That story is the only story where I shook my head and sighed. Imagine some angry ex house wife suing an 11 year old for not being kidnapped and trying to get him to pay for her hospital visit.

if you are out at a club and there is someone seriously harassing you, you might consider telling the bouncer. a good bouncer should be trained to be looking through the crowd and seeing when people are pulling back from someone else's approach. They don't want troublesome people in there establishment, and they certainly don't want someone scaring off all their costumers.
@@hungryguyonabicycle Dude, the guy pushed himself against Jim and put his hand down his chest without any sign of consent. That is clearly harassment. Sure, at the smoking area you could just explain it away as a creepy drunk guy trying to make conversation, but after that it went way too far.
@@hungryguyonabicycle I totally agree that they handled the situation very poorly by not getting the bouncer to throw him out, but I don't think ignoring him was an option. And while they handled it poorly, that doesn't take away from the guy's behavior. This is not just "irrational drunk" behavior, this is predatory. Let me ask you, are you sure you'd have judged this guy's actions the same, had Jim been a girl? (since I often notice a double standard in these kind of conversations)

Protip: If someone molests you at a club, just point them out and shout for help and other patrons will stop what they're doing to grab the fucker and drag them out of the club. It gives guys (and sometimes girls?) a much appreciated excuse to look heroic and macho "saving" someone from a creep. Honestly, you're pretty much safe as long as you're not led somewhere isolated or drugged.

Have had a crazy preggo lady try to bully me into giving her a lift late at night when she was sketchy af. Also threatened me when I told her to get fucked. I backhanded her and told her to leave before I sent her to the hospital. I'm a severe bullying survivor and don't take kindly to threats to my person. I'm also a woman and I think hitting women who are acting legitimately threatening should be fair bloody game. Fuck around and find out is an equal-opportunity philosophy.

The writer of the gay club story is pretty talented. She ought to write short fiction, as the image she weaves of the entire setup, situation, characters and story is very decent. I also want Jim and Kate as friends.

There's a lot of things I look back on.. going out at night, being drunk,, clubbing... and I'm like, that wasn't right,, or that was scary!! There must be angels looking out for my friends and I.. I'm sure a lot of the females watching this can relate!

Don't get me wrong, the story about the creeper at the gay bar was admittedly a lightweight scary situation if you haven't experienced this kind of thing before on a regular basis. But as someone who grew up in a major city in one of the less nice areas, experiences like this seem pretty routine to me and a lot of people I know. I have dozens of similar stories, some where things got legit scary

Yeah, there's always creeps doing shit like this at clubs, gay or otherwise. There is even breed of gross old men that lurk in gay clubs specifically and prey on the girls there. Buddy system is always your best bet.

I started watching your videos around like Thursday of this week, and I have to say I'm loving the content man. You've got yourself a new sub!!
Knowing full well that women can very much be the aggressor, and that they tend to have more leeway with the law --especially concerning rape allegations--, #4 terrifies me.
Josh Gerlach sadly 3rd wave feminism has fucked things up royally and just perpetuate rape culture by promoting the idea that only men can be sexually abusive or violent. I believe in what feminism used to be about which is probably considered not even feminism to 3rd wave feminists.
Rape is hard as fuck to prove in most cases, so it has a lower burden of proof than most crimes. Not legally, but practically. People just don't expect the same kind of proof. That, and people get insane over sex crimes. Which is fine when the crime actually occurs, but too often they end up metaphorically lynching innocent people.
And these less-than-human filth take advantage of that to blackmail or punish people. Or even throwing partners under the bus after a consensual encounter that they regret when their parents or spouses find out.
It’s anger inducing also because it makes what is already a difficult situation even more difficult for true rape victims.

Worse thing that ever happened to me at a bar, which didn't happen to me technically, was that a drunk man started yelling at my best friend. He wouldn't listen to me, which wasn't a shock cause no one ever listens to me especially when I'm serious and yelling at them, then I ran and got my uncle. We was 17 or 18 at the time, there for karaoke, and I didn't know how to fight so needed back up. My best friend though was getting a kick out of it. I love her lol.
