So glad you good folks didn’t have a blowout on that tire! You got a good deal on that one! I bought a 2016 Pleasureway and have had to replace or fix everything on it it seem, lol. Fixed generator, AC unit, ordered new fridge etc. i didn’t know anything about rv repair and to save money on expensive rv mechanics I read a lot and watched videos like yours. and did all work myself. I put a SoftStart AC module on roof unit and it’s awesome so far. Also it swayed so bad at times it seemed like it was too heavy so I put rear spacers to increase rear wheelbase and a heavy duty roadmaster heavy duty sway bar that all helped tremendously. Thanks for great video!
Who knew that prices would SKYROCKET soon after we bought this! We got super lucky. Sounds like you have a sweet rig that you put a lot of love into! We had another one similar to this but put new shocks in and it made a world of difference too especially on those high wind days. ua-cam.com/video/qIhdWa5ktQM/v-deo.html Thanks for watching! Safe Travels.
Just happen to randomly cross your video.... I also have the same rig for the past 12 years. You seem to be mechanically inclined so that will come in handy for older used vans. The RV overall has been a pleasure so far. Maintenance is pretty easy and parts are so easy to get as their are literally millions of dodge ram trucks and vans that use the same parts. We took out the back dresser and put in a nice cushion seat. The two walls facing the beds have an all in one computer on a swinging hinge and an LED tv also on a swinging hinge on the other side. I eventually removed the onan generator that needed service due to the loud noise and inefficiency of an old model. I squeezed in the spare tire where the onan used to be to hide the spare. Now we have a quiet inverter generator. I also put two 100 watt solar panels on top so the generator is rarely used. Good luck with the unit.
The handle for the jack is suppose to be in a black plastic panel on the door side wall by the driver’s seat. Mine still had a sticker on it telling me it was there.
That’s a nice clean unit. We’re hoping to pick one up this month. Found one for 5k Canadian but needs a bit of work (going to replace the tires all round too), a good cleaning, and some personal touches (update flooring, paint cabinets, install nice backsplash). It’s a mother and daughter and golden retriever unit for adventures - funny enough, also called Betty lol.
Did you say you paid 10K? I'm surprised in 2023 average price is now 18K for a 1997-2000, and I've seen several up toward 30K, but typically under 50K miles and really clean.
i bought a used rv from a guy in oklahoma…i drove it about an hour when an electrical short occurred…burned up the rv and 2 toll booths on the turnpike between okc n tulsa in 2019

That's great! I hope you have years of adventures with it.

Yeah, in 2019 we paid 10K but it was a smoking deal and needed some work. We also drove half way across the country for it.
What exactly does it mean to be on another level then the average buyer..... Just wondering
Can you elaborate?
So did you end up keeping the camper van? How did you like it?
We kept it for the Baja trip and now we own a coachmen beyond van. We loved that van for sure.
How fast your Van can max out on a highway?
Going downhill with a tailwind 110 mph.
Are you finally going to get some use out of the decals?
If they fit!
