The idea of Mecha from across the multiverse coming together to fight Nineball is kinda badass actually.

In the game you get gundam, full metal panic, macross zero, genesis of aquarion, code geass and super robot wars, after beating the game I think 2 times you unlock a different version of the final boss where instead of the usual final boss 9ball seraph comes in and kicks your ass in a 3 on 1 fight……he’s the 1 by the way

According to the 1 crossover game it featured in, nineball seraph is equivalent in power to the fully completed Nu Gundam, being piloted by Amuro Rei.
Also, that nineball didn't have hustler installed...
Yeah, I believe the reason why hustler one isn't the pilot is because he's programmed to protect and guide humanity.

And again, it didn't have the hustler AI installed, it was missing it's trump card, but still held up to the performance of an experienced new type in a custom suit.
It's no Ideon or anything crazy like that, but as far as war machines go, it's hard to ask for more.

I recall in one of the Super Robot Wars titles, the Nu Gundam piloted by Amuro Ray can somehow fucking _dodge the entirety of Neon Genesis' apocalypse_ condensed in one attack, so I could see 9 doing smth similar even without H1

Not as powerful as modern MS with bullshit amount of powercreep, but it easily can harash them enough and still unscatched with the right hand. Heck, you can learn and prove it yourself if you wish

@Van0079 An additional note: completing all the routes in ACE R unlocks him as playable and it got various buffs from its original appearance (Primal Armor, Cloaking field, bits, mega beams, missile spam, etc.) Yeah it's your turn to give other things the "Oh Crap" reaction.
I really hope they include a fight with the ACE R style of Nineball Seraph in 6 as a bonus.

Epic music for an epic machine. I'm just glad I don't have to face this unit in Armored Core 4 Answer. The NEXTs I fight there are trouble enough.
Nine Ball has had far more appearances. White Glint only showed up twice, AC 4 had Joshua O'Brian piloting the OG which didn't have unique parts that I recall. Then For Answer had Anatolia's Mercenary using a rebuild White Glint with unique parts that got peoples attention properly.
Meanwhile, Nine Ball showed up in Armored Core. Yes, AC1, the original, as the top ranked Raven and final boss, Twice. Master of Arena's entire story revolved around the player's character (Leo's Klien though not named until AC 2) working to face Nine Ball as revenge. It included fighting Nine Ball. Then _two_ Nine Balls at once, and then Nineball Seraph. That's the one I think most people remember strongly, because good god that was hard. In AC2 Another Age, there is a mission to face Nineball as an 'unknown AC that is killing off Ravens' and described as 'an older model'. Armored Core 3 had a pair of Unmanned AC's as it's final boss equivalent in reference to AC 1 and Master of Arena. (Being the second remake of Armored Core 1 essentially.) Silent Line's final boss, IBIS uses a similar unit in different color scheme to Nineball Seraph Nexus has a mission to face a recreation of Nineball Seraph as bonus content. Last Raven rewarded you the parts to recreate Nine Ball entirely (not Seraph, just the original) for S ranking some of the hardest content ever in an Armored Core game. (I may be missing a couple of references and appearances, that's how ubiquitous Nine Ball is in the series.)
Amusingly, in the original Armored Core, Nine Ball didn't have unique music. Instead the same music as the first mission of the game played, Circulation specifically.

From what I remember, the title of Ninebreaker first arose when Nineball was defeated at the end of AC: MOA. It was then handed out to those who could defeat the top-ranked Raven. Leos Kline was a Ninebreaker, so he was at the top at one point. Likewise, Ares is as well, until you defeat him, that is.

@Van0079 There are several incarnations of him throughout pretty much every AC save for 2, 3 and Silent Line. There are similar models but no major encounters between 2:AA and Nexus. He actually made his very first appearance in the first game during missions but Master of Arena was where the running fame of Nineball being a terror came from. Its also why the antagonist of AC:2 had any merit. They even gave the thing a cameo in the AC Novel beating up on someone.

He's one of the bodies of the Raven Hustler-1, who turns out to actually be an AI secretly in control of what's left of the world to protect it. After foiling a lot of his plans to keep things in order, he deems you a threat that has to be taken care of personally, so he brings you out somewhere to fight his Seraph body. Once he's beaten, he's gone for good. Nobody knew who created him, and all we know is that he was supposed to "protect" what was left of humanity and the world.

Well to be fair White Glint is new to the scene by comparison (granted it's an awesome design) but Nineball is one of those bosses that haunts games as a challenge point for the player. I know plenty of people that walked into the AC:AA fight with him and got roflstomped.
@ItohKuni Silent line he takes the form of Ibis. In Nexus he disappeared but this time instead of trying to fix mankind, he decided to wipe everything out to start again (suicide bombs). 9 Breaker they train you and he's the last boss. Last Raven, he comes back as a mysterious AI controlling the pulverizers. 9 Ball is an AI that secretly controls humanity and is always a step ahead. His original seraph form looks and moves much like a next from AC5, and that was all the way back in MOA.
NEXTs are from AC4 and ACFA not AC5

Look here, i was a 14-years old poor kid that have nothing better other than an android and emulator. i know nothing about the full lore behind armored core but the game is fun and the story seems funny and interesting, i played it and have some fun time. but then, this guy...this maniac come and successfully induced a f*cking nightmare and headache for me, how in the world i can kill him, he made me learn what is a nightmare of a boss fight even before i know souls game.

@AumaanXaryne There were none in 4/4A, and 2:AA's was a bonus fight with a different Seraph design. The AA fight against regular Nineball was supposedly a rouge or missing unit, since those things were mass-produced. It doesn't help its arena is basically the training room for the original Raven's Nest. Also, Seraph originated in MoA.
This is what happens when you let Relius and Terumi build a giant robot.
These two would never make a mecha as badass as Nineballs. They would have to sell their souls to the devil in order to acquire this badassery.

To be honest, it would be a legitimately ironic event if they *did* create Nineball. Because Nineball himself goes against everything they believe. Or, well, at least everything Terumi believes. In trying to create the biggest magnificent bastard of an AI, they'd end up with one who would end up oufbastarding them and going out the other side of the bastard spectrum.

In ac2 another age. Beating 9 ball seraph took a high speed hover type with dual large back missiles and a grenade launcher. Not to mention leaving an energy shield up almost the whole time
nothingtodohere123 Yeah Seraph became a little too easy after a while. I honestly had more trouble with the tank thing.
+tonyblitz1 you dont have ot go that far to manage it you do need ot have good turning aiblity and some speed so you cna actually dodge and keep up with him so your weapons can lock onto it

Ricardo Teixeira I remember the tough part was building a mech with enough firepower that could still strafe fast enough to dodge the laser sword when 9 ball goes into chase mode, unless there's some other trick to dodging it. I just strafed a giant circle with him chasing, and by the time he paused to slash he'd miss by a narrow margin
+tonyblitz1 I just used my MG build, basically sword, gun, and small missiles, expecting to get wrecked while I figured out what to bring for real, and was able to just back-pedal the poor guy for a few minutes like some sort of flying lead pez dispenser..

@orkkilla5589 If you string all the stories together, you'll probably conclude that 9-ball is an AI originally designed to control, protect, oversee, and guide mankind. You shut him down in AC1. In Master of Arena he comes back secretly controlling the arena and corporations. You kill him because he's the AC that killed your family. In AC2 it's much speculated that Klien is the raven that originally defeated 9 ball. In AC2AA He comes back as a boss. In 3 He is the controller, Silent Line

He originally came from Armored Core: Master of Arena as the final boss. He was remembered for being a rape machine, and he's made re-appearances since then. He appeared in Armored Core 2: Another age as an extra boss, and he was harder than before because he was the exact same as the first game, while AC2's ACs were weaker gameplay-wise than the first game's ACs. He also appeared in Another Century's Episode: R as an extra boss, which is where this remixed version of his theme comes from.
Maybe I was lucky? I smoked AC2:AAs Nineball. Honestly I feel the 3v1 desert mission was harder.

To give you an idea. Nine Ball Seraph is basically a next with it's capabilities.. while in those games you're confined to a Normal. It also launches hi-laser blasts every time it swings it's swords.

Actually In Armored core nexus the final boss was named '????????' in the american version, in the japanese version the boss was named nineball. this boss was a pulverizer prototype based off nineball's original design and colorscheme (with slight variances) this followed into last raven where the pulverizors became more prominent and managed to evolve from the nineball archetype.
hope we get a rendition of this in AC6

Yeah, my initial reaction to fighting two whole ass Nineballs at the end of the original Armored Core was total confusion followed by frustration. Then Master of Arena came around and really pulled a Matrix red pill on me lol.

He's not bad in ACE. In AC: MoA he's a bitch unless you get the right setup and stay as far away from him as possible. In AC2: AA he's the exact same, it's just your weapons have gotten weaker and slower, and you yourself are slower as well, so that ramps the difficulty up by quiet a bit.

@Van0079 I don't know why I disregarded 4/4A, but you're right I don't think there was ever any mention or model that referenced Nineball. Canon or not, I'm convinced the Stinger/Phantasma/Seraph fights in AA were there just to make older fans curse at their TVs.
Should I be excited for or dreading the battle with this thing in AC1?
Expect to get reamed a few times. Stay on the move, use missiles to chip at him when you can't get a good gun lock, and for the love of god the moment that fight starts, MOVE. The instant you get control he's gonna rush you and can demolish your health right then and there.

Very first AC has the final mission with 2 nineballs fought one after another. Both are fought in giant shafts. Master of Arena has nineball show up a few times thoughout the game, can't remember if multiple show up in any level except the last. MoA's final mission, has one, then two together, before finally ending with NB seraph.
If you have the karasawa with option parts to boost fire rate and attack power, and reduce energy consumption, you can cheese regular NBs reasonably, although 2 at once can be a bitch regardless.

The final boss is a sort of miniature Nineball Seraph that does fly-bys with huge laser beams, and shoots missiles all over the fucking place. But he's really, really easy to kill.
Imagine a "NEXT" version of Nine Ball, even thoug he is already considered a NEXT
A NEXT would likely curb stomp Seraph.
Pretty sure that White Glint is supposed to be that.
Given how bloody slow these Generation 5 ACs are, I wouldnt be suprised if Nineball Seraph or even just plain old nineball couldnt take em on.

Depends on what you mean, The black is due to NB Seraph making a cameo in some AC manga (which took place in it's own setting). If you're talking about the blue ones, well... that's an in-joke in the Touhou community. Look up Cirno if you want to get that one.

@SuperRoboSquadron Yup, to give you a better difficulty comparison. Combine Final Zinaida, 2nd Final Pulver, Quad Pulver, and Original Nineball Seraph. and to add to all that, From Software still thinks that's not enough....and wantss to add more difficulty levels.
It's a lot better to search on the source site and get more images in a better quality than to use google's iffy search engine.
