- In this video I talk about the 4 months ive been running my agency for, the progress that I made and up to what point I got stuck before approaching signing my first smma client. I think this point that im in my journey may be what other beginner agency owners may be going through, so I thought I would share my thoughts and how I plan on signing my first client.
I also have been getting lots of messages about potentially changing my niche to local lead gen instead of ecom ads through facebook.

Thanks Charlie! I actually watched one of your videos last week. Appreciate you 💪
Offer a Service For Free - A mentor once told me that learning a specific service (Email Marketing, Social Media Management, Facebook Ads…) helps a lot to get the first client and your first case study. The thing is, you can take the time (2-3-6 months or more depending on your schedule) to master one service and then you can offer it for free to a business owner. This way you really understand how the service works by you doing the actual work. Once the business owner is happy with the results, they will want to continue working with you and they will bring more costumers, at this point is where you can really outsource your service and continue scaling. Like if this makes sense!
that makes total sense! facts!
I am also at that point at the moment I think it is just a beginner thing that will get better the more we send out cold emails etc. trying new things
And I agree that it's better to do local lead gen FB ads as a beginner then jumping straight into bigger more experience needed territory
But Dont Give Up! We Got This!
Exactly! Yes we got this, keep going 💯
Local lead gen is goated. If you do get results for locals, you can genuinely change their lives. It brings nothing but joy to you & your client so trust me go ahead and do it.
That is so true bro, that matters a lot to me 🙌
That's what I'm starting with is Local. I live in middle of a massive hamlet (Sherwood Park) in Alberta Canada and I'm in between major cities so I'm hoping when I start out my ONLY main struggle is getting to know my stuff. Not the FINDING clients as much
Thanks for the motivation. I am at this point I haven't signed my first client yet but You keep me motivated with your videos. Thank you.
Keep going! You got this 💪
buddy I'm in exactly the same position as you are. I've understood all the fundamentals and methods, the only thing left is to get the work started (sales calls and loom vids). nice video bro..
thats awesome bro! good luck with your agency 🚀
In the start you should take whatever clients come your way. It’s not so important what specific niche it is, in the start just focus on getting whatever client, getting a good case study to show on your next meeting. Then the ball is rolling👍 keep up bro!
That’s true! Thanks for the tips bro I now have a client 🙏
As a Marketing Coordinator I can tell you, cold emails suck to send out because it's tedious but eventually they work.
Appreciate that Adam, yes just need to keep iterating and testing!
I’m in a similar boat, I’ve got my first client but I’m struggling to scale because I don’t have an actual offer crafted and set in stone so I feel very stuck but just taking it one step at a time and piecing things together
thats awesome you got your first client! exactly thats what I've been doing as well, one day at a time and learning as I go
Love the vids bro I’m planning on joining Imans course pretty soon
Thanks bro, appreciate that, what type of agency do you plan on starting?
Bro you can get it for free. From everyone I’ve seen reviewing it it doesn’t seem worth it. Especially when you can literally download it for free
@@eren1707 how can it be downloaded for free?
@@eren1707 damn for real ?
@@thebreadman2216 I wouldn’t even bother. 99% of it is him talking about “mindset” nothing practical or about service delivery. If you’re desperate to check it out I saw guys on Reddit and discord sharing download links
Good video. I'm at the exact same point haha
I am already struggling with Imans course. I have to become way better in decision making. Because i just take days for absolutely uslessly easy decisions like which Bank, name or which paying process to use.
You got this bro! Keep going 💯💯
Yep, currently where i am now
Keep going bro! 🚀
What platform do you use to make the image or video for your ads?
Canva is a good one that is free although most of my photo editing i do in photoshop. For videos I use Final Cut Pro, but a good free version is capcut
I wanted to ask this from a person who went through Iman’s course.
How useful is it, if you already have a great mindset, capable of researching information online and do not plan to focus on creating the creative aspect of ads yourself?
Basically from pragmatic perspective on all the pros you get from the course.
This would be very helpful if someone helped me to create a clearer image of the course.
Hey, if you already have a great mindset and are good at researching you can definitely find all the stuff you need to get your agency going online. Most of the stuff is on UA-cam! So if you don’t want to buy any course you will be fine in my opinion. The biggest pro of the course is having all this information organized and not having to do your own research to find it.
@@juansmmajourney Appreciate the response. It is not like I am unable or
unwilling to buy the course. Just curious about its substance.
Another question, did you find plug and play, examples, legal advice noticeably useful on there? Also from what I heard challenges that are on there and the access to community is quite helpful in terms of giving clarity and direction, that true?
Sorry if these questions are overly obnoxious, I just really like to understand with what I am dealing beforehand.
Also watching your video kind of confirmed, that the most challenging and important part is mastering successful communication with the clients and then being able to find reliable people to do the ads with the expected quality.
Oh also you need to set up the legal and financial framework beforehand, but I feel like this is actually good, because this is closer to an actual business model so it immediately requires you the skills that will be useful later on.
Anyways, good luck to you on your SMMA journey.
Same here but keep going!
You too bro 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️
yo man am 16 and got no money and i wanna start a SMMA what is the best video i could watch to start SMMA? what would u recommend?
I wouldn’t say one video will give you all you need but I used to learn a lot from Imans old videos like from a few years ago, also look up tutorials on how to run ads on fb or whichever platform you want to use. Try starting from the basics hope this helps
@@juansmmajourney thank you
@@jufuthings2121 the video by montel gordan is also very good
check out Max Perzon, he has an entire free course. 100% best place to go
I was wondering how do you deliver the service?
I just made a video on how I brought results to my first client! I break it down in that video
@@juansmmajourney Thanks Bro!
where do yall find your contractor?
I don’t have a contractor but I know some guys have found their contractors on fiverr and upwork
How old are you?
24
Whole thing saturated. Do you know whats better? A digital recruitment agency. People need jobs, companies needs people...
That's all i gotta say...
