- Hi Tubers, thanks for watching my vids. I'm encapsulating all the hot info I've given you over the past year about finding gold nuggets, metal detecting and digging rich gold reefs ... To be delivered in "Stages" ... So I'm putting my best foot forward and hope that it helps you find that Pot 'O Gold that lies at Rainbow's End. Whilst sprinkling the content with some of my private photos of gold that I've won over the years, I'm going into detail of how to lodge an Application for a mining license ... Which, when granted, give YOU ownership of the land ... Meaning you can push, dig, whatever you want to get that Shiny Stuff (well, of course you have to get permission, but this is just a formality as the Mines Dept. requires you to actually work your lease each year). Dave here. Thanks for the very good vid. We have a couple of areas in mind that we may do an SPL on if the returns from our 40E are really good. We may see you out there this season as you work similar areas. I have not lodged an SPL before as I was trying to work out a simple way of getting the GPS co ords for 9.8 hectares. I use UTM for my GPS so it looks like a simple 500 change in UTM is simply 500 metres on the ground. EASY .
Nothing more exciting than seeing another one of your video's pop up in my notifications 😁...the hard part is counting down the time until I can find a place or space ( which is usually home) to sit back and take it all in...Nice one Mate...Cheers 👍🍻

He was one of the early metal detectorists in WA and worked on grader at Horseshoe. He once owned the Nullagine pub and worked the ground around there, too. He passed about 7yrs ago but left me with the gold itch that never goes away no matter how much I scratch.

My area that would be flush would be the shape of a tree following a main creek, branching off. Plenty of gps marks. Cheers 🍻
Hi Steven ... I'd like to see your 'Form 20" with the description of your lease ... In the old days, Exploration Licenses were marked out in coloured pen ... And the map looked very much like what you're describing. It took hours to decipher what was open vs pegged ... Cheers M8 ...
@@prospecting101 mate it's not my lease however there's a perfect depiction of it over the ridge from the GPAs near Clermont. It is the one next to the 1870 mine there. If you google GPT 1870 gold or something to that effect it is next door. Trilobite is my main reference for this area. It's exactly how I would approach the areas that I've identified

Nice one mate, I would suggest however that dig trenches first then place your peg in the corner of the trench. Objectors have found a loop hole. The argument being (at the peg-from the peg-how far from the peg). The exact location is not clear in the legislation, therefore it can be argued.
Hi Rob, ta for your Comment. Yes Mate, those bloody Objectors! I think the Dept has changed the rules maybe 5 times that I can remember, I must say it does help slightly when you see a peg and can kinda determine when it was pegged ... Remember the ole "1 metre from the peg rule" ?? The 300 metre between pegs rule caught a few out ... GPSs help a lot huh? So ... What's the wording for the current reg? This is what I get (Is this current? I dunno, as I thought 'prescribed land' didn't need Marking Out ???'):
Marking out a mining tenement All tenements apart from Exploration Licences, Retention Licences, Miscellaneous Licences and prescribed land Prospecting Licences and prescribed Mining Leases must be marked out on the ground. The marking out
requirements are as follows:
Standard marking out procedure is:
a. by fixing firmly in the ground or as close as practicable to each corner or angle of the land concerned a post
projecting at least one metre above the ground;
b. by cutting two clearly identifiable trenches or placing two rows of stones at least one metre long from each
post in the general direction of the boundary lines; and
c. then by fixing firmly to one of the posts as the datum post the notice of marking out in the Form No. 20 in the First Schedule.

@@prospecting101 yes I do lol, and your right it caught a few people out for sure. Its funny also when I have questioned them they allow a 5 meter buffer for GPS inaccuracy's bahaha. One can only scratch their head, too many people with too much time to think lol. Latest advice I got was trench first, then datum eg, min 1 meter high, then from20. Photo video as proof with date and time stamp. Many a time the objector or "someone" walks around with a hammer to belt ya peg down below 1 meter then try to ping ya. All fun and games. Cheers. Good on you mate this gives people a lot to think about and they should do their research for each state they live in as all states have different laws and licenses. Have you copped much rain lately over there in the west?.
G'Day Rodney, many thanks for your Input ... And Advice as to check what your state's requirenent is, a few people have made that observation ... I should too! But yes, P101 is all about Western Australia ... Oh and no rain in the mid or southern part of the state ... Mostly in the Kimberley is where the problems are ... Cheers M8 ...

They had the farm invested in their gear - shiny new Landcruiser, high-tech caravan, quad AND bike, all the latest camping gear, Z7 + 6000 + 2300 ... Probably 200K$ ??? I dunno. But ... I see Minelab 5000 on Gumtree for like $4000, plus you need a reliable vehicle (we used to use station wagons back in the early 1980s, because when it rains, not even a 4WD makes it out, the ground is like soup, so you better have supplies). Anyway ... you can do it on a shoestring ... One Ole Mate used to hitch hike! OK! Hope I've helped ... Check out the gold forums for more ... Cheers M8 ...

Wow, Here in Nova Scotia, Canada you can lease a min of 40 acres for $10 for a year, you get approval within a few days, BUT you can only dig down 1.5 meters. The plots are already laid out, you just stake as many as you need or want. You can ONLY stake the same claim for a max of 5 yrs, doing $200 worth of work a year to be eligible to reclaim it. IE, 1 man panning for 8 hours is equal to $50. After the 5 yrs straight @ $10 for 40 acres, it then goes to @ $500 for 5 yrs at a time.
G'Day Ron, many thanks for the detailed Comment. Your system looks easy to navigate, that's how ours used to be until all the vested interest got involved. Now ... Carbon Farmers have big, thick Access Agreements for us to scroll through and sign ... I say, let the miners FIND something first, then let's talk about compensation. Of course we have to abide by the environmental laws that are already in place ... The Mining Act gives prospectors a lot of rights, but we have to fight for these ... In Court! OUCH M8 ....
