Looks fun! The DR-10 is geared for 3s out the box. Slap a 21t or 23t pinion and you will see a different beast. The ESC is fine out the box, the manual says if you got an rtr kit, the throttle end points are already set. I did not notice anything different on mine. However, turn down the DVC. Have fun guys!

Cool video. I always wondered what a brushed no prep car could do. Is it more controllable since it’s not going to do over 40mph or more? I read on no prep Facebook pages that the fastest cars get to the line in 2.3 seconds or less. I think the average speed with those cars are 50 and over. I don’t know if your buddy with the DR10 tuned his car or not before racing you but if not, besides shutting off the gyro, he may need to tune the rear suspension (heavier oil and lighter springs/ adding spacers to the shocks where necessary). Overall good shootout.
Yeah, we don’t have any RC drag racing in my town, so I had to take matters into my own hands. I can make both cars go faster, but they’re so evenly matched right now I’m scared to modify them. I like being able to hand the controls to one of my friends and having a race rather than having one that is always faster than the other.
10th Scale Garage I understand. I just raced a DR10. I think the dad put better electronics in it and/or geared it differently because it seemed fast. The Traxxas doesn’t have TSM (or a tqi transmitter) and the DR-10’s gyro was turned all the way down. I ended up just pulling it out.
