    Excellent. I've been asked about loneliness when out prospecting, but when you're on the gold there's no time for that and at night when you're stuffed all you're thinking about is which direction do you chase. As for supplies beer and rum are when you consider critical levels of needing to do a town trip. Well done again. Cheers. 🍻

    Yep, that "Nuggecillin" is good stuff, I had somethin similar when I dug a hole on the sapphire fields long time back, dawn till dusk, they just kept comin in every bucket for 2 weeks, hardly even stopped for eats, 500 stones later I'm done and dusted. 300 of them were pretty much rubbish so I gave them to a mate to put in his fish tank to make it look all perty like, he never did, he's still got them in a jar, I laugh to myself whenever I think of it. Enjoyed the video a lot, thanks for going into detail and marking out the various reefs.

The only comment I'd make is that they should warn people about 1) The harsh Outback (some chap died a few years ago, he just raced out there unprepared) and 2) You can't just go prospect on ground under lease. Very interesting. Im glad you gave us this rundown of the history and process! Im in the USA and geology is a little different everywhere, isnt it? here when we hit caliche we stop, but im sure thats not always a good thing to do! all that work and stop? Noo! personally i would crush it and then run it thru a pulverisor after the dry washer and then a gold cube after that.. all that work and you may be missing 15- 50 percent.? maybe i dont know a damn thing? yes silicosis is a bitch. I schooled a young person doing rock counter tops with no mask and I told him It will kill you!

    • @prospecting101
      @prospecting101  2 роки тому +1

      Hi TA, many thanks for your input. Yea basic geology is the same on the planet, some areas exposed to more erosions and movement and time, WA is one of the oldest places on earth. You really don't understand geologic time until you start finding a patch of gold, and knowing where the source is just marvelling at how much time it'd take to move a lump of gold a kilometre or more. Have to remember that all the gold is trying to get out into the ocean! Luckily for us there are a few traps along the way though right? hehehehe Yes it's the third wave of silicosis, those craftsmen working in the ornamental stone business. That's quartz dust is nasty! That's why I like to walk around and enjoy erosion from the gold gods, just picking up those shiny bits; but as I say, digging a hole is nice cuz you know exactly where the gold is ;-) CHeers ....

      @@prospecting101 naturally, but over here it would cost you a 100k just to be allowed to use such equipment lol. Do you need a prospecting lease or exploration lease to use the power equipment over there? Also I've built a shaker deck wet plant for use in Victoria, what sort of crusher do you have there? I see Keene but have never seen that unit before?

      Hi Stu, heheheee I like Cecil's reply. He's right, the wild dogs have driven the farmers off the land, with their sheep and goats. The cattle have a better chance but the dogs are figuring them out. Luckily no 2-legged animals ;-) Cheers ...
