- G'Day Gold Nugget Hunters ... Here's Part 2 of my 'Desktop Prospecting' videos ... I hope that you get something out of it. We're following up on Part 1, delving further into the Mines Department's resource of online platforms. There are exploration results that are worth literally millions of dollars which has been spent by mining companies ... All accessible with the click of your mouse. There's so much to see! So stick with it, even if you're a pro you might pick up a handy hint, and Western Australia is one massive state with tons of gold still lurking to be found. OK! A little tip to help you to search pages for specific words, hold down "CTRL" on your computer and hit "F" at the same time, a little drop down window will appear at the top right of your screen, if , for example, you type in the word "gold", it will highlight the word all through the page and it will also tell you how many times the word "gold" appears on the page. This makes searching documents a bit easier...... Hope this helps....

Thanks 48 for your Input, yea some report you'll find are 500 pags plus, you have to read it all because it forms part of your study, you have to become an expert in the history of the area that you're researching, things will 'click' and you'll say to yourself "Oh yea, Mugs Well is down THAT track" etc ... It really is like prospecting from your chair, sometimes when you find a big geochem number you'll feel like you just found a nugget hehehee. Cheers M8 ...
Another great video. We have used some of your vids from a few years ago and the ASX reports from those areas. We did find a few nuggets that you had left behind. Not many mind you as you are thorough. We have been back a few times and will go again this year. Hope to catch up with you and your other family while there. Oh yea I remember one of your Comments last year where you found my Walkaway Reef patch, I think though you thought it was the Pink Parrot. Anyway go north of the WAR 300-500m into that deep loamy country, there are high soils there. You're doing well in your research, I hope you find yourself an Elephant, there are still lots of untouched patches in WA. OK! All the best Out There, P101 ...
I am not sure which was Walkaway reef. We had 40 e permits and found 2 of your sites north of the main road and lots of others south. The first one was pushed and had evidence of some blasting (I found fired detonator) and an old camp area. About 400 metres north of that and slightly down slope onto flat country another cleared area that had a shallow shaft filled with water and a fence around it. Parrots were drinking from the water. Leases were expired. Fantastic looking country but we only spent a short time there. We will be back out there late April-May on and off until September. Hoping to catch up with you and your brother as we have also prospected on a lot of other ground about 100km west of there. @@prospecting101

I used the Australian Geological Touring App and that will place you Exactly on the tenement and keep you in the boundary’s of a pending leases.

Thanks 👍 Tony for your Comment ... Yea you need to use a map ruler properly, yea we have apps here too which tell you exacatly where you are, and what tenement you're on etc ... But in the research part of prospecting you'll find historic maps that are not to scale and you need to convert and find distances to be able to plot on a modern map ... It's a great feeling to chase up your research, the ground gets good and you ping a nug on your first walk ... Success! Cheers M8 ...

@@prospecting101 I have used 100% of the information contained in your sessions and have had success. Sometimes it's a very deep rabbit hole to go down to get the type of leads you mentioned but it's worth the effort..👍👍
Have you seen these new robotic lawn mowers that cut your grass automatically. Someone needs to Mcguiver one of those with a metal detector, a can of spray paint and a solar panel. Set the thing off and sit back and drink your beer in the shade. After its done it's thing then just walk about and dig the spots marked with paint.

It's just a matter of time before somebody hits the jackpot with finding gold using modern tech, I thought a drone would be handy, suppose it'll happen sooner rather than later. if there is anything i have learn about listed mining companies allthey want to do if drive upthe equity price and sellout, they dont even want the gold,bitlike a ponzy scheme, nice video!
H Fuzz, thank Ye for your comment, yea it's annoying the way the corporate sector are in a class of their own, I remember getting stuck with some shares after a company announced their new port at Geraldton, shares went ballistic, well next day they announced actually it was just an idea of theirs, ASX punished the Directors by making them go to special ed classes for a few weeks, while thousands of investors were duped ... Hi Blade Master ... Yes Mate, all done in the comfort of home! In the ole days we had to go book a chair in the Mines Department, only got 2 hours, had to pay for every print ... It was a race to try to get as much as possible ... But in those days ... There wasn't too much to be had! Cheerio ... CU in CyberSpace ...
