    I should have put the spoiler warning at the very start of the video. But hopefully the title will be enough. Also, I meant to say "Stella & Noctis" at 5:53 not Yozora lmao. That's what happens when you gotta swap between all these names for over 20mins.

    I like this theory. It adds more "spice" to whole plot. Instead of just having a "randomly named" girl that will help Riku go to Quadratum and save Sora, we have a girl named Sora that will help Riku to save Sora. But there's also this guy named Yozora who wants to save Sora but he didn't find the Sora he was expecting. Yep, that's very Kingdom Heartsy so I really like this theory.
    Let's wait some years and see how it goes

    One important thing to back up your theory aswell, would be that we think Yozora tries to save Nameless Star from the purple beacon in the Verum Rex commercial. What wouldn't it make more sense for this scene to be her being responsible for the destruction of this world? They're still opponents, who have to act out their part, one way or another. I now see this scene as in her destroying the world, while he's trying to both save his loved one & having to stop her from existing, to ensure the worlds safety. Sounds kind of like Versus, doesn't it?
    To me, this would also explain Yozora fighting Sora - He thinks KH Sora is VR Sora.
    This would also bring the Sora-Riku parallel into play. Riku & Yozora do share alot of similarities aswell, while Nameless Star & Sora would be the opposite to them. It just further supports your theory.
    But why is Yozora not the opposite to Sora, but rather Riku, when he's implied to be the main character? Magia & Aegis do mirror Donald & Goofy, after all?
    We mustn't forget, that Sora wasn't the chosen one by the keyblade. It was Riku. In the Verum Rex story however, this switch-up never happened & Yozora remains the main character.
    And, well, Yozora has silver hair, as does Riku. Nameless Star has brown has, just like Sora. If she were "just" a reused Stella, she'd still be blond.

      Almost everything you've said is stuff I considered after making this video, so I appreciate you putting it into words. There are some things I would adjust, like the beam thing. She literally shatters reality or something, and yet everything is back to normal.. Not sure what she did exactly, but it doesn't seem she destroyed the world, and it seems whatever she was doing she was being pressured to do it by the enemy, just like Stella/Lunafreya. Especially Luna because she had to summon the Leviathan at the behest of the side opposing Noctis
      One thing you mentioned that I never considered though was Yozora being the Protagonist of VR, because the switch never happened for him, so he's like Riku rather than Sora, and exactly as you said, the Nameless woman resembles Sora more than anyone else, even Kairi. And every time I saw people say "Sora is a parralel to Yozora and the nameless woman is a parralel to Kairi", I always wondered okay, then who is Riku's parralel? Even if its true that Yozora is a parralel to Sora, and the Nameless woman is a parralel to Kairi, that still leaves Riku unaccounted for.
      I mean.. Yozora literally looks like Riku. He looks nothing like Sora. His personality is even closer to Riku's. Idk.. I'm just not seeing the Sora/Yozora parralel people keep pointing out, and honestly, would Nomura make it that obvious? This is the same guy who literally took the word 'remake' to another level. I highly doubt he'd be so straight forward

      @@jeffkoenig4250 In this case, it just means "Verum Rex", "True King". It could be that when written in initials, "VR" seems to imply "Virtual Reality", but that'd not something that'd been hinted at.
      Also, there's no need to go too far with thr differences in eye-color. Heterochromia is pretty much genetic, but wether Yozora has it natyrally or not, that's another story, since both colors heavily represent both of his attack types. Regardless, it doesn't mean he comes from any "Virtual Reality". In fact, though implied to be "unreality", it's actually another part of reality.
      Basically, KH as a whole is comprised of countless universes that together comprise the multiverse of KH. Further beyond that is a whole new level of multiverses that are divided between each other, in an even higher degree of reality. Where would Quadratum/Verum Rex take place in reality? Not really known, but it id true that KH as a whole was defined by the dreams children had that restored the worlds, though not as it used to be, as a unified, single superworld that comprised all "universes", so it's highly likely that one of the core fundamentals is the ability for people to be able to bring anything thet dream of to life as a manifestation of creativity. Basically, the entire world of KH was brought by something that, by far, surpassed even the most advanced magic in existance.
      Takr the dream worlds, for instance. Eacg of the exist in their own degree, outside of what would be KH's "real" world, and yet, they arr just as real, just not to the point of existing to the same degree.
      In essence, KH and Verum Rex are simply seperated by an even higher barrier because their existances are almost as if thet were both entirely different existancrs altogether.
      To put it into perspective, one could say that the contrast between KH and VR is closer to two parallel videogames existing close to one another, just that Verum Rex hasn't had a videogame prior to it's reveal in KHIII.
      So, what I mean is that Verum Rex, as more than just a parallel to Kingdom Hearts, is the closest to a crossover between two franchises than anything else, within it's own existance.
      The reason Verum Rex is called "unreal" is because, by the point of discovery, already has all it's realms, or in this case, dimensions covered, so a completely foreign dimension would be "outside of their realm of possibility", but that doesn't mean it can't exist, it just means it cannot within the existance of KH's reality, so, in this sense, "VR" is just as "unreal" to them that cannot comprehend, as, say, Zelda, Mario, Sonic; it exist as a completely seperate part of reality as a whole within Kingdom Hearts.

    This was my theory when I first saw the Yozora cutscenes. I think this is very likely. Yozora sees himself as someone else but Sora can see him clearly. Yozora on the other Part thinks his girl Sora also took another body and now looks like our Sora. Someone manipulated Yozora pretty badly and hes not clear whats real or whats a dream (car scene).
    As we saw MoM in his Secret Ending Quadratum it was pretty much the work of the MoM hinself to "challange" Yozora as he said he had to go trough somd trials to get to safe his girl Sora.

    This was a good theory video. Another thing I'd like to point out is that Riku and Sora are unisex names in Japan so this only strengthens your point that the star could be called Sora or at least have it as part of her name. For example, she could be named Aozora (blue sky).

    If The nameless star's real name is "sora", then it would make sense for yozora to fight sora , as the nameless star mentioned that her "name" was taken away. Maybe Yozora fought Sora thinking he was the one who took away the nameless star's name?
    Also I believe "Magia" and "Aegis" might not be their name. Probably it's their class like "Mage" and "Shield". I believe they have japanese proper names to fit in the naming convention.
    If Aegis and Magia are their real names, then it's possible it might parallel Sora Donald and Goofy instead of the Island Trio.

    • @NextGenNovelist

      Exactly! That's where I was going with my point about him having to fight her, because in my older theories about Yozora "Saving Sora", this is something I mentioned(albeit a bit messily). I believed that because her heart had been taken, Yozora was mistaking KH Sora for being the new form of his Sora, because he knows that he lost his heart and his form was changed, so he knows it's likely. The question I'm now asking myself is, who exactly is the threat in their world that is causing these problems? 🤔

    You makes some really great points, and I never knew about the "Shibuya Sky" observatory bit- clearly Nomura chose that building on purpose. Whether it's a reference to her name, or to KH Sora (since Sora ends up where that building looks over, near Shibuya Scramble Crossing in the secret ending). I've been leaning towards thinking her name is likely Hoshi, because I just think it might be strange to have such similar names between Yozora and the Girl (Yozora and Sora, if that was her name) but I can't deny the evidence. The part in the secret episode that really trips me up is when Yozora says "Why are you using Sora's name?" implying at the very least that he didn't expect this "Sora" he was told to save to look like our Sora. I don't think he remembers the girl anymore (As nameless star mentioned that his heart had been replaced, also implying that he might not remember her), he just knows that this person was important to him and that he's supposed to save them. That's why after he defeats Sora, he gently touches Sora's knee and vows to save him (in jp he uses the same exact words as in the kingstagram post that shows beforehand, labeled with #/Chikai (Oath)). That's not something you would do with someone you thought was a complete stranger, even if you were told to save them. He now believes Sora (our Sora) is someone he knows personally and is precious to him- in other words, his memory is being messed with. Very similar to how in CoM Sora's memory was messed up to the point where he was convinced that Namine, a complete stranger to him, was a precious person to him and someone he had vowed to protect.

    • @NextGenNovelist
      @NextGenNovelist  2 роки тому +3

      Great comment. I can tell you really paid attention to my points in the video and I appreciate that. I'm glad you noticed that subtle body language Yozora displays that demonstrates he is personally invested in "Sora" despite clearly not knowing this particular Sora. The observatory bit is almost always forgotten about when people disagree with this, but they use the building MoM stands on as evidence of his name/identity..
      I addressed it in the video, but just to add my issue with Hoshi is that it's basically what everyone in Japan would be calling her anyway. "Na mo naki Hoshi". Nomura himself is Japanese so he doesn't say "nameless star" he says Hoshi anyway. Would he really call her that? It's like if it turned out her name was just "Star", like after all this build up that's what her name is? If that's the case, why hide her name? It's not like that's a twist or anything (we're already calling her star anyway). Her name has been hidden for two games now, which means it's being built up to like a reveal, which strongly implies her name has significance to the audience despite her seemingly being a brand new character.
      She says her name was "taken" from her, and then Yozora says why are you "using" Sora's name. So if you take something from someone, it means you can now use it yourself, but they no longer can (which might also explain why she doesn't use/identitfy with her own name anymore).

    • @CampingforCool41
      @CampingforCool41 2 роки тому +4

      @@NextGenNovelist I can see Nomura using the name Hoshi in a cheeky way; he loves to hide things in plain sight (like Riku’s Dream Eaters symbol in ddd) so him naming her “Star” when we’ve been introduced to her as a literal star, plus her necklace being a star, seems very in line with something he would do. But the evidence for her name being Sora does feel stronger for reasons you mention. But one more interesting thing to note, if her name was Hoshi, is that combining her name with Yozora’s, you would get the word “Hoshizora” which actually means “starry night sky”. I’m reminded of the kingstagram post with #/oath. So, the symbolism of the name Hoshi would still be pretty good- after all, the Night Sky without stars is nothing but darkness...
      Either way, she has many parallels/similarities with Sora. It might also interest you that she also seems to be set up as a parallel to Riku (Nomura loves his layered parallels after all, so Yozora and NS both have connections to both Sora and Riku, not strictly one or the other). The theme of dreams and dreams coming true is becoming clearer as Riku’s new arc, it’s why Fairy Godmother appears and why Riku’s Kingstagram post in Limit Cut has a reference to Cinderella’s song “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” with “I believe in Sora” and “#/wish”. Then in khmom Fairy Godmother states that NS also has a precious dream, and Riku wants to help it come true.
      In addition, in the novel we get insight into Sora’s thoughts when he meets Nameless Star, and interestingly, she reminds him of someone he can’t think of. He thinks of Aqua, but still he is reminded more of someone else and is bothered that he can’t think of who. It’s Riku- this is why he tells her Riku’s words- but he doesn’t remember it was Riku that said those words, which is made clearer in the jp version (Sora losing his memory of Riku’s sacrifice and also his memory of saving Riku’s heart may well be a clue to why Yozora looks like Riku, but that’s a whole other theory). Anyway, sorry for the long reply 😅 I think these characters are fascinating

      @@CampingforCool41 Hoshizora was suggested by other commenters on this video back when I released it, and I immediately took a liking to it. I think it's a great way of both answering the "Sora confusion" (cos Sora could be like a shortened version of Hoshizora) and it removes all the issues people have with there being two Soras. I've considered before that she's like a parralel to Riku or like an alternate reality version of KH Sora. I don't view Yozora as this perfect parralel to KH Sora the way most people do. And you've made some interesting observations relating to that, that I've never heard before or considered. I certainly think your line of thinking is plausible. The dreams element is certainly coming into play again just like with DDD, and like you say, NS is supposedly someone who has a powerful dream/wish, one we still don't know about yet (I'd assume it's reuniting with Yozora and getting her identity back but could be a twist). That line was giving me some trouble with this theory too at first. I was also thinking that it's possible the Yozora fight may take place after Riku meets him, but that leads to a bunch of questions I've yet to see answered:
      Why would Yozora be taking this mission so personally? Think about when he says "then my path is clear", you can see the way he clenched his fist (that's just one of a few examples). He seems almost upset he has to fight.
      Why doesn't he recognise him and why doesn't he mention that Riku sent him?
      Why does he decide to fight him in order to "save" him? I mean, would Riku really have said "when you find Sora beat him up and put him in a crystal"? (Maybe as payback for KH1? Lmao).
      How could fate have brought them to this point if he doesn't even know Sora yet?
      Why would he be getting offended and say "Why are you using Sora's name?" if he is supposed to be looking for him?
      If it turned out it was Riku that sent him then there'd need to be some very good answers to all those questions.
      My theory answers all those questions, and is even backed by the original purpose of the character a lot of us agree the Star is based on

    Tetsuya Nomura named Noctis (night sky) to accompany the name Sora (sky) because Sora KH and Noctis V13 were "like a son" to him. The word "sky" was important for some reason to Nomura. There was an interview about it, it's even in wiki under Noctis' name.
    The name Stella "Nox" Fleuret in Versus, especially the word "Nox" is another form of Noctis. Nomura name her to share something similar with Noctis. Yozora and Nameless Star could be in the same idea (Yozora and Sora).
    At 10:49, Stella golden symbol is from God Pulse, while Noctis blue symbol is from Goddess Etro. Pulse (ally to God Bhunivelze) is not an ally to Etro. If Verum Rex shared the idea of Versus, then they're indeed opposite. Toy Box Rex told us about Bahamut (a summon of Final Fantasy, a being close to Etro). Rex also needs to get pass Bahamut (using the character Yozora). Nomura even added that car scene to tell us which Final Fantasy he meant with Yozora, that is Versus.

      Just for being 100% correct, Stella Nox translates to "Star of the Night" (not into night sky) and Fleuret is a type of sword.
      Anyway I totally agree with you in hoping she will be more like the "Stella" from Versus rather than like Luna from XV (and same for Yozoora I would add)

      Big theory:
      Sora may have her name or a peice of her heart. Our Sora definitely has nothing to do with it tho. I think the Master of Masters is behind that. He likely needed both our sora and yozora to meet for something big. Or at least he needs sora to be in quadratum. But since they are both in two completely different realities, it wouldn’t be easy for them to meet, unless fates were forcibly tied together. So the master probably took a peice of her heart that contains her name and put it inside KH sora’s so that sora would inevitably end up in quadratum when he dies or disappears... I can’t wait to see what else happens from here. I wonder what the master is planning for sora especially. And another big question, what is KH sora’s real name if all of this is correct? Could his real name possibly be “Yozora”?

    I think this name question is a lot simpler than people think. I believe you are right the nameless star is probably going to have the name Sora.
    Point 1 is that she states that her name and everything was stolen. Point 2 Yazora needs to fight KH Sora to save his Sora.
    The logical outcome of the two points is that if KH Sora states he's Sora in a universe where name theft is a thing that KH Sora stole VR Sora's name.
    I don't believe we should use verses 13 to gain much insight into the next Kingdom Hearts game since the context for the games are completely different. If anything the Nameless Star would have a name meaningful for Kingdom Hearts. Sora is the best fit and is the type of confusing thing the director is kind of known for.

    I like your dedication to this theory, but here’s one major issue that I see should her name be Sora. In the secret episode, Yozora specifically says “I wanders into this place and did some trials, THEN, I was told to save Sora”. If Sora was the name of the girl and we assume that Yozora was trying to save her, why would it be brushed off by him as something that someone else seemingly told him he needed to do? A good amount of your theory is based on that it’s a core of Yozora’s mission to save her and not a passing thought. Now maybe it is a passing thought and Yozora grew to feel the need to save her after he was told to, but that would be kinda counter intuitive of the Verum Rex trailer where it seemed like he was really distraught by it.
    I personally feel like Yozora’s reaction to finding out Sora’s name is really more of him finding out that this is the Sora he’s looking for and be told to find when he entered some trials. “You’re Sora” seems to be intended to be read as him questioning if this is the person he was told to save and not as if he’s questioning why this random person has the name of the person I’m looking for or if this maybe is the person I’ve been looking for but stripped of their original identity.
    But of course, there’s the “why are you using Sora’s name”, how can such evidence that suggests more of a same name not be the answer to which I reply, it’s the trails. Yozora mentioned how his form isn’t his real form yet he still retains his name to which many link it to the reapers game to which bodies are taken and swapped. Who’s to say that the same can’t happen where the name changes but the body stays the same. We literally went through an entire saga dedicated to understanding how this body of Terra is actually Xehanort, this heart of Xehanort is called Ansem, and these memories of Sora is called Xion. He’s likely disillusioned, he doesn’t know if what he sees is real. Is this person who says he’s Sora actually Sora or is it another trick to mess with me. He accidentally wandered and had to save Sora, he wants to go back and to have to keep questioning where is this Sora who’ll help me escape and probably came across many who toyed with him until he found the right one.
    But that’s just my thoughts. Just a different interpretation to reading into the situation. Sure it doesn’t give an answer to the name but if does suggest why it may not with emphasis on the MAY. We have no clue what goes through Nomura’s head, so any line of reasoning could be taken.

      @NextGenNovelist  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for taking the time to write out this comment. Honestly, this is a great counter and it features some things I've had to wonder myself.
      That line of "then I was told to save Sora," had bugged me because of how nonchalantly he said it. I also wondered why would he need to be told to save her, but the Nameless Star said herself she can't be sure he's coming for her because his heart was replaced with another's, meaning it's possible he won't fully remember anything, until as you said, it was mentioned to him and part of him was triggered by the name, still remembering.
      He reacts so strongly to the name, and he is clearly taking the mission very personally. Look at the bad ending when he defeats Sora, the way he places his hand on the crystal, closes his eyes and says "I will save you", I just can't see him speaking that way about a stranger.
      To your point about the commercial, its a good one. If he's so determined to save Sora in that scene, how did he forget by the time he meets KH Sora? This may also be because his heart was replaced with another's. Remember, between the time of that commercial and when Sora meets the Nameless Star, she had already lost her form. Which means a lot has happened since that commercial. We don't even know how long ago that commercial was for Yozora and the Nameless Star. But I'd wager something most likely happened to Yozora between that commercial and when Sora meets him, whatever it was that caused him to be changed beyond recognition, and that's why he's confused.
      And remember, we know for a fact the Nameless Star Is from the same world as Yozora, and we also know that she's waiting for him specifically to rescue her (she whispered his name into Sora's ear). So we know that she needs saving, we know that Yozora needs to save someone called Sora, and we still don't know what the Nameless Star's name is yet but we know she needs to be saved by Yozora

    I kinda think that the master of masters is using yozora to accomplish his goals, and if the nameless star’s real name is sora, he’d use that to his advantage. If yozora had to go through some trials, you can infer that someone had to give him those trials to begin with, so it’s possible that the master of masters gave him trials and then told him to save sora, which could mean a multitude of things if the nameless star is ALSO named sora and would make it difficult for yozora to know which sora the M.O.M is talking about. Also how did yozora get the the final world (night time) in the first place? Unless he was shown how to get there by someone👀 most likely the m.o.m yet again.

Heck if you look at the meaning of the companions names, Magia and Aegis, it's Magic (Donald) and Shield (Goofy). Removing their names, while drawing attention to it, seems justified because it supports how obvious that trinity element is.
    Further, if Yozora is supposed to have his own trinity, then his love interest should be something water related or in a loose way, be like water. The name Hoshi seems a bit plain and it's right on the nose of course, meaning Star. Hoshino meaning Star Field, Hoshina has various meanings but typically Star (Tree) or Star (Green), Star (Beautiful) or Star South. There are other variations that can give it a water type meaning.

      I responded to your latest comment already, but I'll just say here again that I also think Sora looks similar to the Nameless woman, and Yozora looks similar to Riku. And I guess the parralels between Yozora and Sora are possible, but if that's all true, then that means this world probably has a parralel of everything/everyone (at least important) from KH. So is there a parralel to Xehanort that Yozora has to face? Who is the Riku parralel? I guess you could say the Nameless woman is the Kairi parralel, but that still leaves Riku currently unaccounted for. And the people who think the Nameless woman is Kairi's mirror are basing it on their looks, but then they say Sora and Yozora mirror when Yozora looks almost identical to Riku rather than Sora.
      Still, I'm not really opposed to the idea the world's mirror, I think it could be very cool, and it doesn't entirely conflict with my theory, so both of them could be true, one possibility then is that Sora's parralel might be the Nameless woman rather than Yozora like Nomura is leading us to believe, or she's a parralel to another character, but her name is still Sora for whatever reason

    • @t_g_gamerftw5075
      @t_g_gamerftw5075 3 роки тому +2

      Well in the first kh game, Riku was originally supposed to get the keyblade and be the protagonist. Had he gotten the keyblade, donald and goofy would have been teaming up with him, as that's the mission the king gave them. So in a world of fiction, aka a world of 'what if', what would happen if their worlds equivalent of riku, got the keyblade and met donald and goofy instead, instead of embracing darkness and losing the chance.
      Now think what would have happened to sora in such a senario. No keyblade, defenceless, and without his two greatest supports in unknown worlds filled with heartless. He likely would have lost his heart to the darkness, much like the othersides version of sora isn't able to defend herself, only stand there as events take place, and eventually lose her heart.

    I was thinking ... What if yozora and the Nameless Star are alternate version of riku and sora theirself? The girl we see in verum Rex fake trailer may seems a ripoff Kairi, but if you look closely, she has brown hair, and her face is very much similar to sora's face as we see it in cinematic cutscenes (like the secret ending for example ). And talking about the secret ending, we see riku and sora wake up in different places (the different colors make us understand that), but yozora is in the riku side, and he's looking him. Then, in the cutscene before sora and yozora fight, there's a clear shot on yozora fist as he talk about saving sora. That is a riku tipical gesture, the framing and the way he clenches and then extends his fist, and he usually always does when it comes to sora. And then riku and yozora are practically identical, which is pointed out twice, during the toy box level, and in the kingstagram post, where sora himself says that "yozora looks so much like riku" (he event put the hashtag riku 🤣) . I think it would be strange if it was just a sentence thrown at random

    • @NextGenNovelist
      @NextGenNovelist  3 роки тому +4

      Yep I agree with everything you've said, and I've seen others say something similar
      But also something that I think is very important that I personally haven't emphasised enough, is that Yozora has an emotional connection to the name Sora. The fist clench is one thing that shows it, but also as soon as he hears the name Sora his entire mood changes, then when he asks "why are you using Sora's name?" he sounds almost offended by it, again another strong emotion, and then in the bad ending when he turns Sora into a crystal he gently places his hand on it, closes his eyes and then has this determined look and genuinely says "I will save you". The thing that no theory that claims her name isn't Sora ever answers, is why he reacts like this if he blatantly doesn't know KH Sora but he cares strongly about the name. Also why would Nomura write it so that Yozora is confused about the name Sora at all if there isn't someone else with the name? Even if somehow its not the Nameless Star, thinking there's absolutely nobody else with the name "Sora" doesn't add up if you're paying close attention to the scene

      I don’t think that’s a hole in his theory. I think it was Nomura’s way of having these two characters meet without her immediately going “Oh! My name’s Sora too! Tee hee!”
      I mean, the guy does label this as a theory of his, so he’s not denying the ambiguity still surrounding the question. He knows there isn’t a conclusive answer so there’s no real way to say that a non-answer to a question about her name creates a hole in his theory. It just neither confirms nor denies the theory’s validity…

I came to this vid cos I'd heard someone who disagreed with it say that she doesn't reply saying her name is sora so it doesn't make sense, which I agreed with, but this guy actually addressed that in this video and made a pretty logical case for it. If her memory is gone or something similar then that explains why she doesn't say her own name is Sora even though she heard the name

      Actually a person on tumblr actually pointed out that the nameless woman (who is 99.95% the nameless star) has similar features to our Sora, particularly in the brows. So I wonder why the nameless woman was made to have similar features to Sora? It might be something as simple as Nomura liked the aesthetics for that character but this is Nomura, he has something in mind. I can’t see her being a doppelgänger (a person who looks a lot like another person without necessarily being related) but perhaps she’s Sora’s parallel self. If so then it would make it especially poignant if the nameless woman was indeed named Sora because she was what Sora would be if he had been a female. Of course I’m probably overthinking this.

      Nameless Star whispered the name "Yozora" to our KH Sora, and our Sora had a "surprised" reaction to the name. This is proven even more in the cutscene between Yozora and our KH Sora before the DLC battle.
      If Nameless Star is Sterelitzia, she should say Lauriam instead. She has no connection to Yozora. Since our KH Sora doesn't know Lauriam, he shouldn't have a surprised reaction to the whisper.
      Our KH Sora never introduces himself to Nameless Star. But Nameless Star knew he is "Sora". Nameless Star got her name stolen by "somebody", so she either doesn't remember her name or cannot use her name anymore.

    You have a lot of really good points and if if it wasn't the name "Sora" I might even agree with you. However having your main character share a name with another important character in your story is such a stupid thing to do that I just can't believe that they would really do it. The only way to really do something like that is to have one of the characters in this case the Nameless star have a nickname that everyone in lore as well as in fandom call them. But can the name Sora really be nicknamed?
    Besides the opposite of night sky isn't just sky. The Sky is always the sky no matter the time of day and Sora has been compared to both the strength of daylight and the worlds that shine at night. No if anything the opposite of Night Sky should be something like Dawn or Noon Sky you know translated into Japanese. Even "The Moonlit Ground" world make more sense as an opposite.
    Now all that isn't to say that I don't agree that Yozora thinks that the Nameless Star is the Sora that he is meant to save. However what we have to remember is that Yozora isn't all himself. His heart has been attacked by another and Nameless Star even claims that he doesn't really remember her. So his heart has been replaced with another, he has memory problems, and what we see isn't what he really looks like. Sounds like we have something close to a Terranort or Xemnas on our hands. Both characters where untrustworthy with names of important people from their lives before. Why should Yozora be any different.
    You know... although Sora can't be nicknamed it might be a nickname. Since Yozora most likely has memory problems and they most likely where close in some way calling a loved one "My Sky" is something that people do. After all Kairi almost does it in her letter at the end of KH2. In that way Nameless Star will have her own name and not be confusing as well as have a reason for Yozora to call her that.

    • @chloemarlowe3817
      @chloemarlowe3817 3 роки тому

      I kind of agree and disagree. Normally having two important characters having the same name would be stupid, because it is a stupid thing to do. The part I disagree with you on is the fact that "it's so stupid i can't believe they'd really do it." If this written by any other guy, you'd be right. This is Nomura we are talking about. It's so stupid and that is why it's probably true.

    • @hillaryslack2884
      @hillaryslack2884 3 роки тому

      @@chloemarlowe3817 I have thought about it more and I really think that Nameless Star is really a mirror for Kairi. So her name is likely very close but not exact to Kairi's. Kind of like Yozora and Sora. There is likely a third character with a name close but not exact to Riku and given how Yxora looks at this point it might even be the person that took over Yozora and changed how he looks. This would mean that Riku's mirror might be a villain at lest at first but he could also be a victim that Yozora agreed to help that went wrong somehow.
      As for Yozora knowing Sora's name there are honestly so many ways he could and reasons to be upset about it that doesn't seem likely it has anything to do with a girl that he might not remember at all.
      You remember the secret movie "another side, another story" it starts with a girl on a beach that most people say is Kairi. Well her coloring and even the length of her hair makes her a much closer match to Nameless Star. Which means people have most likely been confusing Kairi and Nameless Star for years. Also at about the same time we get a voice for nameless Star we also star getting the back story for Kairi. I wouldn't be surprised if we also got clearer back stories for Sora and Riku as well. So that that the back stories for the Destiny trio can be compared and contrasted with what seems to be a broken trio on the "other side" or Reality 2 as I have been calling it.

    • @mirandagoldstine8548
      @mirandagoldstine8548 3 роки тому

      It could be a nickname. Someone here suggested her name being Hoshizora (Starry sky) and it would fit with her star motif as well as make it sadder. Because when we learn that the person she is waiting for (Yozora) would call her Sora because it was easier to say that’ll hit hard as it would be a sign that even though Yozora has been through a lot he still remembers an important person he would call Sora. After all Yozora reacted strongly to the name Sora which does hint he has a history with a person who was called Sora.

    • @hillaryslack2884
      @hillaryslack2884 3 роки тому

      @@mirandagoldstine8548 I don't mind Sora being a nickname. So long as Yozora is the only one that calls her by it.
      However the more I think about it the more I am hoping that Nameless Star is more a mirror for Kairi then Sora. And Yozora is a mirror for Sora who for some reason is holding the mirror of Riku's heart but it is causing trouble to the point that it is changing how Yozora looks and other things.
      I will admit that this is a hope not a true theory because we know next to nothing about any of these characters or Reality 2 but it is a very strong hope.

  • @BurstFlare

    I honestly don't think her name is Sora, 'cause in the Melody of Melodies' ending, she seems to recognize that "Sora" is referring to the boy she met and not herself, as when Kairi asked if she knew him, instead of pausing to think or saying something along the lines of "Oh, you meant him.", she immediately replied with "Yes. He was here." without a single pause, implying that he was the first person she thought of when she heard the name "Sora" and not herself, and I don't think she would have known that Sora was from the same side as Riku and Kairi.

    • @horrorpill
      @horrorpill 3 роки тому +2

      Remember, Nameless Star has got everything "stolen" from her, including her name. Nameless Star probably doesn't know her name or is not allowed to use her name for some reason unknown (because it was "stolen" by somebody). If she did say her name, our KH Sora will not say "that girl, she told me about you" when he met Yozora. Plus, our KH Sora didn't introduce himself to Nameless Star, but Nameless Star knew Sora's name. Watch the cutscenes of Nameless Star and Sora, then also watch Nameless Star talking to Fairy God Mother, Riku and Kairi. Meaning, Nameless Star knew "Sora".

    • @BurstFlare
      @BurstFlare 3 роки тому +2

      @@horrorpill Except A, she still had her memories, and B, what Nameless Star told Riku and Kairi was there and that he encouraged her not to give up, *which is what the very same Sora that Riku and Kairi were looking for did!* Also, I just rewatched the extra cutscenes of The Final World in KH3, and while yes, Sora never directly told her his name, *Namine* mentioned his name while in star form, so that might be how she got his name.
      As for the reason why she didn't say her own name, I don't think it was because she wasn't allowed to or didn't remember. I think it's simply because someone else was using it, and she probably figured that if anyone told Yozora that "[Name] is waiting for you in the Final World", he probably wouldn't believe them. At least, that's my take on it. Could be wrong, but point is, Nameless Star knew they were talking about Kingdom Hearts Protag Sora specifically, not any other Sora.

So imagine us calling them Sora the main character and Sora from Quadratum. Sounds stupid. I think her name may be Japanese for Star? Suta I think? "The Nameless Star's name is...... Star (in japanese/latin/Italian)!" Lmao. That's trash. Hahaha, yeah we might both be wrong. Maybe nomura just wanted to hide the name, but as I said before, your theory and evidence does make sense. I also thought her name would most likely be sora, and while playing MoM I was shouting at the screen “Say your name is sora!” Like a crazy person, I was that sure. But personally I think it won’t work too great in terms of naming another character the same name as the main character and being able to differentiate them just by name may be hard. If we could come to an agreement, I hope they call her Sora Hoshi or sora with any last name or title aka (Ansem the wise), cuz then that would differentiate her from the normal Sora who doesn’t have a last name/ title. So Sora Hoshi would be a great idea. Sky star, pretty epic.
