I have absolutely enjoyed watching your videos the last few days. My husband is not keen on getting a campervan however, for the past three years I’ve been studying all about them, and rented a few, and so far so good. We’re in Seattle, from seal beach, so watching your videos makes me miss home in California a lot. I think this campervan will be my hobby, and my husband has his racing cars as his. It would be fun to do together though. I love how you gather all kinds of amazing ideas from everyone. I’ve made notes. Thank you.
Thanks. Yep. Van life isn’t for everyone but I applaud you for following your dream. There are groups you can join for solo women travelers that may be of interest.
Thank you for all the great organizational tips and ideas (my Amazon cart is FULL!). We just purchased a 2008 Pleasure Way and are brand new to RV so I find your videos very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
My advice is not to buy more than you absolutely think you need to start. It's fun to figure it out as you go and your "needs" will change. Hope you have a blast.
I started following you for the information on Alaska, but I've found your posts on upgrading your van and the equipment you use very helpful. I'm just bought my camper van a week ago and your videos have been invaluable in setting it up. Thanks for taking the time to post your ideas.
we bought our 2017 LTV Unity FX from a private party in Vermont. I did not want to wait 8-10 months for a new one. It was 9 months old with 2500 miles on it. We flew to Vemont and drove it back home to Anaheim. Buying a vehicle out of state is nightmare in California. However, if you have AAA, they cn the do all of the CMV stuff.
Good tip. That alone would be a reason for someone to join. We've been members for decades and bought their RV roadside service which came in handy on our trip to Florida.
Thanks for the video and ordered the under cabinet stowaways and like the hammock carrier. Looked at the table top before, but a bit pricey so had a friend make me a nice aged wood one for my Laguan table.
Julia and all just left for Bakersfield; they'll be back with more guests for one more night. Love having them here but we are having some painting done so they had to suffer through fumes last night. I made it up to Michael with extra bacon.
Even after 100 miles the computer/check engine light does not reset. Without the reset, it will not pass the Smog Check. Hoehn Mercedes gave me new headlight bulbs.
I purchased one myself and it is incredibly strong. Very useful to pull yourself up in a tight space: www.amazon.com/dp/B0006FHB5Q/?ref=exp_fromshetome_dp_vv_d
The cord case you are showing at 15:45 has two zipper pullers on it and is not the one you linked. Can you link where your friend got that case if it is still available. Thanks!
Some great products to enhance RV travel! Great vid! But... wait.... You couldn't do the smog inspection because of mileage, so you DROVE 100's of miles, using up fuel and emitting whatever pollution that causes, so you could get an inspection created to REDUCE smog? And did I hear right... this happens whenever disconnect the battery?? Am I missing something here??
I'm not sure if it is reset by a battery disconnect or what, but you have to have at least 100 miles on the rig. I ended up doing errands in the van and taking the long way in a few cases so it wasn't a complete loss. I don't know enough about smog tests to understand why you need 100 miles but you are right, it does seem a bit odd.
@@FromShetoMe Hi Debbie, Thank you for replying. I can not find it. ( I did look at the Amazon link and I now have lots of things in my cart). Sorry. Mark called it OB netting. He also had his flip flops in them. I looked for the netting and the snads. Very cool how organized he is.
@@FromShetoMe That is wonderful. Want to make some extra? I am sure you hear that all the time. Where are you finding the snads? do you have a link for them? Thank you again. This is so fun.
If you go to the Sailrite website, you will find tons of great tutorials on all their products. They have one demonstrating installation on a boat that might be helpful. Or just go to their UA-cam channel and click on their videos tab. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.
The black water hose has its own storage tube under the van adjacent to the clean out. We use a 25' Zero G hose for fresh water (you can see it on our Amazon Storefront--link in Description box) and store it in the small compartment of our rear door. You may or may not have one on your model.
Great video. Do you know the name of the mesh-like holders over the seats? Also, did you say those snap type holders for his shoes were called snads? Are they screwed into the side or perhaps they are a suction devise? Thank you.

Just a warning about leaving your van stocked with food: I suggest omitting items that can attract rodents (like pancake mix.) After leaving my Pleasureway Lexor parked for a couple of weeks, I discovered that a mouse had found his way in and had feasted on some sunflower seeds (in an unopened sealed container!) that I was storing there. And they were in an upper cabinet!
We bought two Anything Keepers and mounted them with the adhesive. Next morning I discovered they'd come down the adhesive didn't hold. Did you have this problem?
JoAnne Backman Hopefully the company will send replacement tape. They have come in handy on this trip. I did have to glue on the magnetic tabs on one of the units but so far they have held.
@@FromShetoMe- FYI - Our solution. With some effort, removed the adhesive that came with the trays. Cleaned & dried the surface. Applied Gorilla Tape, be careful not to apply tape to the raised area where the magnets are. Surface must be even. They've been up for two full days now. I think we're good to go.
