  • Upping the ante with the Pro-2 Eliminator this week and chasing MORE SPEED! The Pro2 5800kV motor definitely needs higher gearing on it to go faster, but this week we are swapping it out for a 4.5T GEN3. We make a few runs at different gearing and dive into the Data Logging feature in our HotWire software. Hint: 70mph is an old goal now.

    • @TekinRacing
      @TekinRacing  4 роки тому +1

      The Pro2 has WAY more torque than the 4.5T. I still need to do a lot more testing with both motors this spring when the snow melts though, I think both can be fast it is just two different setups! Pro2 needs higher gearing with less timing and will have a more linear torque curve, the 4.5T is an RPM monster and really picks up speed when you add in the timing boost. Lots more to come when the roads are clear again!

    • @TekinRacing
      @TekinRacing  4 роки тому

      Me too, but the road is dirty and the cold temps made traction extremely low. You do need a wheelie bar for drag and even at speed it would try to keep the car from flipping if enough air got under it. I plan on coming back to this one next year when it is warmer out.
