Starting a bike that has been underwater and the water has gone up both mufflers and traveled all the way to the top of each piston is a good way to bend the valves and ruin the valve stems. The first thing you should have done was remove both spark plugs and also take the throttle body and manifold apart to see if water is in them and also drain the oil too.
I’ve had people that say I shouldn’t have bought the first 3 to begin with. I’m not worried about it. 😀👌🏾If anything is damaged, I’ll tear it apart and fix it. That’s what an amateur does.
Always a great video, Brandon! Man, you are learning more and more. Any idea of the amount of money you are saving yourself! And I love your uncle. He's the epitome of cool!
Hey, Brandon: go out and get yourself a decent sized air compressor (20 gallon-ish). You can find them on sale pretty cheap. They're a great thing to have around the shop when you're working on vehicles of ANY kind because you can run air tools off of them, air up tires, and, most pertinently to this particular moment, use them for cleanup issues like air blasting water (and ROACHES!) out of places they don't belong! Also helpful for shop cleanup... blowing the dust and grime out the door is usually quicker and easier than sweeping it.
Oh man had I blown the roaches, they might’ve gone elsewhere 🤣. I did pick up a compressor recently. Only a two gallon tank though because of space reasons. Just like everything else, I’ll upgrade it at some point but it’s getting the job done.
Great job getting the bike off truck with out a scratch. Cool. Didn`t know you could swap out the Fob that way. I have a time with a Honda Shadow years ago on transporting it weird. Got it off E-bay. Picked it up in Washougal, Wa. up to N. Idaho in the back of a PT Cruiser. Had to take out the rear seats and the passenger seat. But it fit. Keep up the great videos.
Youv got me thinking about buying a wrecked bike!! I need a thunder stroke motor. I also believe that before starting that bike I'd unplug the ECU and any connectors I could find. Clean them and die electric grease them.
A belated Happy New Year to you and your family & friends Brandon. Great start to your new year for you. I think you know you're going to get electrical issues with those multipin connectors once the bike dries out, but that's the joys of fixing up bikes buddy. 😁 Looking forward to see how this one turns out. Stay safe. 👍
Risky to start it without pulling the plugs, but it seems to have worked out. You are going to need to replace the bearings on almost everything, they will be rusting, and there is a lot of washers that you need to replace as well. I have a flood damaged scout. Was about $150 in hardware (bearings, nuts, washers), and a lot of work. The swing arm main bolt will need to be pulled and greased, they get water in there and rust. Same with headstock. But it is all pretty easy stuff to work on. Looks like a good buy! I wish I could get mine inspected; I am not buying another salvage bike because it's just too hard in Washington to get them inspected.
I wasn’t too worried about it since everything look mostly dry around the area. Even if it did lock up, would’ve taken it apart like the current one 😂. We got that skill acquired. Also, you think those bearings would dry out that fast if coated in grease? I’ve gone for a ride already on it and didn’t feel or hear anything out of the ordinary. It’s worth a look still tho.
Yep. Finding one already matched is a crap shoot tho. Or, I can take the one I have to the dealer with a blank fob and have it programmed. I’m working on the WCM/fob programming tho. I haven’t bought the equipment to try it yet.
if there isn't anything sketchy did you even do anything??? lol.. awesome stuff and lookin to see what you do with this one. and damn 570 just crazy.. glad things are working for ya.. good luck on this one cheers.
@@BrandonBicasso I’ve seen a ton of those flood damaged bikes lately. Would you mind sharing what made you choose that one from the photos? Or did you just take a stab in the dark.
I took a stab in the dark. Visually it looks really good compared to the previous ones I’ve gotten. Also, if I had to tear into the motor, or replace anything else, I have that experience. I’ve worked on 4 of these bikes now so I have a lot of knowledge on what to look for. For instance, it didn’t come with a key fob so I knew how to bypass that using security parts from another Chief. Little info like contributed to my decision.
admitting you have an addiction is the first step to recovery. so say it with me "i am addicted to salvaged Indian motorcycles"..... lol. transport people should really assume there will NOT be a forklift to unload whatever unless it is going to a business address. they really should have a check box or something that people can check if they Do have a forklift or check for do Not have. so both parties can plan ahead. i must say the shipper guy did go beyond to get the job done safely. kudos to him. grats on the new bike. good vid
I will put that more on my broker lol. They got this set up at the last minute because MotoShippers would have normally put this in an enclosed trailer. It was picked up since they were already there and I guess the broker said, "Oh yeah, it's a business address". The transporter did call me beforehand asking if it was a business address and I said, nah.. I'ma dude in a garage. 😂 He didn't say it was on the side of the trailer like that though. When he pulled up I didn't see the bike at all until he turned the trailer around. Then I went... AYE.. uh, this here is a problem. 😂
You just can't get enough, can you ? A flood bike ???? You're going to need all that knowledge, as this is going to have to be stripped down & everything checked... That amount of oil coming out of the exhaust is not a good sign .. Anyway, I'm back with you & I'll keep watching. (P.S. I just saw a video from Ridingfish with Indian ambassadors on it. Is your uncle's wife an Indian ambassador for this year?
Shout out to Tim from MotoShippers 🤟🏾
This man is quickly taking over the 2022 and newer Chief knowledge market. Love your channel and how its working out.
Somebody has to do it!
@@BrandonBicasso Just bought a 2023 Dark Horse last month. Love this bike.

If water has gotten inside cylinders then there is a very strong possibility that there would be water in the oil too. The signs would be obvious.
HE PROVED YOU WRONG!lolol
That transporter was the bomb, above and beyond. Nice job. Awesome looking bike!👊
And suuper patient!
This will be fun watching you rebuild this bike. You are going to be the Indian expert soon.
GOOD JOB... That's awesome!!!!
Sweet find!!👍
Looks like you scored with this one great video. Keep it up
Love it, looks just like mine. I look forward to watching this build up and learning more about my own bike.
Always a great video, Brandon!

Learned a lot! He also almost blew us up with his cigar 😂
KEEP DOIN YO THANG B!!!
i HELD MY BREATH WATCHING THE UNLOAD.
Get a Springfield Dark Horse!! That would be bad ass...also a detail and your new edition should be good to go!
Dang, that's practically a brand new bike. Good find.
That's friggin awesome! Man, you're gonna have to change your channel name to Brandon"SuperChief" Bicasso!
Ooooooooooooo. Nice I was wondering what the white bike was
Nice one, Another project 👌
With it's own bag of surprises.
Good team work unloading. Looks a nice bike, be good to see when you get it running
Next time on Brandon Bicassoooo

As an owner of a Super Chief, I love these videos...
Glad you're enjoying them!

Hi Brandon, nice seeing your uncle again.
We're always so busy haha. Lot of times he stops by when I'm working on the bikes and has to leave.
I’ve been seeing this one in the background - it’s sweet
Chieftain now haha

Damn bro that ways a close one....
Right!? Those roaches 🪳 almost carried me away! 🤣

Man at least 10. I was worried there was a nest somewhere on the bike 😅

That transporter moved a Chief like it was nothing 👀👀
Man, he showed just how skilled he was at this. I’d still be trying to move it. 😂
How lucky is that.
Def is a sweet deal but it still needs a bit of work. Definitely less than the others visually.
With this kinda luck, if I was Brandon, I’d be booking a trip to Vegas😂 I volunteer to be on the security detail 🤔
Coming out with a bag of cash for sure.
So can you just by a wcm/fob combo on ebay that are already paired together, and use that for this bike once you get the replacement frame?

Hi I found my 2022 Husqvarna fe350 submerged in water. I want to ask how to turn it on.
Is there a key to this?
Not sure. Should search the web for that or a digital owners manual.
Did you buy this one without seeing it? You mentioned the oil looked good did you find that out after it showed up?
Yes besides the photos available via the auction. I checked the oil after it arrived and a few other things before starting.
