Wife to the rescue, shout out to Mrs Bicasso putting in the hard work! And for future reference, a little isopropyl alcohol should get rid of that permanent marker on the front fender without ruining the paintwork.
Look for a replacement frame "there's got to be a Chief out there with a damaged motor" don't use solvents to clean the screen, Good Vlog keep them coming 👍
I think finding a good frame and swapping parts over would be the way to go. And as you're swapping parts over you can replace, or repair, parts as you go. I don't know the laws, but couldn't you still use that frame and register it as a custom build?
Personally I would take the worst of the other two bikes and make that the parts donation bike. Then use this one as just swap over one thing at a time, and end up with a great bike. Especially since you can take the wiring harness from the other one, any bad rusted parts, etc. You could get one great bike, and then have a lot of parts left over for continuing your work. Great job on this.
I would strip it down like you did to the previous bikes, go over all the parts, keep what’s really good. Then I would look for a crashed bike that has a good frame but needs an engine or transmission and rebuild.
Part it out, for real. Part it out. I know it's tough because it's rideable but I would keep those hard to find parts and anything you need and sell the rest!
Man, part that bike out !!!! You got 3 others that you can maybe save 2 of them, definitely 1 of them with the parts from this bike. Keep ot going, I'll keep watching
I so admire how you fix these bikes. I have recently fell in love with the Indian Chief motorcycles. I currently own a Honda Rebel 500. But my dream one day is to own a chief. One day. Keep on doing what your doing. Huge fan.
Just as soon as I saw you put Super Chief on that chock I thought “YUP, it’s gonna be FUN pulling it back off”🤔 Ask me how I know….. I have the same one and used it this past Thursday and I found that out the hard way myself 😂
I had similar situation & when it came to dealing with DMV, the best option was a clean frame swap! You may be able to use pieces of the destruction frame to repair another legal frame! Oh for more spare parts!
I started off watching the video thinking, "Hmmm, I wonder if he will be raffling tickets for this one. I might have to participate." Then I watched the end. As to what I'd do? My first thought was to buy an exact same bike and switch the license plates back and forth to keep the miles down low. Not realistic or legal, though. My second thought and more realistic would be to part it out for yourself. You know you have working components on this one. Take it apart, clean them up, and install them on the next wrecks that you get. The money it cost to get that bike will easily pay for itself when you are fixing the next Chief's you get. Finally as a long shot, if you do end up parting it out, hit me up if the windscreen is in good shape. I might be interested. The ones on the dealer website are insanely expensive and I'm looking at alternatives.
Bicasso the Chief-whisperer. Lmao love it brother, keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next one in the series, but ik it takes days for you to just edit, much less film. You do this all while working full time bro you're crushing it. When I grow up I want to be just like you.
1. If you can see if your state has such a thing as a homebuilt vehicle title option. Kind of like for kit built aircraft, or kit cars, although kit cars usually use the VIN of the donor vehicle. 2. Go with swapping your good parts onto a registered but totally bent frame wink wink nudge nudge so your VIN plate is possible to be registered.
Not from the US this question might be silly, so here goes. If the bike has a Title of Destruction would the engine number be attach to that title. So if you decided to get another frame and use the engine from this one, wouldn’t you have trouble getting it registered?
Nah. The frame is the most important but when the salvaged bike is registered, you have to detail where the parts came from. That prevents putting stolen parts on a different frame.
IF it was me, i would not have gotten a flooded bike except for parts. like the one with the bad case or one with a worse case cause you got yours fixed. most that stuff will be fine over all if you stop the rust. the electronics....idk i think they will continue to degrade unless you can find something to counter the corrosion. the frame and such could be used to fabricate custom parts, thats a thought. custom fenders, sissy bars, hard bags maybe. you know that they auction off clean title bikes too right? lol. or do you like self torture? lol. good vid man
So I thought I would take a couple of minutes to just let you know my experience. I built a Harley Davidson chopper from the frame up. I did not know until I went through the throes of getting the bike registered with the tacoma highway patrol. That the bike was not under a salvage title, but was under a scrap title I was in the same position you were. I called the DMV in Alabama where I purchased the original frame from an appeal to them that the bike was on the road was certified by highway patrol to be 100% safe and legal compliant to ride and was able to provide for them documentation of ownership under the Billis sale. The amazing, super wonderful, fantastic woman at the DMV in Alabama took the time and flipped the status of the title which changes the information in a national database with all of the DMV and I was able to register the bike the very next day I don’t know if that would be the situation for this one but there is a real possibility you might be able to get someone at the DMV in Florida to flip the status of the title so that you can at least have a salvage title and would be able to get it registered in on the road without having to do any of the aforementioned
I bought a wreck chieftain early last year and all I did was Cut the fender up a little bit and it was supposed to come with a key it did not had to buy a key fob and had it programmed and tagged🎉
Bruh, I need to get with you and learn the art of the buy! I’m sitting here retired, and have nothing but time to totally do this, and I don’t give a damn about rebuilt titles or none of that, just finding these bikes and working on them till I have garage full like you, except I like Goldwings😊
Question, are you near an IAA where you can literally go over and inspect before you bid, cause looking at photos is chancy, and you can’t see everything?
@@Soldierboy1986 I am for CoPart. Only recently bought my last 3 by visiting first. Going off pictures is risky, yes. With more experience you can make better decisions off the pictures. For the majority, that’s part of the game. But yes, more risky that way.
Alright I'm going to start this by apologizing I haven't read any of the comments I own a 01 mustang with a non salvageable title cuz of Harvey in the state of Texas I know this you can do a rebuilt title I'm not exactly sure how well that would work on the motorcycle but I do know at least down here it does work that way I would recommend at least looking into the space logbook and seeing what you need as a requirement to have it as a rebuilt title person is elavil to do that
No worries! I appreciate the idea. I have an update on this. Working with my broker on it and we found a rebuilt title path. It's expensive though but not as expensive as buying a new frame to swap everything over to.
Disassemble it into two 55 gallon size containers, sell it to someone in dominican republic and have it ship to there for them to reassembly it. You're welcome. Proudly owner of an Indian super chief in Georgia State.....and dominican as well in case u ask.
I'd strip it, and clean up everything you can keep. Junk the frame, and everything damaged by water beyond re-use. Use any parts you need to get those other bikes back up and running, sell the rest.

And one day, I will also have an all white, clean Sunday ride like that….. One day…….But thanks again for being so inspiring!!! Until my bobber, I haven’t work either on anything, 2 wheels or 4, in two decades…….
I don't know man, honestly you can put a new frame on it which sounds good. Or you got thousands and thousands of dollars worth of parts that would help you with the other two. I guess it would depend are you sponsored and did you make good money off of those raffles if not scrap it, would be my decision.
you will be chasing down gremlins later on down the road. i would use it for parts, that are not electrical, unless you do a a really good cleaning of those parts.
At the end of the day, you are a numbers guy. I forsee you using it to rebuilt the two you have. The rest you can part out....or, use on your next build. Sure, breaking down such a beautiful running bike might not make sense emotionally. But like Wu-Tang said, ...C.R.E.A.M.

I'd use it to rebuild the other two. I've got that exact same wheel chock; I use some stone landscape blocks to hold it in place.
I’d go with finding a clean frame. Or use it for parts for other bikes. Seems too nice to not put back on the road

No water in the motor luckily 🤟🏾

Good to know! They’ll need some light sanding and heavy polish. Def can get them back right.
I hope you can get this one back street legal.

Right? I'm impressed on how everything works no problem. It's a new bike tho so everything is fresh.
Can't legally be in the street in your state?
Nationally with that title. There’s ways around it tho.
Could you have it titled as special construction like a chopper....or order an aftermarket frame and build a chopper of some sort.
With enough money, definitely
