As someone introduced to the series (playing it, anyway) through AC 6, it’s so wholesome seeing all the comments from last year talking about how they’re so hyped there’s finally going to be another AC game. Has the same energy as Titanfall fans would have if they announced the third game in five years
Well, it is a ghost of an ac pilot (Joshua/Iguazu) aided by an AI( ALLMIND/THE FOUNDATION) who is currently piloting something far beyond the average capabilities of an AC( N-WGXIX/ IB SOL-644) so yeah this fits very well with that boss.
It also fits that fight, in the Fires of Raven ending. Nothing about you isn't scary, to Rusty, at that juncture. Trying to burn the coral, some unstoppable pilot whose torn through the whole world, messed up every plan- and who is now out to destroy his world and everything else. He really do be a Gundam protagonist fighting impossible odds.

The corporations, Rubicon itself and every single soul on it means nothing to them - They acknowledge that they are snuffing out the light of millions of souls in an instant, yet that doesn't weigh them down at all, they just keep moving without a single doubt, or even a single remark about it - nothing - They just march on and kill everything that stands in their path. Its just another job for them, and you are just another target if you stand in the path of its completion. Its doubtful too that 621 did it for any sentimental reason, and not just because they've been conditioned to accept anything that Walter tasks them to do, be it long before their passing or not. Could even say that war is part of their existence. What else remains for them? Undo the surgeries with the credits they've earned and then what - Lead a meaningless, wasteful life after witnessing such priceless highs that nothing can compare to? It was their exceptional skill at killing that gave them all they have now to begin with. Fires of Raven ending 621 is the scariest, most horrifying thing to encounter as an AC pilot.
While I myself am new to the Armored Core series (I mean, I knew of it before AC6 but never played one until then) going through the comments of videos like these and seeing all these older fans celebrating when AC6 was announced just makes me smile. It's crazy how much hype a nearly 30 year old game series gets. I love the AC fanbase so much. Good work, Ravens.
J is such a simple yet fantastic character by just how much he sticks by everything he says and how he represents the Ravens and other pilots of the franchice as their ''worst'' version alongside the Foundation man. He doesn't care about causes or ideals. He doesn't care that you killed his squadmates. He simply exists for war and nothing else and simply accepts it. He doesn't have anything personal with you, he doesn't shit talk you, respect or even hate you. He just going to fight and kill you because its *why* he exists. Even when he's dying, there are no last words of respect, of disbelief or even some ''I'l be waiting for you in hell' Kind of speech. The Foundation Man is the one to give a final speech while J just waits his end. He existed only to fight, not for a higher casuse, personal glory or even profit. He was just a weapon to be used until either mankind or he was destoryed, nothing more. And He is completelty fine with it. Literally the most Grimdark character in the entire franchise, which is saying something.
Wonder how the other Ravens lived or died to pass that title since the Raven we fight ends up dead in the 2 missions we encounter them, so it would be fair that fighting a Raven for the title would always result in death

I have never seen a more interesting setting of a war. 4th and 5th Gen AC has the least humanity I've ever seen in any story. It's really ridiculously well done. You don't get a scene where you see human cruelty, because that doesn't matter. You barely see a single human being in game. NEXTs are so ridiculously overpowered that Gundams are like MTs to them. And the music facilitates that so well. Every human voice in the vocals is distorted beyond recognition 90 percent of the time. The Old King ending is the most human emotion you'll see out of any character, and it's the most inhuman thing available for you to do. Its the only way your character can be something, anything at all. And in 5th gen, enough time has passed to where none of that mattered. Since it led to the same conclusion, not a single answer you chose mattered. It's all so well done. Literally my favorite fictional universe ever.

You Ravens are literally birds who never left the damn nest. It's just that no one bothered to check them at the right timing. Congrats on finally getting your comeback. May the Fires of Rubicon cleave a way.
You ever wake up one day and as you're doing your daily routine, you suddenly ask yourself, “wait… why exactly am I doing this…?” Now imagine that in the context of being a warrior, whose become so powerful that he fails to find anyone who can truly rival him. And as a result, that very same power comes into its own and becomes “self-aware” (essentially), possessing you and overriding your will completely. And you are unable to stop this beast you have become, because that is what happens when you become that powerful. And this realization shakes you to your core as you are forced to realize how truly terrifying you are… Scary.
That fits with how the Raven in Verdict Day fought the strongest pilot in the world, piloting the old and Modified White Glint and kicking his ass in what is effectively a piece of shit by comparison.
For all the Ravens that went above and beyond into Human Plus. For the Ravens that made it to Mars. For the ones who fought against the Controller. For the ones who crossed the Silent Line. For those that stood as the Last Ravens. For the ones who found their Answer and delivered to the battlefield it's Verdict. Fly for them, into the Rubicon.

Besting Armored Core NG++ final boss with this track on full blast was the best finale I could have dreamed of. The Mind Machine Connection was real for those precious 5 minutes.

The entire Armored Core run down: everything sucks, humanities all but given up on anything that isn't perpetuating constant corporate warfare. Nihilistic and meaningless for profit and power. You're a valuable cog in that machine, but with good enough skills in your giant custom war mech, you might be able to beat that machine and bring a better future
If you hear a warning, the assembly is not appropriate. You need to reduce the energy consumption or change the generator to an appropriate one for your weapon.

Depends on what generation of AC in gen 3, you can build barely infinite energy but your build is bipedal with lower armor and weapons only auto-cannon rifle or pistol without back weapon. Also, the booster is slower. The result ? You'll be cooked in fire with fast AC in gen 4, screw energy dodge-dodge-dodge
I love that wallpaper of N-WGIX going against White Glint while AM disengages his VoB. It is really fitting to me, since if you think about it, it is the past viewing the present.
@@firepower7017 Hardly. Base Nineball wouldn't be able to touch either of them. Nineball Seraph would even struggle to do any real damage against them, both White Glint and the N-WGIX are much more advanced in every aspect besides needing a human pilot.
Siphon Rayzar Hell, other than the design (and that neat little spin in the N-WGIX fight which references WG’s spin after detaching his VOB, and also Mechanized Memories and Remember being the same), were his systems and weapons meant to be a poorly made White Glint due to the Generation 5 systems being somewhat underpowered due to lack of NEXT Generation technology information? (Other than the obvious Kojima Particle powered engine)

I havent stopped listening since the reveal. Its been a decade. Fromsoft has matured so much as a company, like, the possibilites of AC6 keeps me up at night.

Ac6 will be my first game of the series but listening to the music, listening to old players fight in some of the fastest paced pvp I’ve ever seen, and watching people rip entire flying fortresses out of the sky has me incredibly exited to play. Can’t wait to see what challenges y’all will have in pvp.
This is one of the strangest OSTs for a game I think I have ever heard. It's not like it's super experimental, but it just has just enough twinge of traditional mixed with instruments that I've never heard used together, followed by chord and melody progression that I have never heard in the genre. Overall, I absolutely adore it.
The earlier games of armored core were techno/trance/edm based. But that was becuz it fit the era of music back then. The Epic music score-style became more popular with games around this time of ac4/fa. Which is why the music changed so drastically with armored core.
Look up Evergrace ost. This is the same guy who made that. His chord progressions and instrument choice are always really interesting, alongside his vocals.
I dunno if anyone pointed this out, but i like the ost titles are twisted from (Remember - AC4A) to (Mechanized Memories - ACVD) Remember - to bring awareness of the past or used to emphasize the importance of what is asserted. Mechanized - introduce machines or automatic devices into (a process, activity, or place). or equip (a military force) with modern weapons and vehicles (followed up by:) Memories - the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information. It feels like AC4A "Remember" theme and fight against white glint seems like it was everything led up to that point, but recalling its "personal" experience of its OWN memories. In ACVD - in story you fight an artificially grown soldier cloned from pilots of notable skill, instead of experience memories not of its own but forged to be replicate of past greatest pilots.
Just got introduced to AC and don't care about spoilers. But in any case reading this makes me think if From Software were to pick up the series again the next game would have take you control of a pilot that was cloned from one of these great pilots but finds out and wants to become more than a tool for destruction. This would mean we would have a protagonist that talks but From Software has made a talking protagonist now, Wolf from Sekiro.
This makes it interesting how the copy was created using the best pilots from the past, including memories and skills copied into him (doubtlessly including the memories of the previous protags plus Combat Data from the UNAC's) with the most advanced machine of war available, is still defeated by someone who's effectively a nobody using a mass-produced piece of store-bought equipment.

I mean the Protagonist even killed Mercenaries which according to some of their characters bios are supposed to be Legendary or at least Well-Known. IIRC I think there was one Pilot that actually acknowledged your skill.

It's probably because its the track that plays during the final mission of the series until Armored Core 6, and it's a remix of a remix of a song from For Answer. So it's been in 2 games already plus this remix.
I am sad that I missed out on the old armored core games since I never had a playstaion growing up but I absolutely fell in love with ac6 and all the lore of the franchise and of course the music.

It makes me infinitely depressed that the rest of the series seems to not be available on PC...

Tbh itd be over insanely quickly If dark glint is the final boss for acvd. It got taken down by a mech made of scrap parts. What would happen if the greatest next pilot of all time got a hold of him?
It'd be a curbstomp battle - White Glint is far more advanced in tech, and Anatolia's Merc is far more skilled.

Depends on what generation of AC
in gen 3, you can build barely infinite energy but your build is bipedal with lower armor and weapons only auto-cannon rifle or pistol without back weapon. Also, the booster is slower.
The result ? You'll be cooked in fire with fast AC
in gen 4, screw energy dodge-dodge-dodge

@@firepower7017 Hardly. Base Nineball wouldn't be able to touch either of them. Nineball Seraph would even struggle to do any real damage against them, both White Glint and the N-WGIX are much more advanced in every aspect besides needing a human pilot.
Siphon Rayzar Hell, other than the design (and that neat little spin in the N-WGIX fight which references WG’s spin after detaching his VOB, and also Mechanized Memories and Remember being the same), were his systems and weapons meant to be a poorly made White Glint due to the Generation 5 systems being somewhat underpowered due to lack of NEXT Generation technology information? (Other than the obvious Kojima Particle powered engine)

This is one of the strangest OSTs for a game I think I have ever heard. It's not like it's super experimental, but it just has just enough twinge of traditional mixed with instruments that I've never heard used together, followed by chord and melody progression that I have never heard in the genre.
Overall, I absolutely adore it.
That's what I like about Armored Cores OST it's the Composer not afraid to explore interesting music.
The earlier games of armored core were techno/trance/edm based. But that was becuz it fit the era of music back then. The Epic music score-style became more popular with games around this time of ac4/fa. Which is why the music changed so drastically with armored core.
Its a mix of rock and techno...

I dunno if anyone pointed this out, but i like the ost titles are twisted from (Remember - AC4A) to (Mechanized Memories - ACVD)
Remember - to bring awareness of the past or used to emphasize the importance of what is asserted.
Mechanized - introduce machines or automatic devices into (a process, activity, or place). or equip (a military force) with modern weapons and vehicles
(followed up by:)
Memories - the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information.
It feels like AC4A "Remember" theme and fight against white glint seems like it was everything led up to that point, but recalling its "personal" experience of its OWN memories.
In ACVD - in story you fight an artificially grown soldier cloned from pilots of notable skill, instead of experience memories not of its own but forged to be replicate of past greatest pilots.
Just got introduced to AC and don't care about spoilers. But in any case reading this makes me think if From Software were to pick up the series again the next game would have take you control of a pilot that was cloned from one of these great pilots but finds out and wants to become more than a tool for destruction. This would mean we would have a protagonist that talks but From Software has made a talking protagonist now, Wolf from Sekiro.
This makes it interesting how the copy was created using the best pilots from the past, including memories and skills copied into him (doubtlessly including the memories of the previous protags plus Combat Data from the UNAC's) with the most advanced machine of war available, is still defeated by someone who's effectively a nobody using a mass-produced piece of store-bought equipment.
@@starhammer5247 By the time the Raven of Verdict Day fights J. I don’t think he’s a nobody by that Point. Rumors must have spread about this one Pilot destroying anything that challenges him. I mean the Protagonist even killed Mercenaries which according to some of their characters bios are supposed to be Legendary or at least Well-Known. IIRC I think there was one Pilot that actually acknowledged your skill.
@@motorsporttj1689 I know that by that point the Lone Mercenary isn't a nobody, but compared to J, they certainly are in terms of heritage and history. The Lone Mercenary is scary and I can't help but wonder how deadly they'd be in something better than a fifth gen AC.
@@starhammer5247 Oh man. The Lone Mercenary is already much more of a Grim Reaper than the Reaper Squadron(s) and the second coming of a Dark Raven. If he got hold of something greater then everyone will die. No one faces a Armored Core Protagonist and live to tell. Your right though, Prior to the games events the Lone Merc was a Nobody and everyone must have heard of J.

It's probably because its the track that plays during the final mission of the series until Armored Core 6, and it's a remix of a remix of a song from For Answer. So it's been in 2 games already plus this remix.

I am sad that I missed out on the old armored core games since I never had a playstaion growing up but I absolutely fell in love with ac6 and all the lore of the franchise and of course the music.
I am so glad I could get into this series as of recently. I have always found it too appealing to ignore, yet I had to.
