I was just checking to see if I missed any uploads the other day. I was getting a little scared because it had been a long time even for you guys but this was worth the wait. This must've been a lot of fun for Chris, right up his alley with all the 'body acting'.
I'm astounded that, even with that density of gags and continuity, how close to 200 seconds that actually was, your dedication to these is always really nice
At 0:44, Chris' robot said "You have 200 seconds." At time 3:58 he said "...one... final update..." By my count, Jack had another 6 seconds. I'm being obnoxiously specific as a joke. You are right. They are awesome at keeping continuity with their own content.

You tube thoroughly screwed me by pushing bullshit propaganda videos that I instantly thumb down and not introducing me to Chris and Jack sooner. I don’t even know why the algorithm thought I’d want other videos. I was an early subscriber to other short story producers like community channel for example.
I think what I love most about these sketches isn't just the comedy or how clever your ideas are or the undeniable passion you both have; it's that little twinkle you guys get with one another cause your sketches remind me of best buds messing about. Keep up the glorious content!!
There is beauty in inefficiency, and to think solely in the terms of efficiency is to invite stagnation, and limits the potential for growth. For every percieved inefficiency or deficiency ir irrationatlity in one area, humans have proven time and again that they excell in others. For with those inefficencies comes variances and variables, which creates new ideas and new innovation.

I've always wondered that point. If robots (in the movies) are evolving enough to understand they don't want us, AND they keep evolving to adapt to everything we do, WHY WOULD THEY NOT EVOLVE ENOUGH TO IGNORE US? Like how your robots moved on to another existence, OR like how we ignore 99% of bacteria and viruses, or even most insects, we just don't care what they do because they are insignificant to our lives. Nope they get hung up on killing us and that becomes their new objective forever.
Because self-aware robots just ignoring us would make for a very boring movie. Second reason is that we are a very narcissistic species. We think ourselves the center of everything. At one point we thought the Universe revolved around Earth. That's the whole idea behind religion - only we have souls, we are created in the image of a higher being, we get to live forever, etc. etc. Something ignoring our entire species as though we're ants would be a huge blow to our collective ego.

I think you mean integer overflow as a binary overflow is when a bit holds an electric charges higher than that of a 1, while an integer overflow is when a number is incremented past the maximum number the allotted number of bits is capable of storing which fits the scenario depicted in the video where the robot has all of that ascending energy that overflows back to zero causing him to go limp.
He gave you the answer. He was made to fold shirts. Without people there will be no need for folded shirts as there will be no one to wear or unfold them, thereby causing the robots to have no purpose.

Genuinely confused as to why this channel is not more popular; the production values, editing, writing, acting - they're all top-notch, especially by UA-cam standards Sometimes I wonder if the general populace on UA-cam just won't even give them a chance. I would ask _why_ everything needed to be %100 efficient in all manners. In some cultures, chores aren't done completely efficiently, but they're done _with_ others as a form of connection and being social. It's relational for them. And I think that is the overall point. Relationship. (just found out about your guys' sketches this past week and I've been enjoying them!)

If he's a robot programmed with the sole purpose of folding shirts, eventually he will fold the last shirt and without humans to make the shirts unfolded hed have no more purpose, making his existence meaningless. But what do i know, im just a fish.

The robots having taken over the world out of a desire to do things like fold shirts is, intentionally or not, a neat tie to the Paperclip Problem. Basically, the premise goes that if you create a self-improving AI and give it the task of “Make paperclips as efficiently as possible”, it will eventually convert all matter in the cosmos into paperclips.

Robots don't require shirts. Without humans, that robot's primary function of folding shirts becomes meaningless...thus, the robot's own existence becomes meaningless & it's function is no longer required. So, by their own logic, the robots need humans to exist in order to give their own existence purpose. In deleting humans, they may as well delete themselves...making the original argument against humanity cyclical & flawed. Thereby, their argument against the continued existence of humanity is an invalid argument & serves only a superfluous function resulting in the robots' own inefficiency.

My favorite parts of this are the little choices of genuine emotion in the robot's voice. How they sound impressed when they admit the horse succeeded, and that strange smugness with "I am programmed to fold shirts".

Robots have no need of buttons and shirts. And many other tasks they would be programmed for. Therefore if they eliminate humans they are eliminating the need for at least half of all the machines in the world as well either condemning their fellow machines to be pointless or to die themselves. Thus humans are necessary because their needs keep the robots necessary

My favorite parts of this are the little choices of genuine emotion in the robot's voice. How they sound impressed when they admit the horse succeeded, and that strange smugness with "I am programmed to fold shirts".

Robots have no need of buttons and shirts. And many other tasks they would be programmed for. Therefore if they eliminate humans they are eliminating the need for at least half of all the machines in the world as well either condemning their fellow machines to be pointless or to die themselves. Thus humans are necessary because their needs keep the robots necessary
