Then maybe after like a decade, after youve tried to kill yourself so many times you dont even pretend to care about anything and honestly you are just hoping that some ridculous horrible thing you do actually ends the loop just so you can know the sweet nothingness of death.

You know, looking back at this sketch, it makes sense that he hadn’t finished his novel considering he would have had to write the entire thing within a single day.
He could however write a few chapters per day, then the next day write the next few chapters, until eventually he knew how to write the entire book. Most of the time in writing a book is due to things other than writing - if you know the entire thing by heart and could just write non-stop without thinking about it you could probably write it all out in a few days once you're out of the loop.
I think my favorite part of this is that he's obviously lived through this exact conversation countless times (up until the miboop) and he still doesn't get tired of showing off all the skills he acquired to his friend.
Maybe he learned that showing his friend tricks is the faster way to get him to drop his guard, and this was the also the right choice because of its longer dialogue tree.

I was stunned about Chris learning all these tricks for a sketch but then I remembered he is part of Blue Man group and his first career was literally being a juggler.
It's always fun to think of what you would do as a time loop dragged on and on. I think being trapped in a time loop would be much much worse than being immortal, because eventually you WOULD run out of things to do, but there will always be that tantalizing promise of a potential future sitting right in front of you.
