Thanks for the video. I’m looking to purchase a mevo and am in the middle of my research. I think a better test would have been to have move the mevo and the x3 running at the same time to compare the same single swing. I think that comparing the results of two different swings, one on each of the devices, yields unreliable results (unless you’re using a robot). Am I missing something? Thanks again for the video!
Hi Danny, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately due to the size of the x3 device, side by side would skew the data for the devices positioned off the target line. Not possible to make that test accurate enough. As a pro i took my ability to strike accurate shots enough to give accurate data at least over a series of shots. Mevo+ is by no means a worse device, it is new and the support and algorithm updates will follow soon enough to bring it up to speed and accuracy very quickly
Steve Furlonger Golf Performance Hi Steve! Thanks for the quick response. You’re no robot, but almost I guess. 🙂 I understand and agree with your point. I just purchased the base Mevo and I’m excited to see how it helps me. Have you performed any Mevo testing using foam balls? I realize the plus may behave differently with foam balls since the radar windows are larger, but maybe not. Thanks!
I really want some tech to give me some feedback where the ball has gone, distance etc when hitting a practice ball in the garden. Is this worth it? How does this compare the the garmin g80? Cheers Steve. 👍
Hi Ant, thanks for the question. Unfortunately I haven’t got a garmin g80 to compare sir. The garmin sits in a different position so will not measure the ball the same way as the flightscope . Both flightscope and trackman use doppler radar technology to pulse waves off the ball to track it, they are both positioned down the target line behind the ball.
Chistopher Pepper Hi Christopher, welcome to the channel. Indoors yes you do need the stickers on. Outdoors you don’t have to but it’s recommended for accurate spin measurements
What am I watching is the chart for the ball flight the mevo or mevo plus , the ball tracer have the same question. Is it the mini mevo or mevo plus you are using two devices one is four times the price of the other
Hi Christine, the X3 measures a longer length of ball flight compared to mevo which is the first 50 yards only. I use X3 everyday for teaching, it is accurate.
i liked the guy who just wonders in front of a driving bay....he wont last long
Life success is all about the timing😂
Saw this video some time back and now got myself a Mevo in the US and super excited , thanks
Superb Vikram. Enjoy it!!
is it a must to use the metal stickers on the ball. I'm thinking of range balls difficulty.
On the range you do have the full 50m of ball flight so data will be decent without dots, indoors it’s an imperative
I like your video
Thank you, glad it helped.
Do you adjust the elevation to normalise the ball distances when using with range balls?
Range ball setting works great 👍🏻
@@SteveFurlongerGolfPerformance There's a range ball setting for the little Mevo??

@@dandaluz how are you liking your mevo so far? I just bought mine
Hi Danny, sorry i missed this message!! No I never tested with anything other than regular balls and range balls

Thanks for the reply Steve, have you ever used the rapsodo r motion? Keep the videos coming.
Thank you sir. No I haven’t but it looks really cool.
Hard to see but do you have to put stickers on the ball? Also, will this work indoors?

I have found that as soon as I tried the driver and 3w the Mevo gave the same distance 250 .Anyone else have this problem
Can the mevo be used for chipping? If you wanted to fine tune your technique for different ball flights and spins?
Ciaran, thank you for your comments. Yes I believe so using the “chipping” or “indoor” modes via the app.
does the Mevo (not plus) come with shot tracer?
You see the ball flight on their software but not a ball tracer from what I understand.

Hi Edward. This was the mevo test. I compared its distance readings to the mevo plus and x3
Me on vs x3 distances significantly different but which is right. One of the products, or both are inaccurate. Not a meaningful test or conclusion
