Hopefully this video wasn't too confusing... But it's a confusing enough situation to begin with and we have such limited information, but I thought I'd share my thoughts on it so far anyway.

So nobody has thought Yozora’s orginal form is the Kingdom Hearts Universe version of Noctus? As in, he *literally is* Noctis, but the KH variant, like how the other Final Fantasy cameos are not just cameos but actually separate from their original FF incarnations?

What if Yozora's real body is Noctis??? And that would be the Final Fantasy series connection in Kingdom Hearts. How Yozora got Noctis body is another story...
I literally just remembered after making this video that the cutscene where Sora meets Yozora is called "Falsus Rex", which means False King, whereas Verum Rex means "True King", so that only adds to the idea that Yozora is currently in the role of the false king, and whoever is the original owner of his body might be the true king.. Noctis' story was related to him becoming the king. Hmm..
Dude I just thought that! Haha Remember when Noctis died in the FFXV ending? Maybe when he died the way he did, he reincarnated as Yozora in a different world sometime later. Yozora could just be his new name he accepted. They had weirder connections to Final Fantasy before haha
@@dragoonarchive9197 Dude, the Noctis in FFXV is not the same. The KH3 DLC ending where Yozora is inside the car ONLY paralleled to a game trailer from FF Versus XIII. Because FF Versus XIII don't exist (cancelled), this Yozora is not even Noctis. We think Yozora is Noctis, but Noctis from a cancel game (he don't exist). Yozora is entirely a "new character" or someone in KH since it's "not his body".
Plus, Nomura said Nameless Star is a character we already know in KH. Unless Nomura is lying, this girl is not even Lunafreya from FFXV since we never see any characters from FFXV appeared in KH.
We can only "think" Yozora is Noctis, but a "Noctis" that don't exist. Because FF Versus XIII is a cancel game. We linked Yozora to this cancelled-game Noctis only for context on what happened inside Verum Rex.
Since Nameless Star is someone we already know in KH (Nomura said), Yozora's real self must be someone we also know in KH too. Unless, Nomura is playing with our brain.

I'm almost 100% sure that Yozora is somesort of heart transferred character like Xigbar or Terranort and that the RIku lookalike body does not belong to him. If you look closely at his earing, you'll see that there is a nobody symbol. If he is a nobody, it would explain why Yozora could inhabit the body as it would be empty. As to what happened to the original owner, who knows. Maybe he's a heartless somewhere. Dark inferno, perhaps? Or maybe not. I've had the idea that his heart is inside the wildcard that Luxord gave to Sora, but I have no evidence to support that. As for what his name could be, I have a theory. In a cut cutscene in Toy Box, Rex calls Donald and Goofy Yozora's companions, Magia and Aegis. Presumably those are the names of the two fighting with Yozora in the Verum Rex trailer. Magia and Aegis translate to Magic and Shield in latin, and as we see in the trailer, the two fight with those abilities. If you remember back in KH1, you have a choice that affects your stats in that you can choose between a staff (which represents magic), a sheild, and a sword. So, my idea is that the name of the original owner of the Riku lookalike body is Latin for sword. As to what Yozora's original body looked like, Rex and Hamm might've given us the answer. In Toy Box Rex and Hamm for some reason call Sora Yozora. Clearly they don't look alike, as mentioned by both Sora and Donald, so why then did they call him Yozora? What could explain this confusion is if Yozora's true form looked like Sora. They played Verum Rex, so they could've seen Yozora's heart transfer from a body that looked like Sora into the Riku lookalike body we see him in now. Another possible explanation is that Yozora could've come from Sora himself. The only place I could think of that it could've happened was when Sora partially fell to darkness in Dream Drop Distance where Sora lost most of his power and has to start over in KH3. That lost power that fell to darkness would become Yozora and somehow end up in the Riku lookalike body. Yozora means night sky and darkness is related to night time, so maybe.

I literally just left a reply to someone else about how in Toy Box they might have played the game and seen Yozora's true form before he lost his heart lmao. You have a lot of interesting points. The sword name is very interesting, and it fits in a lot of ways. It might also explain why Yozora has a Japanese name but his companions names were Latin, because that was bugging me for a while. Good stuff. I'm going to look through your theories as well and get back to you on that
I just read through your theories. You should seriously consider making a channel and doing videos yourself. The way you phrase things, even the terminology you use.. If I didn't know better I'd think I wrote some of that stuff lmao. Especially how you literally call Yozora's body a "Riku lookalike", it's so similar to what I said, but you just said it first. Very interesting ideas, especially your breakdown on Verum Rex's back cover. It seems from your thoughts on the nameless woman and Yozora's true form, you suggested some of the things I've brought up well before I ever did too. Great stuff!

Dude! You're the minority so far who talked about ToyBox! I knew from the beginning that ToyBox is SUPER IMPORTANT, what Rex is saying is so weird! Rex persistently pushed our KH Sora as Yozora! Not only that, why would Nomura wanted ToyBox so bad, and the name "Magia and Aegis were "removed" in a ToyBox dialogue from Rex's mouth. I felt they were strong clues and you make a good connection to KH1. I also had this itching feeling that Sora also must be a character from a "game" because of what Rex is implying, and the DLC endings pretty much had Sora and Yozora saying the same line "is any of this for real or not".
I did check out your theory too. This somewhat aligned with my weird thought that Verum Rex is using Final Fantasy Fabula Nova lore. You can't deny Verum Rex ain't Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the car scene and the name "Bahamut" from Rex's mouth gave it away. Since we will never get the cancelled game, a way to know what Verum Rex's story in Nomura's head is to somewhat look at the main lore/ myth specifically for that FF series.
I agree that the Nameless Star is probably being used. The Gigas is guarding her. Verum Rex Yozora is trying to stop and save her all at the same time. In the trailer, I think the "light" that appeared behind the Nameless Star when Yozora reached out his hand is the KH Final World.
Why did I say "KH Final World"? I know this could be it because of the similarity people often put Verum Rex and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. In FF, seeing Etro's Gate (realm of the dead) is a HUGE deal, because major FF Gods cannot see it (i.e. Bhunivelze, Pulse and Lindzei). These Gods seeks to destroy darkness, so to speak. Based on an official Versus XIII game trailer, Noctis and Stella can see Etro's Gate. Someone who can see Etro's Gate, can go there and is super valuable. Stella has Pulse's runes. You need to check the lore, Etro's Gate, who Pulse is and Stella's bio on her rapier-runes you'll see what I mean. Bhunivelze also seems to be like MoM, tasking others to do this and that while he "disappeared".
It's also crazy that Nameless Star "heart" is at Final World. Why? Because "heart" is a key component that is also mentioned in the FF lore, it's actually called "chaos / darkness". I think you might be right, Yozora is probably trying to get to KH Final World through our Sora, so he can steal it. Yozora's boss battle also seemed to be focus on his ability to "steal"- he steals Sora's keyblade, powers, etc.

Just to add my two cents here, the latin word for sword is "Gladio"... which belongs to a certain FF XV character (that surprisingly is not Noctis).

I dont believe Yozora in the car has knows he's in a different body. He's probably having a Roxas situation where he's having dreams and thoughts that arent his and is confused on why, and is questioning his own reality. Opening cutscene for the next game where we play as Yozora?
What if the other body he is referring too is Noctics since Nomuras game was taken from him and reworked to be "unrecognizable". Just a massive Meta narrative.
Interesting tidbit that I found upon doing some quick searching:
Most of the XIII Versus art I found depicts Noctis with red eyes, which is a noticeable distinction between his XV incarnation, which has more black/blue color. I bring this up more to show that, if there's a reference, it's definitely leaning more towards XIII Versus rather than referencing XV directly.
The other thing that I wanted to point out is that the red eye from the XIII Versus art matches Yozora's left eye fairly closely. Considering how Xehanort possessing Terra altered Terra's physical body to bear more traits in line with Xehanort, it is possible that this is a similar situation, just with some different factors that have resulted in some variation. The blue eye could be from Yozura, and the red eye and body could be from FFXIII Versus Noctis. The hair is also depicted as more a grey color in the high-rez cutscenes in the car, somewhere between white and black, which might mean it's lighter than it would normally be, lining up with Noctis having darker black hair.
While a bit outside of the knowledge we have, the only person we currently know that isn't in their original body is Luxu/Xigbar, meaning that there is a chance that the body Luxu is currently using is Yozora's body. Seeing as Xigbar/Luxu is the only other person in all of Kingdom Hearts that uses anything remotely similar to Yozora's crossbow, it's very possible that he has at least had contact with Quantum (the name of the city Yozora is from) at this point. Obviously, this is just speculation, seeing as we know so little about the state of things in Yozora's world.

I personally think Mom creates role plays or people, and "writes" their existence into them. It is very likely Sora is sealed by Yozara in the Bad End to put in vessel and role that can exist ground on the other side. Yozora probably had something similar happen. then Mom gave him the "test".
If Yozara wins, Sora gets sealed to become something like a F'Cie who can exist on the other side. If Sora wins, then he can push through on his own.
Yozora look like the game because Mom put him in the Role of Final Fantasy video game character, so he can write his Fantasy Epic.It is psychological manipulation, like Darkness does.
I definitely think there's something to the idea of the MoM writing things into existence. Because... That's literally what he did. The "Author of All" as I call him
Maybe MoM posesses Yozora in a similar way Xehanort possesed Terra and isn't it weird in the Verum Rex trailer it zooms in on his blue eye when the red one seems like the odd one? MoM also has blue eyes since the eye in the No Name keyblade is blue which also means he only has one eye left and remember: The body takes the form of the heart inside it.
Are you saying the Yozora we fight in ReMind is really MoM? I definitely like the idea of Yozora’s current form being MoM’s form.

Love this! I had the same thoughts as well about Luxu..when the foretellers said “is that you Luxu..you look different” and then when Luxu also said “i had to cast my old self away” (something like that lol) but love this theory and didn’t find it too confusing! Keep it up!

Sora traveled through time and got lost, finding Yozora, who is actually looking for him. But Yozora doesn’t actually go by “Yozora.” It doesn’t look like Yozora is lost at all. At first, he was. No one is asking why or how. Yozora isn’t slightly fazed by fighting Sora on Quad. It’s familiar for him almost. He even knows Keyblade magic. What if the Quad was activated by Yozora, not Sora? Yozora is shocked to see what he formerly looked like(Sora), because he didn’t remember. It explains his hesitance to fight his old self (Sora). He’s in disbelief when he finds him. All he probably had was a name to use to find him. It’s possible by the time he got to Verum Rex’s world, he fulfills what the nameless star said could happen: he lost his heart, name, and body, and Sora eventually somehow became Yozora in or before the events of Verum Rex, leaving even the Keyblade behind. Which is why freezing Sora is “saving” him, stopping the events from happening. Preventing him from forgetting the Keyblade. It would also explain why they both repeat the “I’m having strange thoughts” line, with no Sora on screen, and all the parallels between the stories. It’s saving him from the fate that awaits him as Yozora. And if he doesn’t eventually become Yozora, then it doesn’t explain why all the toys think he looks like Yozora. Or why Yozora can steal both your Kupo Coin and Keyblade. Doesn’t explain why they’d mistake humans for ducks and dogs. It could be that Rex is a goof, but these writers love using those characters to give key information. It also Doesn’t explain the thrown in Riku reference either. They’re keying you in on how Yozora looks like both characters, and how the sidekicks have the same powers. It seems connected to Sora’s heart and Keyblade somehow. But sora not being able to be found while being trapped in Verum Rex in a different form somehow actually would make sense, and then getting into the video game to save him. They’d inform Yozora of who he actually is, and then he’d use the power of awakening to travel back in time to stop it from happening, because it can’t be undone. He’d have no way of reaching anyone, and no one would recognize him. Rex and the toys are the geniuses the whole time who spotted it early. It would also give meaning to Donald and Goofy being in the game - because we don’t know how it ends, but it would make sense for them to be in the game world to also save Sora. No clue what else they’d be doing there. Also, Yozora doesn’t seem like a villain. At all. I’d be surprised if he didn’t play a Roxas type role and end up double crossing.
I feel like he could be a victim of MoM or Luxu. Mainly luxu because of the crossbows. I feel like he might be Luxu’s first victim or something, which means Luxu’s original form is this riku look alike which is pretty interesting.
Although, I can’t be the only person that thinks it’s weird that he looks exactly like riku, there’s no way that’s a coincidence... like someone took yozora and put him into riku’s body at some point, and sent him to the past in quadratum. If that’s true, then the MoM might be the one who did that. I’m still wondering what yozora really looks like though.

My opinion: someone else is in "yozora". That other 'heart' was dreaming, so didnt expect sora to see him as yozora in his dream. This is that heart's dream "saving sora", same way joshua did the twewy crew. Guess we have to learn more about 'quadratum'. But yea, def someone else in 'Yozora', like a luxu-type deal
This is really a confusing one, which is probably why most people just don't talk about it very much, even though out of all the things he's said, it might be one of the most important details.
I mean, he's literally telling us he's not the owner of that body, so as you say, either he's confused and wrong, or he's right and that means all the things we keep attributing to him, like him being similar to Noctis, or him being a commander, may not originally apply to him at all. I don't really know either, but I will propose another possibility. Maybe he's like Apprentice Xehanort/Terranort. Maybe the form we see him in is a mixture of his own features and someone else's.
So technically, he'd be right that this isn't what he really looks like, just like Terranort isn't exactly what Terra or Xehanort looks like, but Terranort does have some of Terra's and Xehanort's features. So Yozora may have some of his features, but this form may also be mixed with someone else's. The question that still remains regardless, is who the other person is...
This is a very, very plausible possibility. I didn't even consider this when I was making this video, but I think it could be possible. It'd be confusing enough to fit as well lol
It's difficult because theorizing about Yozora based on the lore and mechanics of the KH side of the universe is wrong since MoM tells us that his is a universe without light and darkness, however we see that the Heart is still a concept in Yozora's world based on his game's box.
One thing I thought of listening to you is maybe Yozora is an older character inhabiting a younger body. He definitely kinda has the tone of an annoyed older person when talking to Sora- no nonsense, no levity, straight to business.
It hinges a lot on how Unreality functions as compared to the KH side. Did Yozora possess another body, did his body change due to some event? You definitely got me thinking pointing out that between the body that looks like Noctis and the person named Yozora who doesnt look like that STILL having a namesake and background shared with Noctis, there is a discrepancy or misdirection happening. It's very confusing.
It being an older character is certainly possible. I never thought of it because I'm so used to the main protags being fairly young. But yeah, the fact he claims he's not the owner of the Noctis lookalike form, yet is the owner of a name that's basically the japanese version of the name "Noctis" is confusing, but I think it could be as simple as Nomura misdirecting us.. But idk
@@NextGenNovelist I thought of it in a FF15 sense, like say there's a King Regis equivalent in Quadratum, i.e. the commander. Say that in this version, Noctis/Yozora is originally the same character as King Regis, an aged, weakened commander (as a result of protecting his kingdom) and needs a new body to keep fighting for good. Could be a cybernetically enhanced body or type of Replica body he's in, given the level of technology seen. The possibilities are many.
The other potential case could be he was forced to change against his will, which would be more in line with "Reclaim Your Heart". Maybe that could do with Keyblade wielders who traveled there powers intact and caused havoc with the Keyblade's abilities (Foretellers?)
Last thing is when I think about Yozora's "powers", specifically how he can steal the Keyblade. One: his abilities come from his weapons afaik, and two: what reason would there be to be able to take away a combatant's magical powers in a world without magic? We see him use the same move on Gigas in the TB trailer, though, so does it digitize anything the weapon captures and store it? Either way, I think it's possible Yozora's world was affected by Keyblade wielders, leading to the need for counter Keyblade technology, possibly because the Commander was forced out of his body by a wielder.

In KH reality all versions of a somebody (heart, will and body) must be destroyed to recreate the person they are a part of. So maybe in KH unreality the parts of a whole must be collected and saved to recreate the person they are a part of. Maybe Sora and Yozora are parts of a whole that we have not seen yet. There’s definitely a reason why Yozora and Sora see each other in their hearts, they are obviously connected in some way. And I definitely think that Nomura has been showing what we know as a reality in KH is only part of the whole thing. Just as people in KH reality have counter parts, maybe reality itself has counter parts.

Could Demyx be Yozora's true form? This guess is based on Demyx being the last of the "ancient keyblade legacy" members that we haven't seen in Union Cross (or in Quadratum, like Luxord), and also that he looks similar to the missing party member from FF Versus XIII trailers.
Theory 1 - Demyx was the commander and he switched bodies with Yozora:
Demyx could have been the original Quadratum commander; however, after switching bodies with Yozora (either on purpose or by accident), it seems he somehow made his way to the KH universe. Since his arrival, it could be that he genuinely forgot who he used to be in Quadratum, or perhaps, that he is deliberately keeping his past a secret. Either way, his current personality could suit that of a commander's - being content with other soldiers fighting his battles while steering clear of any violence himself. Yozora, now masquerading as the commander, would be trying to get back his original form.
Theory 2 - Demyx is Yozora's nobody:
If Yozora's heart was taken from him, then his body could have become a nobody. Similar to Roxas (being the nobody of Sora whilst existing as a completely separate character), Demyx could have grown his own heart and developed his own personality completely separate from Yozora. What might have then happened to Yozora's heart was that he (maybe forcibly) co-occupied the body of the Quadratum commander for the time being (just like Xehanort did when he forcibly shared and took charge of Terra's body). This would make sense with the duality in the colours of his eyes representing the duality of two hearts sharing the same body.
MoM Voice actor is Ray Chase - the very same as Noctis. This cant be a coincidence. No way. This is a Nomura game.
It sounds to me like it's Noctis inside the body of who Sora knows as Yozora. "This is not my original form" and the car ride is literally him saying it's not the way he should be from his trailers to a video game called Versus XIII.
Sora knew him as Yozora literally from a video game in another world, which may have had a similar effect as Ventus living on in Sora's heart and creating Roxas.
I believe that girl we heard of that spoke to Sora may have been Stella, but the name she gave to Sora must've been either Yozora or Noctis.. however he does bring her up again when meeting with Yozora..
My thoughts were a Geno esk thing. A formless spirit known as Yozora possesses the Commander character specifically to find Sora. With the Heterochromia (2 eye colors), there are, fittingly, 2 ideas for them. First, it's believed in some cultures that animals like dogs with it can see both the mortal and spiritual plane, which explains the journey to the Final World. The other one is simply a second spirit, as eyes are windows to the soul. Eye color changing due to possession has happened with the Xehanort squad. So I think either... Commander has the spirit ability and was possessed OR he was possessed before he was known as Commander, which changed his eye color OR he just has Heterochromia and was possessed. Also, with the Reclaim your heart thing, maybe it could be a Davy Jones thing where who holds the container for his heart commands him and he's trying to get it back to be able to finish his unknown quest

I truly do think that Yozora is in the MoM's true body. Nomura makes very intentional design decisions for his characters, at least not in KH. Yuna from FFX had different colored eyes for no reason, meaning there was no plot significance to it, but how peculiar that Yozora has one blue eye and one red eye. It might be tied to his attacks since we see red and blue lasers, but I think that the red eye is a replacement eye. With the original eye being in the Gazing Eye Keyblade.
Yeah, I have thought that his red eye could be because he doesn't have is other eye because it's in No Name, but I'm not sure if it would be so simple.. But I like the idea in general
Actually, FFX Yuna's eyes represent Yevon and Al Bhed. Yevon and Al Bhed are against each other, but Yuna's father and mother were in love. They both were outcasted. Nomura place Yuna as a symbol of "union" that defeated same enemy, Sin.
I think Yozora's blue eye is connected to the No Name sword, and the red eye is connected to the Black Box. Why? Because MoM seems to be placing importance on this two items, passing it to his direct secret apprentice.

The first time I saw his eyes I remembered thinking that Versus XIII Noctis had red eyes, and since his name was Yozora, I thought he was a fusion of Noctis and Sora (Sora having Blue eyes), and the fact that Rex in Toy Story called Sora "Yozora" even though they don't really looked that similar, might be because they may actually be fused? ,but I just never really gave it too much though after that since KH likes to give answers when there's a new bunch information added.
I also tend to believe it when they say that isn't what Yozora really looks like. I do tend to go the route that says he has two hearts in his body both of which have changed the body to look more like how the hearts see themselves, but I also really like your theory that there are two hearts and two bodies that have somehow switched. I agree that it is really possible that that is what is happening and am more then welling to think deeper into it. There are some problems with the idea but there are problems with every idea of what is happening with Yozora because he isn't understandable yet.
As for the Yozora not really looking like Noctis I don't really mind that at all. We have already been told that Verum Rex isn't the same thing as Versus and so swapping the names means and character looks around only makes sense. When everyone looks like they should again it will help us see just how different as well as allow the writers to use scraped ideas without being weighted down by the history of Versus.
So if Yozora is in a form that looks like some Commander, there are some ways that I would like to think about it. First off so far he still feels like a hero/protagonist or at the very lest someone who we are going to side with. So I want the fact that he has taken over this Commander's form and life to be not his fault. I am not sure that I want the Commander to be the bad guy in this though. Having an enemy change the heart of the leader of the other side with someone that isn't as good is actually a fairly good plan. It also gives Yozora a character arc where he has to learn to be a good Commander as he both tries to become himself again, and tries to find out where the Commander's heart is. Though it is also possible that Yozora become a Commander after he did the body swap thing, or even that the Commander's heart is still in the body but is sleep and healing or awake and helping where he can.

Yeah, those last points are very true. He could have gotten the rank after the switch occurred (if a switch did occur). Also something else that supports the idea he's taken someone else's identity is the name of the cutscene where he meets Sora. When making this video I forgot all about that cutscene name being "Falsus Rex" and that the game is called "Verum Rex", implying that Yozora is the false king, and that the original owner of the body is the true king, and I guess the game of Verum Rex would be about trying to get them trying to get their hearts back where they belong, restoring the true king in the process? 🤔
@@NextGenNovelist I don't think we have enough information to tell who the true king and false king are. Or even if there is going to be a false king. We don't even know what is happening in Reality 2 we can make a lot of guesses, some of which even have backing. However we don't know what the title of Rex is really going to mean in that setting. Is it a political king, a spiritual king, or maybe a prophecy about a symbolic king? I have seen all three used in fiction before and maybe even more that I am just not remembering right now. Without knowing what kind of government they have, or what kind of role this king is meant to have we really can't do much more then guess in the dark about what they mean by true and false king. I am not saying don't brain storm if you want to, just that we don't have much enough information to make a true theory and not just really cool ideas.
Maybe when Noctis's soul was fragmented at the end of FF15, a fragment of it gained a new body and became Yozora.
In ffxv or versus 13 the Lucians or noctis's kingdom are represented by skulls and black. You can even tell in ffxv all the lucians have a skull in each of there clothing. Its old lore from ff versus 13

My guess is that in Quadratum the heart doesn’t work the same as it does in the KH universe, or if it does work the same it’s not known as the heart. That would explain why the box says reclaim your heart and why the nameless star says he needs to regain it even though that doesn’t make much sense in normal KH logic

So this whole thing just made me think of the conversation Roxas & Namine had the ending of KH2 (Roxas: I get it I see myself the way you remember me & you see yourself the way I remember you.) so maybe with that in mind let’s say the nameless star seen Yazora lose his & then seen him acting differently soon after she lost hers but retreated to The Final word somehow so she knows he’s different however he doesn’t know she’s really gone from that worldline & is somewhere in between.
I also think the nameless star is named Sora. When Yozora asks Sora why he is "using Sora's name", it looks like he knew a Sora and that he needed to go to the Final World to "save Sora". It would make sense to Yozora to try and save the nameless star if she is also Sora, but then he meets Sora and thinks that fighting him will save her, idk

I think yozora maybe an original character that might be being used by the master of masters in the verum rex world. He could be the unreality version of Sora but unlike Sora, he wanted to get stronger and the master of masters stepped in and gave him the commanders body? Could connect to how xehanort and luxu take over bodies and they had a connection to the master of masters. Your vid is great and also made me think about what the nameless star said. She said someone else claimed her body and for some reason it gave me Ava vibes. Luxu/Xigbar could take over bodies so why couldn't she as well? He also mentions she had a role to fill and maybe this is what she did and it requires her to be in this position in unreality for the master of masters plan??

He is fully aware he's in a video game meant to fulfill an objective hence the trials he's come across to reach and I'm guessing the final boss is (Sora). Just a theory though. There are some very interesting ideas here. Granted, I've long given up on trying to make anything cogent out of the stories and lore. They're too inconsistent between games for that, though speculation and theories are often interesting. Some of my own theories, I've even pondered using as springboards for original stories that could have been. I've been thinking quite a bit in the nature of Unreality/ the world of fiction and how it would connect to the KH reality. We can see clearly that the events of Verum Rex seem to actually be real (or rather, unreal) events that occur within Unreality, and Yozora is very much a real character, and not just a character from a video game. However, within "Reality", stories such as Verum Rex only appear in fictional forms, such as a video game in this case. This means that fiction in the KH reality is moreso a window into the stories of the world on the other side. This got me thinking: what other mediums could act as a window to unreality, and could we have seen it before?
I believe not only have we seen it, we've been to a world from unreality: The 100 Acre Wood.
The 100 Acre Wood is truly a strange place and a notable outlier compared to other kingdom hearts worlds: it is only accessible through a book (a storytelling medium that is a work of fiction yet is still somehow a real world sora and the gang can interact with), and is also strangely devoid of heartless or any enemies for that matter. It is a place where darkness cannot reach, just like unreality: a world of neither light nor dark. Something interesting to consider though, is how the missing pages affect the world within. The world is damaged when pages of the book, pieces of the story are removed, characters are missing and the remaining ones are aware of this. It's not like the characters never existed at all, when first entering the world, Pooh mentions how everyone has gone missing. In this vein, restoring those missing pages also brings back those characters and unlocks further branches to travel in that world. This means altering the medium in Reality alters what happens in Unreality.
Also, this isn't very related, but where does the book originate from? Merlin says it showed up in his bag one day, and we can see in Birth by Sleep it just appears when Merlin does, but the book isn't his. It could be it was just brought into existence in "Reality", though the means of this happening is hazy at best. It could just be that the way Merlin travels could be through some medium where the boundaries between realms is thinner and as such, information from unreality was able to enter Reality in the form of a book. It could also be that the book just manifested into reality coincidentally at the same time that Merlin arrived in Radiant Garden, I can't say for certain.
This also brings up the question: does writing a fictionally story in Reality alter events in Unreality? Would this mean that the creation of Verum Rex the video game forcibly altered the events of Unreality and changed Yozora's fate? If so, there might be a lot more to consider than previously thought...
I'm still hoping Yozora is Versus XIII Noctis. And we get Verum Rex game as the Versus XIII spiritual successor that is linked with KH.

Okay, this might not make much sense, but I have a possible interpretation.
Nameless Star says that Yozora has been changed beyond recognition, and that if he changed back to normal, he’d be distressed by her absence. The wording here kinda gives me the idea that it might be more of a personality change. Maybe a different heart has taken over the body we see, and that is Yozora’s actual body. The heart using his body would then be the one saying “this isn’t what I really look like,” and in that case would be referring to the body they left behind to use Yozora’s body. The Verum Rex line of “Reclaim Your Heart” would also be more accurate because the player would be in control of Yozora’s body trying to reclaim Yozora’s heart for it, fighting back against the heart that possessed him. It might be a case similar to Terranort/Lingering Will. Yozora’s mind and will are fighting against the one possessing his body trying to “reclaim his heart.” This theory could kinda be countered by Yozora’s wording when asking Sora how he recognized him as Yozora, but I guess you could say that’s somewhat of a trick by the possessor?
Oh well. I don’t have much hope for it being correct, just a fun little theory to throw out there. And keep in mind that this Yozora stuff is all flying way over my head, so if I don’t know what I’m talking about feel free to tell me!😂

So in the fight with yozora has that move to steal sora's keyblade and could use it, even though he is not a keyblade user. It's weird really jack sparrow tried to use sora's keyblade but it came back quickly in sora's hand ~

The eye part alone is sus, but his weapons make it even worse. It literally copies Sora's keyblade. I really want to go in and see if it copies different ones (I've only ever seen him copy the Ultima Weapon). If that's the case, then it must copy Formchanges too. His crossbow, which no one seems to be talking about, seems to have some degree of the same abilities that Xigbar has with his Arrowguns. He warps shots to you just like Xigbar. It cannot be a coincidence that the sword that glows red/orange is held in his left hand while his left eye is red, and his crossbow that shoots blue bolts is in his right hand while his right eye is blue.
Unreality not only has weapons with the capability to copy other weapons' abilities (Keyblades specifically), but also has weapons which share some abilities with weapons we've seen in the KH universe. If this were early KH, I might say that's a coincidence too, but this isn't early KH. Those designs had to come from somewhere. Someone from the KH universe crossed over to Unreality and started building weapons with abilities they saw in the KH Universe that they thought this world needed, or someone from Unreality crossed over into KH, saw the powers people had, came back over to Unreality and started copying them down.
Gee, sure is odd that we never saw Luxord or Demyx get recompleted in Radiant Garden. Almost like their Somebodies might be back in Unreality. Also sure is weird we never saw the Verum Rex version of Prompto, who would likely be the one using the crossbow that Yozora has (Unless, you know, Verum Rex actually has guns). Sure is even WEIRDER that after Luxord gets recompleted again, we see a guy with Luxord's voice in Unreality saying "Impressive, is it not?" regarding Sora's abilities and power, almost like he's seen Sora's powers specifically and knows just how strong and varied Sora really is, and sent his "Commander" to go observe his abilities.

This is what I started thinking, because in Toy Box when they say Yozora looks like Sora, could it be because they played the game, and earlier in it they saw what Yozora looked like before he lost his heart? Maybe not cos Rex shows Sora the game box, implying how Yozora looks on the box is similar to how Sora looks. But they've never seen Riku. I bet if they had seen Riku they'd think he looks just like Yozora too. But yeah, it's an interesting possibility

my insane theory is that sora is forgetting riku (he never mentions how yozora looks like riku when he meets him but does think it in toy box) and the reason why is bc the part of his heart that's about riku (idk how else to describe this) is in yozora and thats why he looks like riku. originally he looks more like noctis, with black hair and maybe both eyes being red like noctis has in some of the versus xiii commericals. the one blue eye is from riku, and his outft is very clearly similar to riku's one in kh3, his original outfit was more similar to noctis's
why would this even happen you ask? i believe the MoM's plan is to weaken sora, as he's his biggest threat. think about how angry sora got in CoM once he started to forget kairi. the same thing could be happening now but with riku, with maybe yozora replacing riku in his memories. this also goes along with the sora and riku parallels with yozora and the nameless star's. i also believe she's called sora, which furthers these paralells. the MoM brainwashes sora and replaces riku in his memories with yozora, and the MoM maniuplates yozora to believe nameless star/his sora has become our sora. considering yozora is the hero in his own story, i believe the MoM also sees yozora as a threat too, and wants to weaken him as well.
also remember how in the toy story world all of the characters thought sora WAS yozora? wouldnt that make more sense if a part of sora was inside yozora?
back to sora falling to darkness though, i think this is something that nomura has been planning even disregarding this theory. in an interview nomura was asked what sora's rage form exactly is, and he said that it's sora when he's enranged. like that about that for a second. when sora is enranged, he turns into this feral beast that acts like an animal and is quite literally COVERED in darkness, he looks similar to a heartless. isn't that kind of strange? what nomura said implies that not only is rage form canon, but that it's not the leftover darkness from when he was a heartless like he said was anti-form in kh2, but specifically that he gets like that when he's ENRAGED (sora needs a snickers bar!). to me this is a strong sign that sora will fall to darkness, maybe becoming a hearless and returning to the real/main world as a nobody.
You know, the weird thing is Yozora "knew" this is not his actual form. BUT his heart is replaced according to Nameless Star. AND I assumed that Yozora doesn't remember Nameless Star thus he doesn't know his heart is changed (Nameless Star said he didn't yet regained his old self).
So, the question is not his real body, but where is Yozora's real heart? The Verum Rex box cover "Reclaim your heart".

But to your comment, Yozora's heart seems to be inside the Riku lookalike body we see him in, but what we don't know is where is Yozora's true body/form. I think it is more of a ventus-sora thing. Yozoa is being harbored inside of Noctis. That form is Noctis's body with Yozoa's heart. If I had to guess when they split Noctis will have both of his same colored eyes. "eyes are the window to the soul" and all that. Two souls, two "hearts", two different eyes. The driver doesn't think anything is wrong because he just see's Noctis. I think Sora's power of waking is going to be huge because he is going to be the one to separate them and reawaken Yozora in his true form.
His true form could have something to do with Prompto. Prompto's whole story basically makes him seem like a very gaurded replica. They might be saving Prompto and keeping him close to Noctis so that when the time comes they can put Yozora into that body.
I think is different, your approach is right, but the way you are going in wrong. The key factor here, in my eyes, it's the following "His heart replace with anothers", this is key because it goes back to 2 individuals, Luxu/Xigbar and Terranort. Both of then are a case of the body certain people know, but the content, the heart was changed beyond recognition.
I think that something happen to Yozora's heart that made it dormant or something else, inside of his body and whoever is moving this body isn't Yozora, but that doesn't mean it's a good or bad person, because it could be an inverse case of Terranort where a good and a bad person fight for the body but the bad one wins, but he doesn't have total victory so the result it's a body with amnesia until it remembers one of the other identities and adds it to it's original new one. Here it could be Yozora and whoever else, are fighting for control over Yozora's body, and while Yozora is winning, he isn't on total control so an individual similar but not same as Yozora is born, who accepts the name Yozora but doesn't own it, therefore it isn't Yozora.
I assumed the scene in the car is still in the unreality realm. Dont know if that's been specifically debunked or anything. But I dont think you mentioned that in this video, so I'm curious as to what you or anyone else thinks about that possibility.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't rex initially confuse Sora for Yozora in that toybox cutsceen? If I'm remembering correctly that'd imply that his true body would be a closer match to sora, roxas, & ventus than it would to Riku or noctis, with him potentially being in his current body, looking similar to one of Sora's best friends could simply be because his mission is to save Sora in the first place. Even when his memories fail him, his heart can never truly forget such a friend

Baseless theory. Yozora game cover mentions something called "KARMA".The karma described in kh really sound like the one in boruto. In boruto, a Being plants the karma inside humans before death as the karma let's the being reincarnate inside that human after the karma fully manifests inside the human. To make it simpler. Karma is like data. The data in the human slowly gets larger until it creates a full copy of the being into the human. Once it's done this , reincarnation will begin. 99% sure this is not what kh is going for but I am a boruto fan so I just like that there is a threat called karma which we will see in kh

I think the story of kingdom hearts is YaSora (the actual person yazora/sora actually is) coma state and how their mind/Soul perceives reality while they heal in the true actual real world. (Kingdom hearts)
Kingdom hearts isn’t a door to own reality or a bridge between world. This is all YASORAS coma and kingdom hearts is actually waking up to reality.
Sora represents hope and the I’d of the personality. Roxas is doubt/Depression and the opposite reflection of the I’d. Vanitas is primality and anger/rage and hate making him the Ego. And ventus is the Over ego which is the conscious (the sum of the parts)
Yazora is the shade or construct of the mind that parallels the super ego. So all your subconscious thoughts basically.
And sora who we play as who now has all the aspects of ventus/roxas/Vanitus (the completed half of the true YASORAs consciousness.)
Clashes with the other half of its true soul. YAZORA the parallel.
Which then leads to Verinium Rex where the newly awakened true Sora (yasora yazora soul mesh) resides and we get the actual true story of how Yasora was taken. His soul broken and that each story of sora and his friends where the actual incarnation of his fractured mind and soul coming to terms while in the coma.
Which saddly means if my theory is true… Riku kiari and all the other characters from final fantasy/kingdom hearts as we know it didn’t actually exist. But where a skewed thoughts or coping inside the destroyed mind of YaSora.

Funny enough I theorize given the beta design of Sora had the similar hair color to Yozora's current body, I suspect Yozora's originally body was beta Sora minus the lion traits. Be funny if Yozora's original body took traits from both Beta Sora and Noctis given both Sora and Noctis' are considered Nomura's sons by Nomura jomself.

has anyone actually looked at the back of this game box for clues. people like to hide things in seemingly meaningless things like this. i cant find a good high quality image of the back cover, so some of the text im not able to read. it has a line "But the 'KARMA' that sleeps in humans will accelerate further." shoot even the fake company names and barcode probably have some meaning since it's nomura.
