It seems that there's been some confusion as to a few things during the mission called "Occupation of Arteria Carpals." The five ACs and pilots are:
1.) Ostdarva and Stasis
2.) Wynne D Fanchon and Reiterpalash
3.) Lillium Wolcott and Ambient
4.) Roadie and Feedback
5.) Kasumi Sumika and Serene Haze (Hard Mode)
Dialogue:
Old King: Lap Dog...
Lillium: Please accept my apologies; that briefing you saw was manufactured. This is the end of the road for you, I think you understand why.
Roadie: Well, it is what it is. Your actions were clearly deliberate. There's no point in trying to reason with you.
Ostdarva: Maybe it's just an animal, can it even understand what we're saying?
Kasumi: To end up facing you like this... too bad, you walked right into my trap. Stand still so I can cut you down! (Hard Mode)
Roadie (Yes! ROADIE!): You think you're some kind of one-man army? You think it's your right to choose who lives and dies!?

Old King (on death): Sorry, friend, I can't help you anymore... I'm glad we got to know each other better...
Kasumi (on death): Of course... I stood by your side for so long. If it's my time, who better than you to deliver the final blow?

nah, a team up between fires of raven 621 and destruction path strayed would be absolutely horrifying.

My head-canon is that in the Fires of Raven ending, 621 is completely indifferent to the suffering the cataclysm will cause, and only focuses on getting the job done. "Good soldiers follow orders."
Strayed however, is very much implied to directly revel in the horrors he commits. Just listen to the lyrics.
The theme of approaching judgement, righteousness and catharsis.
According to Kota Hoshino, this is the theme of the protagonist, the pilot of Strayed. It's also the theme that plays in both the first and the last mission of the game, Attack on Line Ark and Occupation of Arteria Carpals.

Depends on what path you take
League Path the Strayed breaks orders from the League to go and protect the Cranium, a heroic action.
ORCA he tries to destroy the Cradles, but for the betterment of humanity overall.

@@spacewargamer4181 Admittedly the Strayed by this point is a bad guy killing worse guys but that doesn't stop the fact that he is willingly slaughtering millions out of pure anarchy instead of for a good cause, because that is the ORCA path.
The only way the Strayed isn't a Bad Guy in the Destruction Path is if he wanted to not only carry out the closed plan but also deal lethal damage to the corporations by waging war against them, but this is a bit of a stretch,
I think its a safe assumption that he's pure evil or at least heavily opposed to the corporations.

天敵ルートって周回してから解放されるルートだけど周回する間に画面の前のプレイヤーはどんどん実力上がってるから天敵ルート初ミッションはゲーム中では首輪付きの初陣のはずなのに無駄のない動作で殲滅する形になるからそれをみたセレンが全てを察してもおかしくなさそうだよね（早口長文）

ACのBGMは戦闘曲ということもあって短い歌詞の繰り返しが一番多いパターンですね
MechanizedMemoriesみたいなちゃんとした歌詞の曲の方がずっと珍しいです
この歌詞見る限り、主人公、人間辞めてる感半端ないな、、
完全に人類種の天敵じゃないか…(畏怖)

Man Occupation of Arteria Carpals is a bitch of a mission. My AC 'in theory' was capable of doing it. It was fast AND it was quite durable thanks to the fact that my main armament was the EKLAKH-ARMS, they gave me a stupid amount of firepower and could melt AC's, and allowed me to get away with using heavier, more durable parts while keeping my speed as high as possible, my AC could get me through almost anything, except Ateria Carpals, the issue being that while I could stay in the fight and take out everyone quickly, my AC lacked lasting power, entirely because it had integrated weapons. The moment I ran out of missiles and my arms I was fucked, and five tough NEXT's at once was way too much. Granted, I could bea the normal mode just fine, I just needed to be smart with my ammo conservation, but Kasumi being there in hard mode was way too fucking much.
If you switch the Reg file to 1.0, the Saline scatter missiles are stupidly broken and you can destroy the opposing NEXTs before Old King eats it.
@Siberian Oh ye, I remember cheesing it with Kojima Cannons at some point, and then I went back and tried with my normal build, took a fucking age but I was able to do it, or at least get close.
Certainly fun, it was hard in probably the best way it could be.

It's not Roadie that says that "One man army" line, it's Old King, who apparently knows about Thermidor/Otsdarva and is mocking him.
Yeah. I play the game with headphones on and it's definitely Old King's voice. At first I thought maybe it was a translation error in which they had Old King's voice actor reading someone else's line, but I think he's mocking Otsdarva's hypocritical self-righteousness
Mech Jr Yeah, I've been doing some looking around and replayed the level, and your elaboration on my original point is spot-on, Old King is mocking his hypocrisy. Which is pretty Ironic, because Old King (apparently) used to be the leader of that terrorist group you kill in Take Back Cradle 21, they have the same accents and he mentions it in game at some point. At least he's honest about his blood-lust or desire for revenge and isn't hiding behind bullshit ideals.

It also makes sense that he has a bone to pick since Old King obviously betrayed ORCA and Otsdarva/Thermidor, and claimed they've been too lenient for too long. Also if Otsdarva kills you in that mission he says "this is for sullying ORCA's name". Which is funny because in the ORCA ending the cradles also fall since the energy is rerouted to the anti-satellite batteries. But I guess he thinks the sacrifice is worth it if it ensures the rest of humanity a future in space.
Mech Jr Wow, I totally ignored you, sorry about that. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense that they gang up on you considering they were going to do the same thing (destroying the Cradles), albeit in a more indirect way. I feel kinda bad for Old King, the rest of ORCA doesn't seem to treat him with much respect. At some point (I think it's when he dies) he mentions two girl's names, who I assume are his daughters or a daughter and his wife. I guess they died and (going out on a limb here) that led him to form that terrorist group, presumably to get revenge. I'd guess that they either didn't get on a Cradle and died or were killed by some corporation or another.
Aside from being a mass murderer, he just seems like a sad guy who can't deal with losing two people close to him.

A friendship between Old King and Strayed are mentioned to have formed, since Strayed is the only person to respect Old King as a man. Which is why they supposedly have become all buddy, buddy at the last mission, that leads to the canon ending.

People think AC6 is hard... They dont know about S ranking this freaking mission with that psychopath Old King as your wingman.
nah, S-Ranking that mission is easy compared to a lot of the missions in AC6. AC6 doesn't allow you to simply hang back out of range and plink with sniping weapons.
S ranking it was the easy part because ACfA ranks were all about the money except like 2 and Occupy was worth 1,000,000 COAM. The hard part was actually clearing it. But then again, it had 1.0 Saline regs and you just fuck all of 'em with Missiles. And you can just delete Stasis during his fly in with Koji Cannons.

Should’ve been called Strayed’s theme as this music plays in the very first and the very last mission in the list, so i assume the Destruction path is the Canon ending then ?

@Siberian it's clearly not because humanity has regressed on earth. I don't care what wiki you reference. The planet has been ruined by kojima radiation and there's an army of motherwill corpses. The oldking ending is Canon. 100%.
@@ronodenthal100 ORCA path bluntly says that the surface is fucked by Kojima anyway and the point was go to Space for survival. Besides the Eherenberg Batteries are... Kojima WMDs. So "more Kojima" is a thing that ORCA will get.
Destruction leaves the Assault Cells alive. And they're not operational in Verdict Day. Space Bases aren't possible with them active.
It's the ORCA ending that states there will be another war, and it shows guess what? Another Motherwill. The army of Motherwills and Kojima fucking everything leans towards ORCA.
