Loveliest thing was when Kreese is being terrifying to Curtis, and then realising he might have hurt him, Martin pops back to apologise! Sign of a great actor, and sign of a genuine nice guy.
Apparently after the movie, a little girl berated him on the plane for his role as Kreese and the mother tried to apologize. Kove told the mother he was flattered by her reaction because it shows that he did a good job with his acting.
@@BeyondtheBacklot Maybe put Martin's name in the title and thumbnail, like the T2 Robert Patrick filming location video. I didn't realize the thumbnail was showing actual new footage of him on first glance.

Fantastic video!! I remember being 14 years old, watching "The Karate Kid" in a movie theater, in 1984. The energy inside that cinema was electric. I was hooked. When the credits started to roll onscreen, people jumped up and started doing the "Crane Technique". Such an amazing memory from my teenage years. And now, thanks to UA-cam and great channels such as this one, we can relive these fantastic moments. Thank you and Rock On! =\//-/=🎸🤟

So cool the participation of Martin! I just discovered this channel and being a kid from the late seventies, THIS IS AWESOME! Thank you thank you thank you!
SO glad Cobra Kai was made. A guy loses badly in his teens spends the next 30 years living like a low income loser, abandons his son and son's mother but somehow by chance has an opportunity to maybe make it right again and do something meaningful as a mentor/father figure to a poor kid living in socal.
This is my new favourite UA-cam channel! As a big film lover seeing these locations in my favourite films and your love for them too makes it brilliant.
@Fire&Ice909 let see. At the beach Daniel stepped into his business. I know Johnny broke Alli's radio. For 1, Alli was being a prick and escalated the situation with the radio. For 2, Johnny was angry and couldn't control his emotions. Being emotional doesn't make him a bad guy. For 3, Johnny broke her radio (after Alli escalated Johnny into doing it), but Alli was not in danger. It was just a heated argument that wasn't to the point that it needed intervened with. The beach scene was a misunderstanding. Nobody was in the wrong. The soccer scene. Johnny was in the wrong, he told Bobby to trip Daniel. But, Daniel didn't know that Bobby was told to do that. Daniel never talked to Bobby before but still started to pound him just for being tripped. Even though Johnny is in the wrong, this scene still tells a lot about Daniel's poor attitude. The bike scene. Before this scene, Daniel comes into Johnny's dojo after losing a fight to him a couple days prior. Johnny sees this as a threat, so he sends a message to Daniel that he won't tolerate Daniel trying to take his girl, and trying to up his game to fight him again. Nobody was in the wrong here either. Then months go by. The conflict is over. Daniel pours water all over Johnny for no reason while he was on the toilet. Johnny obviously gets pissed off and comes after him. Daniel causes a multi car wreck outside of a school. Daniel is definitely in the wrong. Then he somehow convinces Mr. Miuyagi into thinking that it was Johnny's fault. Then they challenge Johnny to a fight at the tournament. Daniel takes full advantage of this agreement to continuously harass Johnny and make him jealous that he took his girl. Daniel is such a prick, and is again in the wrong. Daniel wins the tournament and Johnny gives Daniel his trophy, showing good attitude, even though Daniel was being a total prick. So yeah. I don't believe either of them are good. Both are in the wrong.
HAHA! Right?? That just means he was a masterful actor who played a great villain. In person, he's a kind, insightful, and wonderful guy. A real pleasure spending time with him. Thanks for watching!
@@BeyondtheBacklot Wow back! Tons of locations here in London! From James Bond and Mission Impossible movies to Harry Potter, Notting Hil, Bridget Jones etc.. Keep in touch! Would love to have you guys around for dinner! anthonylorenzo@gmail.com 😎
that would have been beyond amazing, unfortunately they don't film in southern california. i believe most of the filming is done in atlanta? if i had the money i would buy this place and open up a cobra kai dojo lol.
@George S it was a tae kwon do school i think originally when they used it for the movie. don't know how long the guy stayed at that location. i believe he still runs a school but moved locations obviously.
It would have been oool but as already someone said they are filming in Atlanta now and I actually love the mini-mall situation with the pawn shop, the mini-mart and Homeless Lynn living there.
This was totally awesome and to get the actual actor to participate at the end made this EPIC! Awesome job and keep educating and showing history! I enjoyed this a lot! Thank You!
Martin appears like a very soft spoken person on interviews. But he still looks/sounds intimidating when in role. When he shifted gears (saying his lines) did you feel intimidated?
This is awesome! Grew up in the 70s and 80s and Karate Kid was a huge influence on me growing up. Got to see it in the theatre at 13 and my cousin and I have been calling each other Danielson since 1984. Great job!
I remember watching the filming of the scene in the field when Mr. M kicks the shit out of Johnny and his cronies. It was my dad and my dad's friend and his sons, and I, we were walking around the block and came across the filming. We stayed and watched for like an hour to 2 hours.
Nice work guys, from a Karate Kid fan in New Zealand. I grew up with 80's movies so this has nostalgic qualities to the extreme. I'm going to have to check out the rest of your stuff now. Regarding your mention of the ending scene of Karate Kid - a lot of people don't pick up on the last line from Johnny, after he is defeated in the final - he snatches the trophy away from the official so he can hand it to Daniel himself and says (something like) "You're alright Larusso, good match." Very poignant. Thanks again.
Awesome job.I am from Canada, had my friends when in L.A go by a few locations and take pics. The whole movie is a piece of art,Bill Contis score..the shots everything!

Kove is the best!! No else could play his character!! Love it!!
Truth! He's awesome.
When I was a kid, Rambo and Karate Kid made me hate Martin Kove and now it's a joy to see him, ah how times have changed.
HAHA! Right?? That just means he was a masterful actor who played a great villain. In person, he's a kind, insightful, and wonderful guy. A real pleasure spending time with him. Thanks for watching!
@@BeyondtheBacklot Thank you for the video/interview, it put a HUGE smile on my face.🙏🏼
Oh kove was in Rambo I remember him in Rambo but couldn't figure out where I knew him from 😄

Such a GIFT this video! Got goosebumps when you walked into the dojo! Thank you and lots of love from London UK ❤
Wow! Thank you for the kind words! So glad you enjoyed it. We hope to see London soon for some locations. Any recommendations?
@@BeyondtheBacklot Wow back! Tons of locations here in London! From James Bond and Mission Impossible movies to Harry Potter, Notting Hil, Bridget Jones etc.. Keep in touch! Would love to have you guys around for dinner! anthonylorenzo@gmail.com 😎
Oh, the place is actually empty, could have pick this place as Johnny's Cobra Kai dojo.
that would have been beyond amazing, unfortunately they don't film in southern california. i believe most of the filming is done in atlanta? if i had the money i would buy this place and open up a cobra kai dojo lol.
Thank You!
Thanks for watching!
Great job!
Thank you for watching!
I remember watching the filming of the scene in the field when Mr. M kicks the shit out of Johnny and his cronies. It was my dad and my dad's friend and his sons, and I, we were walking around the block and came across the filming. We stayed and watched for like an hour to 2 hours.
That is epic! Who knew you’d be watching an unforgettable scene taking place?!
Greetings, New Zealand! Thanks for watching!
Many same locations are used on the Cobra Kai series.. still remain the same
Sadly a lot of the series was filmed in Atlanta i believe . They re-created the Golf N Stuff place to look like the original in the movie
That's awesome that Mr. Kove agreed to come out to meet you!! Cool stuff!
Great guy!
Thanks for watching!
merci.from France
That was so cool of Kove to re act that certain part. He still has that mean saying after all these years. So awesome to see Kove back again.
bring on season 3, can't come soon enough
Yes!! Love Cobra Kai

Loved seeing this!! It brought me back to my junior high days as well as a smile to my face. To have grown up in the 80's was truly a special time!!🙂
We miss it! Did you catch our On Location episodes? They are nostalgia at its finest
Epic!!!
Thanks! This was a fun one to put together.
It looked fun
Awesome job.I am from Canada, had my friends when in L.A go by a few locations and take pics. The whole movie is a piece of art,Bill Contis score..the shots everything!
Thank you! Any location suggestions for the Great White North?
@@BeyondtheBacklot I made a comment on John Avildsens UA-cam page under the Ali Daniel audition video and about 4 years ago or so, before he passed and I was lucky enough to get a reply.Heres what I wrote and his reply ....It's too bad the house in Norwalk isn't there,I watch Karate Kid at least once a week for the last 10 yearsI recently got the box set on Amazon to watch in the theatre in my condo and relive how it felt. It's interesting how every time I watch that movie it is through the eyes of myself at 10.,Every picture is a piece of perfect art,the Bill Conti score.I had my friend when in Los Angeles visit the apartment for me in Reseda at South Seas(amazing how the field next to it is still empty) and take pictures at the school.I am from Toronto myself,I wish I knew about the Japanese event,I would have tried to fly out.I love you Mr Avildson.Ty for your genius, your vision and allowing a piece of what you were able to see come into our lives to live on forever in our hearts!
