech to Jaime, everything is about the family and it's legacy. He is disappointed in Jaime because he has squandered his life and not done anything to help the family, a guilt Tyrion shares and is compounded by his spending all his time drinking and womanizing.
