      I agree, everything he does is amazing. But one thing with pasta, never use the time on the package for al dente. Always taste the pasta, as electric stoves, gas stoves, altitude, etc. can alter cooking time. And the difference of 1 minute can ruin the pasta.

    • @flipfloppingwithMike
      @flipfloppingwithMike 3 роки тому +1

      @@spgtenor Great advice, indeed. My gas stove cooks up pasta much faster than an electric one....a BIG difference in cooking time! Yes, test it out first.

    I made this tonight and was delighted. It's true - cooking the pasta in the sauce allows the starch to bind everything together and prevent the yogurt from separating. A generous amount of black pepper provides a counterpart to the creaminess, and the use of yogurt rather than cream keeps the dish from being heavy. A great recipe - the first I've made from this site, but it definitely won't be the last.

    This is one of my favourite one-pot pasta dishes of yours. I make it so often that I occasionally change it up a bit with a small handful of roughly chopped pitted black olives and a couple of pieces of roughly chopped dried tomatoes. The olives and tomatoes really compliment the smokiness of the paprika. Love it!

    I made this tonight. My first recipe from “Spain on a fork”. It was surprisingly delicious. I ate 3 bowls. Ordered the paprika from Amazon as I couldn’t find it at 5 different stores here in nyc. I used whole wheat pasta and good tuna in the jar with olive oil that’s imported. So quick and I’d like to think “healthy “. I ate 3 bowls ! Followed everything as is. Thank you !! Simple but flavorful! I recommend you make this !

    Just made this and was positively surprised, rly nice flavours, the tuna taste gets nicely neutralized by the joghurt, herbs and spice, can't even tell I am eating canned tuna. This is perfect for my student purse. I live in Germany, the cost for me is approx. 3,50€ (just ingredients, without electricity cost) and it lasts me for lunch and dinner. Rly not bad considering today's prices.

    This was another yummy recipe. Few UA-cam cooks provide such excellent instructions as you. The timing to cook the pasta was perfect. I live at a higher altitude ( 1.8 km ) and it did take the extra minute ( 4 minutes total ) with the lid on to cook the pasta just right. Another feature I like about your channel is that the videos are short and to the point. I can always rewatch a video the next time I want to make the same dish without excessive commentary. This channel is my favorite cooking channels. Thanks for all the wonder recipes!

    I made this dish for dinner... delicious and easy! I did not put in the Greek yogurt at the end, but it was still great. Since the pasta absorbs liquid as it sits, I stirred in 1/2 cup of water after awhile and anticipate doing so tomorrow with the leftovers. The dish has so much flavor that adding the extra water doesn't seem to dilute the taste. Thanks so much-- I'll be making this again!

    Made this last night but with cream and a little pickle juice as I didn't have Greek yogurt. It was amazing and even better today! I'm always worried about cooking the pasta in the same pot in case I add too much stock but this was awesome. I still have more for lunch tomorrow.

      I was wondering if it would turn out well if you used sour cream instead of yogurt?

    Albert. I've been cooking with Greek yogurt a lot recently but never thought about adding it to a tuna dish. You're one of my favourite UA-cam channels. I like the way that you explain everything.
    BTW. I am from the UK but I live in Fuengirola in the south. I think you live in the north?
    I'm also an English teacher and your English is so good. Did you study/live abroad or is your mum/dad from the UK or USA?

    is it a good idea to mix yogurt (turkish yogurt btw) and fish?

    This is one of my fave recipes on Albert's site. I often use the olive oil from the tuna cans to do the shallot/garlic frying (warming it to drive off any water content) as it adds more fishiness, and I use a Swiss high-end bouillon powder to make my veg stock.

    a way you could introduce even more flavours into this dish is chopped green olives or capers or both which both go really well with tuna based dishes

    Another recipe to add to my must make list. I absolutely love your quick and easy to follow videos. I do have a quick question: I'm not fond of Greek yogurt, can regular yogurt be substituted instead? Thank you so much! ~Sherry

      Try straining your regular yogurt with a coffee filter, let drip for 1/2 hour or so and use. The taste should be the same, just a matter of liquid. Make sure you don’t use vanilla yogurt as I once mistakenly did….not good!

    • @SpainonaFork
      @SpainonaFork  3 роки тому +2

      You can add regular plain yogurt if you like, though it won´t be as creamy, but still good :) much love
