HOO BOY, IT'S DONE! Well, as done as it can be, sparing some mistakes here and there. But despite everything, I'm proud of this. This is my first real animatic, so I hope you enjoy it! I’m gonna be honest, the routine is galaxies funnier with the animation. Pure Perfection.
The audio is from 1938. And people are still making animatics of it. Legendary comedy routine.
If only people put that much thought into comedy nowadays... :D
Someone recently watched rainman
That’s why it called timeless.
Which is ironically a vast improvement over all the so called New Age new stuff that really doesn’t last long.
Like how most new TV shows are lucky to last one or two seasons.
Or how recent movies don’t really stay popular for that many years.
Still shots of simple black lines on a white background giving life to one of the funniest skits ever done in the realms of comedy has done so much good for my soul. Outstanding job~!!
The best part of both this animatic and the original sketch is when they both shout 3RD BASE!!!!

the choreography and gestures in this is absolutely incredible, the part where the tall guy gets up and gestures around matches the conversation so well!!!! i dont even know who these characters are but im in love with your animation
I think the reason he jumped her at the end is because he either finally got it, or he was just fed up.
I'm pretty sure he was fed up.
THIS IS SO GOOD!! All their little expressions between them yelling at each other are next level. IS THIS THE CHARACTER ACTING I'VE HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT?!? It's fantastic. THANK YOU OM FOR THIS GIFT OF USING OUR BOYS IN THIS ANIMATIC. It's perfect.
Really expressive on the animatic, especially the guy as Costello losing his crap, even grabbing the girl's arm when Costello says "I'll break your arm if you say Who's on first!" at the 2:46 mark.

The routine was funny enough on its own, but you made it timeless!
The fluid animation, the character designs, and expressions are superb!

My favorite part is the facial expressions.
Especially for the big bulky guy.
His increasing loss of sanity and DEcreasing patience combined with his explosive temper nearly made me bust a gut!
Almost a hundred years old and this comedy routine is STILL brilliant. XD

My immediate question is whos bright idea was it to have all these players assigned in this one, convoluted game, but we all know Who's only job is to be on First.
God, the animation makes this ten times funnier, how animated and expressive the characters are and bounce off each other, it's amazing!
Perfect art style, perfect animation style, perfect character design, perfect audio. That’s it everybody we finished UA-cam we can all go home
You know by the time the short stop comes up wouldn't you crave a bit of violence too?
After reading the comic, I feel like Glad is just trying to make Cicada lose his mind by telling him a bunch of phony-baloney names.
God, the work that went into making sure the drawings matched the fast energy of the dialogue is so clear in the final product. I cannot stop myself from smiling while watching this, it's a triumph.
Every time I listen to this, I imagine them saying normal names so I can understand what this sounds like to the first guy.
"Micheal's on first?"
"Yes."
"All I'm trying to find out is John's the guy's name on first base."
"No John's on second."
This is criminally underrated
